SCRIVNER

Forrest Gene Scrivner, 61, Osage Beach, died Jan. 28, 2002, in Osage Beach.

He was born May 22, 1940, in Miller County, a son of Ernest and Lelia Opie Scrivner.

He was self-employed in construction.

Survivors include: one son, Forrest Mitchell Scrivner, Springfield; two daughters, Kimberly J. Webery, and Demetria "Dee" Fisher, both of Eldon; two brothers, Jewel Scrivner, Vallejo, Calif., and James Scrivner, Eldon; one sister, Byrlene Connell, Eldon; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Roy Weece will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials are suggested in care of the family.

VOSS

Raymond J. Voss, 71, Linn, died Jan. 29, 2002, at his home.

He was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Linn, a son of Joseph F. and Sophia Iven Voss.

A lifelong resident of the area, he graduated from Linn R-2 School. He was a farmer. He was a member of St. George Church and Western Catholic Union.

Survivors include: two brothers, Paul Voss,  Jefferson City, and Joe Voss, Linn.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. George Church, Linn. The Rev. Daniel I.J. Lueckenotte will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.

Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.

WOODS

George E. Woods, 75, Sunrise Beach, died Jan. 29, 2002, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.

He was born Dec. 21, 1926, in Clarksburg, W. Va., a son of Hiram P. and Bertie Shrout Woods. He was married May 4, 1980, in Long Beach, Calif., to Enid Masters, who survives at the home.

He retired from Stans Steel, Los Angeles, after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurie. He was a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Masonic Lodge and the Shriners Club.

Other survivors include: one son, James "Jim" Woods, Milwaukee; two stepsons, Jay Hunnemeyer, Robertsdale, Ala., and Scott Hunnemeyer, Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Linda Perleberg, Milwaukee, and Karen Singsheim, Merrill, Wis.; one sister, Margaret Ann Mayo, Clarksburg, W.Va.; and 14 grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie. The Rev. James Lawley will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be from 10:30-11 a.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurie.

BRUMLEY

Helen Marie Brumley, 78, Oskaloosa, Kan., formerly of Holts Summit, died Jan. 26, 2002, at Stormort-Vail Hospital, Topeka, Kan.

She was born May 21, 1923, in Cedar City, a daughter of Ernest E. and Clara Bertie Stewart Bratton. She was married to Vernon L. Minshall, who preceded her in death. She was married to Harold Victor Hughes, who preceded her in death. She was married to Otha A. Brumley, who preceded her in death.

She lived in the  Jefferson City and Holts Summit areas for most of her life.

She worked for Westinghouse and retired in 1983 as a quality control supervisor.

She also worked for the State of Missouri. She was a member of the Cedar City Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two daughters, Sandra K. Townsend, Fortuna, and Jacqueline S. Salsbury, Topeka, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

One son, Daniel L. Minshall, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit. The Rev. John Gorham will officiate. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to Hickory Pointe Care and Rehabilitation Center Activity Fund.

CRALL

Roma A. Crall, 89, Camdenton, died Jan. 29, 2002, at Ozark Care Center, Osage Beach.

She was born Feb. 28, 1912, near Passover, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Clark Waters. She was married in 1933, to Malcolm Crall, who died in March 1962.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Camdenton.

Survivors include: three daughters, Maxine Cyrus, Camdenton, Peggy Kosarko, Trinity, Texas , and Barbara Young, Osage Beach; one son, Joseph Malcolm Crall, Camdenton; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Dean Rooffener will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. today.

EVANS

Marie Louise Evans, 97,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 29, 2002, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.

She was born Oct. 21, 1904, in St. Louis, a daughter of George and Louise Oustalet Evans.

A former St. Louis resident, she attended Grover Cleveland High School and worked for various companies in the St. Louis area. She was a member of St. Pius V Church, St. Louis.

Survivors include one nephew, John Evans,  Jefferson City.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Pius V Church. The Rev. Mike Lydon will officiate. Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, St. Louis.

Visitation will be from 10:30-11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to St. Pius V Church, St. Louis, Mo.

Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.

FOSTER

Homer E. Foster, 91, Sedalia, died Jan. 30, 2002, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia.

He was born Dec. 21, 1910, in West Mineral, Kan., a son of Homer M. and Della Pearl Bryner Foster. He was married Aug. 31, 1940, to Lillian B. Smith, who survives at the home.

He formerly owned and operated a service station in Westport.

A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurie.

The remains were cremated. Inurnment will be at a later date in Versailles Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.

JAMESON

Steve Burke Jameson, 92,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 30, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born April 27, 1909, in McFall, a son of Miller and Maude Saunders Jameson. He was married Sept. 12, 1936, in  Jefferson City, to Marie Ann Veltrop, who survives at the home.

He graduated from McFall High School and attended Chillicothe Business College. He worked in surveys and plans for the Missouri Highway Department for 17 years and from 1963-1979 he owned and operated Burke Jameson Permit Service. He was also self-employed as a realtor.

He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Charlene M. Traubitz, Webster Groves; one sister, Nelle Winger, Cheyenne, Wyo.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel at St. Peter Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph S. Corel will officiate. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum.

The family will greet friends at a luncheon following the service in Selenger Centre.

Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Church Building Fund.

Arrangements are under the direction of Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.

KOWALSKI

Harry W. Kowalski, 87,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 30, 2002, at Villa Marie Skilled Care Center.

He was born Dec. 17, 1914, in St. Louis, a son of John and Agnes Zielinski Kowalski. He was married Nov. 30, 1940, in St. Louis, to Lillian Kampmann, who preceded him in death.

He attended St. Louis schools. He was an assistant superintendent with International Shoes in St. Louis and  Jefferson City for 40 years until his retirement in 1978. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, American Legion Post 5 and VFW Post 35.

He is survived by one brother and one sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, St. Louis. The Rev. Robert Banken will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors and from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Buchholz Mortuary, St. Louis.
