Clarence J. "Dee" DeDecker, 91, Gravois Mills, died June 5, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach.

Arrangements are incomplete at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.

EASTER

Richard P. Easter, 51, Hartsburg, died June 6, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.

Arrangements are incomplete at Freeman Mortuary.

KEMNA

James J. Kemna, 58, Freeburg, died June 6, 1999, at his home.

He was born June 13, 1940, in Tuscumbia, a son of Lawrence and Adolphine Voss Kemna. His mother survives in St. Martin's. He was married Oct. 21, 1961, in Freeburg, to Martha Herzing, who survives in Freeburg.

He attended St. Elizabeth schools and was employed at Quaker Window Products and Hilke's Ice Co., both in Freeburg. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Marlene Kleffner, Lisa Bauer and Gayla Bauer, all of Rich Fountain; two brothers, Donnie Kemna, Olean, and Dale Kemna, California; one sister, Bernice Willis,  Jefferson City; five grandsons and one step granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. The Rev. Mike Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Freeburg.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, and from 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna, with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to Masses.

TAUBE

Regina Sophia Taube, 86,  Jefferson City, died June 6, 1999, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.

She was born July 19, 1912, in Osage County, a daughter of Adolph and Louise Sophia Grefrath Kremer. She was married July 15, 1936, in  Jefferson City, to Edward Taube, who died Nov. 24, 1966.

She was a sewing machine operator for many years with Tweedie Shoe Factory and International Shoe Factory in  Jefferson City until her retirement in 1979.

She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.

She is survived by one brother, Cletus Kremer, Loose Creek.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church. The Rev. Erwin Conrad will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

BEMBOOM

Bernard J. Bemboom, 86, Antioch, Tenn., formerly of  Jefferson City, died June 7, 1999, at National Health Center, Nashville, Tenn.

He was born Dec. 14, 1912, in  Jefferson City, a son of William J. and Anna Kauffman Bemboom. He was married in  Jefferson City to Beatrice Steinmetz, who died Jan. 30, 1983. He was married in Antioch to Melba Williams, who died Nov. 9, 1996.

A graduate of St. Peters High School, he worked for Rodeman Supply Co. and also for the government in the transportation bureau. He retired as assistant foreman for Brown Shoe Co. after 33 years with the company. He then worked for the  Jefferson City Street Department.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He had been active with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in the area.

Survivors include: two sisters, Mary Ann Bemboom and Carrie Novick, both of  Jefferson City; one brother, William Bemboom, Lebanon; two stepdaughters, Peggy Coleman, Antioch, and Anita Wolfe, Greensberg, N.C.; and one granddaughter.

One son, Robert C. Bemboom, died Dec. 14, 1991.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Mark Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Buescher Memorial Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

KULLMAN

Jane M. Kullman, 72,  Jefferson City, died June 7, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 17, 1926, in St. Louis, a daughter of John and Jane Hartman Moore. She was married June 20, 1953, in Columbia, to John Kullman, who survives at the home.

A 1945 graduate of  Jefferson City High School, she attended  Jefferson City Junior College.

She worked as a secretary at the Missouri Department of Conservation and was secretary to the principal at Simonsen Junior High School.

She also was employed by the Thomas  Jefferson Library System.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Other survivors include: one son, Greg J. Kullman, Morgantown, W.Va.; one daughter, Debra J. Kullman-DeCata, Berwyn, Pa.; and five grandchildren.

One daughter, Donna Kullman, died May 19, 1984.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerome Brownlee and the Rev. John Hobratschk will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

CARRENDER

Pamela S. Carrender, 47, Henley, died June 7, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born April 14, 1952, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Henry L. "Sonny" and Velma Nichols Morris. Her father and stepmother, Sonny and Janice Morris, survive in  Jefferson City. Her mother and stepfather, Velma and Bobby Barnard, survive in Holts Summit. She was married May 26, 1973, in Hickory Hill, to Randall L. Carrender, who survives at the home.

A lifelong resident of Central Missouri, she was a 1970 graduate of  Jefferson City High School. She was a homemaker and member of Hickory Hill Baptist Church.

Other survivors include: one son, Ryan Barry Carrender,  Jefferson City; one daughter, Britney Lynn Carrender, of the home; one sister, Debbie Reynolds, Holts Summit; and two brothers, Rick Morris and Keith Morris, both of Holts Summit.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hickory Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Shane Crum and the Rev. Joe Skiles will officiate. Burial will be in Hickory Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the Britney Lynn Carrender Educational Fund.

CARRENDER

Lawrence E. Carrender, 77,  Jefferson City, died June 9, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born April 14, 1922, in Hickory Hill, a son of James and Lydia Jukes Carrender. She was married Aug. 5, 1945, in Honey Creek, to Martha C.L. Gretlein, who survives at the home.

A lifelong resident of Cole County, he was a farmer and worked as a laborer for Local Union 662 until his retirement. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Honey Creek.

Other survivors include: three sons, Stanley Carrender and Perry Carrender, both of Henley, and Terry Carrender,  Jefferson City; two daughters, Shirley Beck and Judy Schmoeger, both of  Jefferson City; two brothers, Gene Carrender, Henley, and August Carrender, Cleveland, Mo.; one sister, Elnora Mathis, Kansas City; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Larry Carrender, and one daughter, Nancy Carrender.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Gerald Scheperle will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund or Heisinger Lutheran Retirement Home.

KISO

Pearl Kiso, 87, Hope, died June 8, 1999, at Green Meadows Health Care Center, Linn.

She was born Dec. 10, 1911, in Hope, a daughter of Simon and Gertie Clark Stock. She was married Jan. 16, 1930, in Osage County, to John William "J.W." Kiso, who died May 12, 1962.

She was a lifelong resident of Osage County and a homemaker. She was employed by Linn Manufacturing for several years.

She was a member of  Oklahoma Church of Christ.

Survivors include: two sons, Eugene Kiso, Morrison, and J. Lyle Kiso, Mount Sterling; two daughters, Geraldine Branson, Linn, and Lila Mae Brinkmann, Morrison; one sister, Fern Hassler, Chamois; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Vernie Pearl Kiso.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at  Oklahoma Church of Christ, Osage County. The Rev. Gary Baker will officiate. Burial will be in  Oklahoma Church of Christ Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.

Memorials are suggested to  Oklahoma Church of Christ Cemetery.

SKAGGS

Argus Skaggs, 85, Dixon, died June 7, 1999, at Balanced Care Center, Dixon.

He was born Nov. 23, 1913, in Iberia, a son of Clyde and Mamie Hale Skaggs. He was married June 23, 1940, in Iberia, to Louise Nelson, who survives in Dixon.

He was a member of First Congregational Church UCC, Lebanon. He had been employed with Civil Service, Fort Leonard Wood Post Quartermaster as a warehouse supervisor for 18 years, retiring in 1960. He also farmed near Iberia.

Other survivors include: two brothers, Arthur Skaggs, Iberia, and Jim Skaggs, Crocker; and two sisters, Grace Groves, Iberia, and Irene Ward, St. Louis.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. The Rev. James St. John and the Rev. John Dorhauer will officiate. Inurnment will be in Kenner Cemetery, Dixon.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to the Kenner Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund or the American Heart Association.
