SCHLUP

Helen Frances Bayne Schlup, 80, St. Charles, died Feb. 20, 2002, at St. Joseph's Health Center.

She was born, July 11, 1921, in Latham, a daughter of Elmer H. and Cora May Hofstetter Bayne. She was married Jan. 29, 1941, in California, to Toney Lee Schlup, who died Feb. 6, 1984.

She graduated from Latham High School and worked for the California Pants Factory. She was a homemaker and a member of Christview Christian Church in St. Charles. She was a former member of Latham Christian Church in Latham.

Survivors include: six sons, Clyde Lee Schlup, St. Charles, Thomas Lloyd Schlup, Wentzville, Daniel Kay Schlup, Defiance, Donald Ray Schlup, Foristell, Joseph Samuel Schlup and Norris Dean Schlup, both of St. Peters; two daughters, Toney Sue Findley, St. Charles, and Helen Ruth Green, Rocky Mount; one brother, Noel Bayne,  Jefferson City; three sisters, Matilda Jeffries, Lake Ozark, Lula Rohrbach, Latham, and Mattie Lachner, Palisades, Colo.; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Latham Christian Church. The Rev. Jim Randall will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Latham.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California.

Memorials are suggested to Latham Christian Church or the Highland Cemetery Fund.

SCHLUMBOHM

Thelma Irene Schlumbohm, 91,  Jefferson City, died Feb. 21, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born July 29, 1910, in Ulman, a daughter of William J. and Dora Ollie Sullivan Jones. She was married Feb. 18, 1945, in San Francisco, to Arthur Walter Schlumbohm, who died May 18, 1955.

A graduate of  Jefferson City High School, she worked for the Missouri Farm Bureau. She also worked for Memorial Hospital as a dietitian. She was a member of the First Christian Church, the Esther Circle of the church and the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include: one daughter, Carol A. Crader,  Jefferson City; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

One infant daughter, Mary Beth Tallman, and one granddaughter preceded her in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Crader will officiate. Burial will be in Gott Cemetery in Ulman.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to the Irene Schlumbohm Memorial Fund.

REED

Beulah B. Reed, 77, California, died Feb. 20, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Sept. 18, 1924, in California, a daughter of James and Cornelia Jobe Beutler. She was married Feb. 9, 1946, in California, to Layton Reed, who died Sept. 29, 2001.

She was a 1942 graduate of California High School and a 1943 graduate of Sedalia Business College. She worked in futures for the Kansas City Board of Trade. She also worked for the Moniteau County Collector's Office and for Bixler Gas Company as a bookkeeper.

She served as Welcome Wagon hostess in California for 12 years. She was a member of the D.A.R. and First Baptist Church of California, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and youth leader. She also assisted with vacation Bible school, was a member of the WMU, was a a former church secretary and was funeral dinner coordinator for more than 30 years.

Survivors include: two daughters, Debbie Sparks, California, and Lee Ann Nivens, Jamestown; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Greg Morrow will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.

Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 208 S. Oak St., California, Mo.; or to a charity of the donor's choice.

ELLIS

Lora J. Ellis, 62, Columbia, formerly of Hartsburg, died Feb. 21, 2002, in Columbia.

She was born Feb. 22, 1939, in Kansas City, a daughter of Emmett and Elizabeth Maupin Owen.

She was raised in Mexico and was a homemaker.

Survivors include: one son, Dale Scott, Centralia; three daughters, Teresa Haslett, Sugar Creek, Sandra Stephens, Columbia, and Judith Thompson, Fayette; three brothers, Ralph L. Millard, Robert E. Owen and Kenneth W. Owen, all of Mexico; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. The Rev. Mark Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Bonds Chapel Cemetery, Hartsburg.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to American Lung Association for Emphysema Research, 1118 Hampton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63139-3196.

NEUNER

Loretta Theresa Neuner, 85,  Jefferson City, died Feb. 21, 2002, at her home.

She was born Sept. 16, 1916, in Freeburg, a daughter of Theodore J. and Elizabeth Marie Lueckenhoff Neuner.

She graduated from Freeburg High School and was an elementary school teacher in Osage County, New Haven and Wardsville. She worked for the Missouri Secretary of State and the Missouri State Auditor as a secretary. She worked 43 years for the Chancery Office of the  Jefferson City Catholic Diocese. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a member of the Perpetual Adoration Society at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, actively supported the Carmelite Monastery and received the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice Award from Pope John Paul II in 2000.

Survivors include: one brother, Ted R. Neuner,  Jefferson City; four sisters, Erma Hasenbeck, Irene Neuner, Mary Ann Neuner and Marge Bose, all of  Jefferson City.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Gregory L. Higley and the Rev. Brendan Doyle will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery in Freeburg.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to the Carmelite Monastery, 2201 W. Main Street,  Jefferson City, MO 65109 or Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish, 1206 E. McCarty Street,  Jefferson City, MO 65101.

RICHARDSON

Angie Cleaves Richardson, 82, Laurie, died Feb. 20, 2002, at the Laurie Care Center.

She was born Dec. 26, 1919, in Altoona, Pa., a daughter of Benjamin F. and Mable D. Darlington Cleaves. She was married to Bob Coffman, who survives.

She graduated in 1939 from Carrnegie Technical School with a bachelor's degree. She taught at Bishop O'Hara High School in Kansas City and worked as a sales associate for a photo album company. She also worked as a medical transcriber for Research Medical Center until 1984 when she moved to the Lake of the Ozarks. She was a member of the St. George Episcopal Church in Camdenton.

Survivors include: one son, Larry Richardson, Denver; one daughter, Lynn Richardson Ludwigs, Kansas City; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. George Episcopal Church. Fr. Tim Coppinger will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the Guatemala School Childrens Fund.

Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.

ROSNER

Bryan Anthony Rosner, 33, Merriam, Kan., formerly of  Jefferson City, died Feb. 21, 2002, at his home.

He was born Sept. 30, 1968, in  Jefferson City, a son of Stephen A. Rosner and Stephanie Ann Healey Rose. Both parents survive in  Jefferson City.

He was a 1986 graduate of  Jefferson City High School.

Survivors include: two brothers, Stephen Douglas Rosner,  Jefferson City, and Michael Patrick Rosner, Springfield; maternal grandfather, Dan Joseph Healey, Panama City, Fla.; and fiancee, Sara Thompson, Merriam, Kan.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Cathedral. The Rev. David G. Buescher will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to masses or the Vitae Society, 621 E. McCarty Street,  Jefferson City, MO 65101.

SHEPHERD

Dan Shepherd, 75, Marthasville, died Feb. 20, 2002, in Marthasville.

He was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Eldon, a son of James and Anna Agnew Shepherd.

A Navy veteran, he was a life member of the American Legion. A salesman, he was employed with Starr Coffee and with Cummings/McGowin & West Heavy Equipment Company in St. Louis.

Survivors include: one daughter, Dana M. Morrow, St. Peters; one son, David A. Shepherd, Wright City; two brothers, James Shepherd, Eldon, and Logan Shepherd, Springfield; one sister, Barb Reavis, Houston, Texas , and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Stephen Riordan will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or the Missouri School for the Blind.

SLOAN

Bobbie Sloan, 67, Iberia, died Feb. 21, at Lake Regional Hospital.

She was born March 12, 1934, in New Mexico, a daughter of Newell W. and Mildred Gertrude Brown Carroll. She was married May 6, 1950, in Oceola, Ark., to Bob Sloan, who died March 13, 2000.

She graduated as medical technician from Rolla Technical Institute in May 2001. She worked as a seamstress. She attended Glover Chapel Church of Christ, Richland.

Survivors include: one son, Gary Sloan, Iberia; one daughter, Terry Tabor, Richland, two brothers, Ray Carroll, Gillette, Wyo., and David Carter, St. Louis County; two sisters, Jennie Wilson, Gillispie, Ill., and Dixie Mundy, Tallahassee, Fla.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Ralph Pitts will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Iberia.

Visitation will be from 11a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund.
