KOETTING

Sophie J. Koetting, 54,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 27, 2002, at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.

She was born Oct. 27, 1947, in Freeburg, a daughter of Willard and Martha Dickneite Barton. She was married Aug. 10, 1968, in Freeburg, to Tom Koetting, who survives at the home.

She was a 1965 graduate of Fatima High School. She worked for the Missouri Division of Employment Security until her retirement in 2000. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Lori Brockman, Virginia Beach, Va., Stacy Schrimpf,  Jefferson City, and Ashley Koetting, of the home; one son, Thomas Koetting, Jr.,  Jefferson City; two sisters, Maxine Bax, Freeburg, Karen Hopkins, Kansas City; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg. The Rev. Michael Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Additional visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the Ashley Koetting Educational Fund or the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, both in care of Mary's Home Bank, 278 Hwy. H., Eugene, Mo. 65032.

HOGAN

Jo Ellen Hogan, 58, Hartsburg, died Jan. 27, 2002, at her home.

She was born July 6, 1943, in Shreveport, LA., a daughter of Raymond D. and Elizabeth Bushnell Woody. Her mother survives. She was married June 10, 1972, in Springfield, to James Hogan, who died Feb. 7, 1998.

She graduated from the University of Arkansas where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She received her master's degree in math from the University of Missouri. She taught at Springfield Glendale High School and retired from Hickman High School in Columbia.

Other survivors include: two brothers, Ray Woody and Don Woody, both of Springfield.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Unity Center, Columbia. Bart Larson will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, Option Care Missouri River Hospice, or a charity of the donor's choice.

McCLEARY

John Rigby McCleary, 64,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 26, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.

He was born Aug. 8, 1937, in Kansas City, a son of Glenn A. and Julia Quinby McCleary. He was married to Sandra McCleary, who survives.

He graduated from the University of Missouri. He was a case worker supervisor with the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Other survivors include one son, Randolph McCleary, Kansas City, and one sister Mary McCleary Posner, Columbia.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Columbia Cemetery. The Rev. Harvel Sanders will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to a fund to assist purchasing trumpets for children to Superintendant Jim Ritter, in care of UMB Bank, 1516 Chapel Hill Rd., Columbia, Mo. 65203.

SPARKS

Bobby Dean Sparks, 49,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 27, 2002, at Villa Marie Skilled Care Center.

He was born March 31, 1952, in Princeton, a son of Olin and Frances Moore Sparks. His stepmother, Janie Sparks, survives in California. He was married to Vicky Dame Sparks, who survives at the home.

He was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one stepdaughter, Temperance Johnson, El Paso, Texas ; one stepson, Terry John Terzill,  Jefferson City; one brother, the Rev. Larry Sparks, Joplin; and one granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. The Rev. Ted Huston will officiate. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Princeton.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.

Memorials are suggested to Central Baptist Church.

SCHIEDER

Josephine L. Schieder, 88,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 28, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born July 30, 1913, in Chamois, a daughter of George G. and Annie Nahler Walker. She was married April 19, 1939, in  Jefferson City, to Armine F. "Buck" Schieder, who died April 10, 1990.

She attended Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic School in Chamois. She worked for Oberman's Manufacturing from 1934-1939. She co-owned and co-operated the Chamois Cafe from 1939-1965. She also worked for Chesebrough-Ponds from 1966-1978. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Ladies Sodality, the Sew & Sew Quilters, the Catholic Knights of America and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 506 in Chamois.

Survivors include: one son, Jerome D. Schieder, Liberty; three daughters, Barbara J. Schwartz, Westphalia, Nancy M. Garrison, Blue Springs, and Angie M. Williams,  Jefferson City; one sister, Viola G. McCarty, Redbud, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Rev. Donald W. Lammers will officiate. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Peter's Catholic Church Building Fund.

NEELEY

Harold Ray Neeley, 74, Camdenton, died Jan. 26, 2002, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.

He was born June 24, 1927, in Sarcoxie, a son of Blufford and Edna McClellan Neeley.

He had lived in the Linn Creek area. He served in the Army until his retirement in 1967. He was a mechanic. He lived for several years in Rock Island, Ill., after retiring and then moved to  Jefferson City, where he lived for 18 years. In 1986, he moved to the Lake of the Ozarks.

Survivors include: two sons, Harold Neeley, Camdenton, and Len Neeley,  Jefferson City; one sister, Mary Pletch, Lebanon; and one grandson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Burial with military honors will be in Freedom Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

QUINN

Shirley J. Quinn, 62,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 26, 2002, at her home.

She was born Jan. 21, 1940, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of George and Dora Warden Burks. She was married Dec. 30, 1957, in Ashland, to Kenneth Wayne Quinn, who died Jan. 11, 2001.

A lifelong resident of the  Jefferson City area, she attended  Jefferson City public schools.

She worked in the taxation department of the Missouri Department of Revenue for more than 30 years.

She attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Hartsburg.

Survivors include: one son, Ronald W. Quinn,  Jefferson City; two daughters, Connie A. Castrop, Centertown, and Sheila Davidson, Hartsburg; three sisters, Edith Major, Opal Thomasson, and Georgia Saucier, all of  Jefferson City; two brothers, Bobby Burks,  Jefferson City, and Roger Burks, Macon; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Michael Quinn will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Hartsburg, Mo.

LARIMORE

Ruth P. Larimore, 75, Osage Beach, died Jan. 26, 2002, at Osage Beach Care Center.

She was born June 4, 1926, near Marion, a daughter of Fred F. and Elizabeth Hennreitta Wehmeyer Pace. She was married Nov. 30, 1942, in  Jefferson City, to the Rev. Orville A. Larimore, who died Sept. 30, 1999.

She attended Centertown High School and had lived in Prairie Home. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of God, Anderson, Ind.

Survivors include: three sons, Jerry Larimore, Osage Beach, Randy Larimore, Richwood, and Joshua Larimore, Boonville; two daughters, Deborah Holem, Prairie Home, and Sherry Stoerkel, Albuquerque, N.M.; one brother, Robert Pace, Wentzville; two sisters, Margaret Edwards, Kansas City, and Faye Ray, Centertown; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Gary Murrell will officiate. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery, near Russellville.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the family of Ruth P. Larimore, in care of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 South Oak Street, California, Mo. 65018.

SCHEPERS

Edwin George "Pete" Schepers, 71, Argyle, died Jan. 27, 2002, at his home.

He was born Oct. 22, 1930, in Argyle, a son of Joseph H. and Regina Pauline Wieberg Schepers. He was married May 5, 1956, in St. Martins, to Anna Marie Boeckman, who survives in St. Martins.

He worked as an electrician at IBEW Local 257,  Jefferson City, for 30 years until his retirement in 1991. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the Roman Catholic Church; Fraternal Order of Eagles,  Jefferson City; and VFW Post 1003,  Jefferson City.

Other survivors include: one son, Edwin J. Schepers, California; four daughters, Janice E. Grumke, St. Louis, Pamela A. Brauner, Centertown, Carla J. Luebbert,  Jefferson City, and Christie M. Murray, Harrisburg; two sisters, Rose Leach, St. Louis, and Marie Duncan, Hermann; one brother, Leonard Schepers, Red Oak, Iowa; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be at noon Thursday at St. Martin Catholic Church. The Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home,  Jefferson City, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
