ROGERS

Myra Dean Rogers, 75, Jamestown, died Feb. 15, 2002, at her home.

She was born July 28, 1926, in Lupus, a daughter of Brown and Stella Hampton Vaughan.

Before moving to Jamestown, she lived in Springfield for 48 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Dale Street Methodist Church. She graduated from Prairie Home High School.

Survivors include: one daughter, Debra Steele, Jamestown; one granddaughter and one great-grandson.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services. The Rev. R.C. Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, north of Jamestown.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Missouri River Hospice, 1440 Aaron Court,  Jefferson City, MO 65101.

THORNTON

Jennifer L. Thornton, 53, Columbia, died Feb. 13, 2002 at Boone Hospital Center.

She was born Dec. 15, 1948, a daughter of Harry Bell and Mary Britt Bell. She was married May 28, 1972, to Thomas E. Thornton, who survives at the home.

She was employed at Boone Retirement Center as alLicensed practical nurse. She received her nursing license from the Columbia Public School of Nursing. In 1981, she moved to Columbia from  Jefferson City.

Survivors include: three daughters, Mary A. Bell, Jessica L. Thornton and Tomeka E. Thornton, all of Columbia; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Warren Funeral Chapel, 12 E. Ash, Columbia. The Rev. Carolus Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow in Olean Cemetery in Olean.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

ARNOLD

Jerry Jack Arnold, 59, Camdenton, died Feb. 15, 2002, at Barnes Jewish Hospital.

He was born Sept. 27, 1942, in Knoble, Ark., a son of William and Lula Tinker Arnold. He was married Nov. 10, 1982, in Farmington, to Ruth Arnold, who survives at the home.

He was an owner/operator truck driver and an Army veteran.

Survivors include: two sons, David, St. Louis, and Daniel, Wichita, Kan.; three daughters, Janel, of the home, Angel, Jacksonville, Fla., and Starr, St. Charles; two brothers, Joe Arnold, Bowling Green, Ky., and Don Arnold, Poplar Bluff; four sisters, Wanda Barnett and Lucille Archer, both of Knoble, Ark., Polly Hanner, West Plains, and Kay Jarrett, Paragould, Ark.; six grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton. Pastor Joe Arnold will officiate. Burial will be in Hedges Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday.

KLIETHERMES

Irene Catherine Kliethermes, 89,  Jefferson City, died Feb. 17, 2002, at her home.

She was born May 19, 1912, in Wardsville, a daughter of Bernard and Dorthea Schwaller Prenger. She was married May 18, 1937, in  Jefferson City, to Arthur M. Kliethermes, who died Feb. 10, 1986.

She attended the St. Stanislaus Parochial School in Wardsville and was a homemaker. She also worked at St. Marys Hospital as a nurse aide for 27 years until her retirement. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Survivors include: six sons, Dale A. Kliethermes, Loose Creek, Bob Kliethermes, Jim Kliethermes, and Ron Kliethermes, all of  Jefferson City, Tom Kliethermes, Holts Summit, and Rich Kliethermes, Anchorage, Alaska; one daughter, Barbara Dorge-Allen,  Jefferson City; one brother, George Prenger,  Jefferson City; two sisters, Stella Schrimpf,  Jefferson City, and Alline Utyro, Superior, Wis.; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Timothy Tatro will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Buescher Memorial Home.

Memorials are suggested to Missouri River Hospice, Baby Emily Fund, or a charity of the donor's choice.

BYBEE

William Glenn Bybee, 76, Versailles, died Feb. 17, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 20, 1925, in Taft, Calif., a son of Homer and Bessie Scott Bybee. He was married Sept. 8, 1946, to Maxine Keyes, who survives at the home.

He worked for Goodyear Rubber Plant in Topeka, the Kansas City Bifocal in Versailles and in maintenance for Morgan County R-II School District in Versailles. He retired from the floor covering business. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Versailles.

Survivors include: one son, James Braden, Versailles; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Roy Bennett and the Rev. Keith Williams will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles.

Memorials are suggested to Gideons International.

LINHARDT

Joseph H. Linhardt, 21, Wardsville, died Feb. 17, 2002, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born May 4, 1980, in Columbia, a son of James H. Linhardt and Ruth Chilton Ryals. His father, James, and his mother and stepfather, Ruth and Darrell Ryals, survive in  Jefferson City.

He graduated from Eugene Cole R-5 in 1998. He was a carpenter with local union 945 and worked for Braun Plastering Company for two years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Honey Creek.

Survivors include: one sister, Jennifer Doyle, Olathe, Kan.; one brother, Nicholas Ryals, Huntsville; fiancée, Kristi Ortmeyer, Brazito; and paternal grandparents, Frances and Ed Kroger,  Jefferson City.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Russell Bowder will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home,  Jefferson City.

Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

SCHUPP

Mabel E. Schupp, 78, Stover, died Feb. 16, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Sept. 18, 1923, in Florence, a daughter of Walter and Anna Spearing Casdorph. She was married April 9, 1949, in Florence, to Heinze E. Schupp, who survives at the home.

She was a 1942 graduate of Stover High School and worked for Primo Pants Factory in Versailles. She also worked for various other manufacturing companies before retiring. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Stover and the WELCA group.

Survivors include: two sons, Ronald Schupp, Marshall, and Dean Schupp, Olean; two daughters, Glenda Cook, Versailles, and Erma Wood, Kaiser; one sister, Mildred Elkins, Green Valley, Ariz.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

One great-granddaughter preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church. The Rev. Duane Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's UCC Cemetery in Florence.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30. p.m. at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover.

Memorials are suggested to Christ Lutheran Church.

PORTER

B. "Jay" Porter, 51, Lake Ozark, died Feb. 15, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center.

He was born Dec. 3, 1940, in Kansas City, a son of Byron and Frances Porter. He was married June 27, 1987, to Jean Geveden, who survives.

He attended Northeast High School in Kansas City and graduated in 1965 from University of Kansas with a degree in interior design. He worked for University of Missouri as an interior designer from 1965-1980. He worked as an architectural designer in Columbia from 1980- 1994 and he worked in Lake Ozark from 1994-2002.

Survivors include: three daughters, Kelly Perish, Kristy Mathany and Jessica Nazaroff, all of Kansas City; one step son, Jim Vietmeier, St. Louis; two step daughters, Kimberly Vietmeier and Sara Vietmeier, both of St. Louis; three grandchildren and four step grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia.

Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. Tuesday.

McKINNEY

Sally Azilee McKinney, 83,  Jefferson City, died Feb. 17, 2002, at St. Joseph's Home for the Aged.

She was born Oct. 12, 1918, in Fayette County, Ala., a daughter of James P. and Anne-Orpha Elizabeth Perry Jones. She was married Dec. 21, 1941, in Sikeston, to Glenn M. McKinney, who died Oct. 17, 1992.

She graduated from Matthews High School in Matthews and received an associate degree in teaching from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. She was a cosmetic manufacturing assistant for Cheseborough Ponds for 13 years until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the Church of Christ-Dix Road.

Survivors include: three sons, Neal McKinney, Wichita, Kan., Booth McKinney, Columbus, Ga., and Boyd McKinney, Holts Summit; one sister, Earline Dickson, Sikeston; four grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home,  Jefferson City. The Rev. Brent Newton will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to Dix Road Church of Christ, 204 Dix Road,  Jefferson City, MO 65109.
