DUNCAN
Carena Duncan, 62, Vienna, died Feb. 20, 2002, at her home.
She was born March 22, 1939, in Vienna, a daughter of Louis and Christina Ewers Renkemeyer. She was married Feb. 9, 1957, in Vienna, to John "Jack" Duncan, who survives at the home.
She managed the Indian Ford Resort on the Gasconade River from 1970-1980. She then worked at the Vienna Senior Citizens Center and was a rural mail carrier.
Survivors include: four daughters, Debra Havens, Dana Squires and Denise Wilkinson, all of Vienna, and Diana Deaton, Marshall; one brother, Robert Renkemeyer, Marthasville; six sisters, Mary Ketchum, Theodoisa, Imogene Wyss, Vienna, Cyrilla Weider, Brazito, Viola Borgmeyer, Union, Verna Key, Wright City, and Norma Logan, Jefferson City; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Vienna United Methodist Church. The Rev. Karen Alden will officiate. Burial will be in Vienna Public Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today and from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
Memorials are suggested to the Vienna Public Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund or the Leukemia Foundation.
EDMONDSON
Clara Marguerite Abbott Edmondson, 91, Ozark, died Feb. 17, 2002, at Missouri Baptist Home, Ozark.
She was born March 13, 1910, in Macon, a daughter of Bert and Laura Rogers Abbott. She was married May 29, 1948, in Jefferson City, to William C. Edmondson, who died Jan. 17, 1975.
She attended Jefferson City High School and graduated from Central Missouri State University. She received a master's degree in education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She was a teacher for the Jefferson City Public Schools for 35 years, retiring in 1973. From 1951-1955 she was manager of the Baptist Bookstore in Jefferson City.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and served for many years as a Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include: one stepson, Kenneth Edmondson, Bolivar; three step grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Freeman Mortuary. Ray Leininger will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday.

FOSTER
Gilbert "Gil" Foster, 72, Casa Grande, Ariz., died Feb. 17, 2002.
He was born Aug. 13, 1929, in Eldon, a son of Omer and Ruby Louis Foster. His mother survives in Kansas City. He was married June 5, 1952, in Everett, Wash., to Loyetta Jacobs Foster, who survives at the home.
He retired from the Navy as warrant officer and worked as a bus driver for the public schools. He was a member of the Lion's Club and the VFW. He was a member of First Christian Church in Eldon. He coached Little League baseball and was president of the Eldon Athletic Booster Club.
Survivors include: one daughter, Meichele Foster, Columbia; one brother, Glen Foster, Kansas City; three sisters, Dorothy Cooper, Peggy Robison and Helen Schaeffer, all of Kansas City.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church. The Rev. Shirley Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
HAYWORTH
Eva Lavina Hayworth, 89, Tipton, died Feb. 20, 2002, at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Sedalia.
She was born Dec. 25, 1912, in Lamonte, a daughter of Fred and Nancy Viola Fletcher Bobbitt. She was married May 11, 1929, in Sedalia, to William L. Hayworth, who died in 1985.
She worked at the Town & Country Shoe Factory in Sedalia for 20 years. She was a member of the Syracuse Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, John Hayworth, Belton, and William Hayworth, Craig; one daughter, Mildred Peoples, Syracuse; one sister, Hazel Knowles, Pilot Grove; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Beverly Hayworth, and one granddaughter preceded her in death.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton. The Rev. Gerald Berry will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery in Tipton.
Visitation will be from 1-3:30 p.m. Friday.
KERKSIEK
Edwin Louis Kerksiek, 77, Stover, died Feb. 19, 2002, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.
He was born April 16, 1924, in Stover, a son of Fritz and Lona Josie Wessel Kerksiek. He was married Aug. 11, 1957, in Stover, to Norine E. Witte, who survives at the home.
He was a farmer and a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stover.
Survivors include: one son, Ronald E. Kerksiek, Stover; and four grandchildren.
One daughter, Brenda Kay Kerksiek, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Cecil Murdock will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, St. Paul's Lutheran School, or the charity of the donor's choice.
KNIPP
Margaret J. Knipp, 95, Tipton, died Feb. 20, 2002, at Tipton Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 14, 1906, near Tipton, a daughter of Frank and Mary Ann Koechner Schreck. She was married Oct. 20, 1925, in Tipton, to Oscar Knipp, who died in 1992.
She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Tipton; St. Andrew's Altar Society; and Tipton Nutrition Center Area Agency on Aging from Moniteau County.
Survivors include: two daughters, Sara Miller, Tipton, and Eunice Vollrath, Pilot Grove; 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Kenneth Knipp, and one grandson preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Tipton. Fr. Henry Reichert will officiate. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Tipton.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Andrew's Church or school or a charity of the donor's choice.
LAKE
Dixie J. Lake, 71, Barnett, died Feb. 20, 2002, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.
She was born April 27, 1930, in Fortuna, a daughter of Samuel Z. and Lillian Faye Wright Charles. She was married Nov. 20, 1949, to James C. Lake, who survives at the home.
She graduated form Tipton High School in 1948 and taught Marvin 4-H for several years. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church in Versailles. She was a member of the Happy Homemakers Club.
Survivors include: two sons, Scott Lake and Mark Lake, both of Barnett; one daughter, Carla Herndon, Barnett; two brothers, Samuel Ned Charles, Independence, and Charles Ted Charles, Overland Park, Kan.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Gailya Dow will officiate. Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery near Versailles.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
LEWIS
Nelda Jo Lewis, 73, Sunrise Beach, died Feb. 19, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center.
She was born March 10, 1928, in Dallas, Texas , a daughter of Thomas J. IV and Etha Irene Mabry Poole. Her mother survives in Laurie. She was married to Thomas J. Lewis, who died in 1979.
She sold real estate for several years and was later bookkeeper for the Phillips 66 service station in Sunrise Beach.
Survivors include: four sons, Joe Garrett, Sunrise Beach, Floyd Garrett, San Leon, Texas , Paul Garrett, Danville, Calif., and Shane Rickman, Tanner, Ala.; two daughters, Pat Miller, Maryville, Tenn., and Becky Moser, Jonestown, Texas ; two stepsons, Doug Lewis and Brad Lewis, both of Dallas; one brother, Thomas B. Poole, Santa Fe, N.M.; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
One granddaughter preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Funeral Home. Graveside services and entombment will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Restland Chapel Gardens Mausoleum, Dallas.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday.

SANDERSON
Walter Ray Sanderson, 81, Hartsburg, died Feb. 19, 2002, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
He was born Sept. 23, 1920, in Wayne County, a son of Albert C. and Lillie Nelson Sanderson. He was married Feb. 18, 1945, in Columbia, to Anna Mallinckrodt, who survives in Hartsburg.
He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1947 with a degree in agriculture. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and served in the Navy Reserves until his retirement in 1965. He worked for the University of Missouri as a supervisor with the agriculture research station-south farms, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Hartsburg. He was a member of American Legion Post 424 in Hartsburg, the Ashland Masonic Lodge 156, and a charter member of the Hartsburg Lion's Club.
Survivors include: two sons, Harold Sanderson, Atsugi, Japan, and Paul Sanderson, Columbia; two daughters, Anne Vilhauer, Wall Lake, Iowa, and Nancy Holland, Ashland; four brothers, Glen Sanderson, Champaign, Ill., John Sanderson, Chanute, Kan., Hugh Sanderson, Hazelwood, and James Sanderson, Cape Girardeau; one sister, Marie Beckendorf, Brenham, Texas ; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Peace United Church of Christ. The Rev. Bryan Crousore and the Rev. James Sanderson will officiate. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m., at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland.
