GLAZNER

Carmen Weaver Glazner, 75, Fort Worth, Texas , died March 3, 2002, in Fort Worth.

She was born in November 1926 in Olean, a daughter of Gail J. and Mary Enloe Weaver. She was married in 1946 in Muskogee, Okla., to Tom Glazner, who died in 1971.

She graduated from Olean High School. She attended Southwest Baptist College, Bolivar. She was an attorney and practiced law in the Fort Worth area for 32 years. She also was an elementary school teacher, real estate broker, field worker for the Texas Department of Human Services and worked for the Air Force.

Survivors include one brother, Dr. Norman Weaver, Abilene, Texas .

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Christian Church, Eldon. The Rev. Shirley Williams will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, or West Texas Legal Services, 600 E. Weatherford St., Fort Worth, Texas , 76102.

PRYOR

Hubert Mancel Pryor, 71, Gravois Mills, died March 4, 2002, at his home.

He was born Aug. 8, 1930, in Stover, a son of Charles and Mable Gertrude Need Pryor. He was married to Trish Newman, who preceded him in death. He was married to Carol McKinley, who survives in Greer, S.C.

He was a welder and also operated a traveling flea market for 20 years. He volunteered for three years at an Indian reservation in Arizona. He also volunteered at local nursing homes.

Survivors include: two sons, Terry Pryor, Sunrise Beach, and Tim Pryor, Versailles; one stepson, Mark Smith, Greer; three daughters, Kim Murdock and Cindy Masters, both of Gravois Mills, and Candice Osborn, Roanoke, Va.; one stepdaughter, April Smith, Greer; one brother, Glen Pryor, Versailles; two sisters, Dorothy McLennon and Virginia Smith, both of Versailles; 21 grandchildren; one step grandchild and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles. The Rev. Danny Owsley will officiate. The body will be cremated.

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to the Hubert Pryor Memorial Fund.

SKINNER

Nellie Wilma Skinner, 87, Laurie, died March 3, 2002, at Ozark Care Center, Osage Beach.

She was born Feb. 21, 1915, in Deep Water, Kan., a daughter of Edward S. and Margaret Epple Jones. She was married Sept. 18, 1948, to Charles Ralph Skinner, who died Aug. 3, 1997.

She worked in foster home care in Kansas City for many years. She was a member of Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurie.

Survivors include: two sons, Charles Beach Skinner, Sunrise Beach, and Bob Patton, Lee's Summit; three daughters, Pamela McCoy, New Market, Md., Donna Metzger, Sunrise Beach, and Linda Weatherford, Amarillo, Texas ; one sister, Opal Jones Keltner, Blue Springs; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Mary Daugherty, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. James Lawley will officiate. Burial will be in Garber Memorial Estates, Laurie.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.

Memorials are suggested to the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church Music Fund.

TRYON

J. Phil Tryon, 72, Linn Creek, died March 4, 2002, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.

He was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Detroit, a son of John L. and Iris Trinkle Tryon. His mother survives in Linton, Ind. He was married Aug. 5, 1950, in Detroit, to Darvene Scott, who survives at the home.

He retired from Chrysler Defense in Detroit and owned and operated the Malibu Beach Resort in Osage Beach from 1965-1985. He was a member of the Linn Creek United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 2517 in Osage Beach, serving as exalted ruler in 1980-1981.

Other survivors include: one son, Gary P. Tryon, Camdenton; two daughters, Susan Rosen, Camdenton, and Dori Lopez, Linn Creek; one brother, Jerry Tryon, Rochester Hill, Mich.; two sisters, Patricia Eldridge, Troy, Mich., and Marilyn Piegan, Royal Oak, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

One great-granddaughter preceded him in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Linn Creek United Methodist Church. The Rev. Cindy Trupp will officiate. Burial will be in Laughlin Cemetery, Camdenton.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.

Memorials are suggested to Linn Creek United Baptist Church.

TURPIN

William D. Turpin Jr., 84, California, died March 5, 2002, at Four Seasons Living Center, Sedalia.

He was born Aug. 27, 1917, in California, a son of William D. Sr. and Nancy Cole Snodgrass Turpin.

He worked in Kansas City as a machinist for TWA, Allis-Chalmers and Black-Silvas & Bryson Company. He retired in 1985 from Lipton Tea Company. He was a Baptist and an Army veteran.

Survivors include one son, William D. Turpin III, Raytown, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services, with military honors, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Hickman Cemetery, Clarksburg. The Rev. Greg Morrow will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials are suggested to Four Seasons Living Center Activity Account, 2800 Highway TT, Sedalia, Mo. 65301.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.

HOLLAND

Fern R. Holland, 89, Holts Summit, died March 5, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 1, 1912, in Chamois, a daughter of Jacob and Octavia Wilson Ferguson. She was married to Guy Holland, who died in 1966.

She was a Home Health Care nurse for about 10 years. She was a member of the Chamois Christian Church.

Survivors include: one son, Jerry Holland, Holts Summit; two sisters, Ruth Williams,  Jefferson City, and Ethel Friend, Murphysboro, Ill.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Chamois Christian Church. The Rev. Gary Ruff and the Rev. Don King will officiate. Burial will be in Deer Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Meyer-Hilke-Millard Funeral Home, Chamois.

Memorials are suggested to Deer Creek Cemetery.

PITTROFF

Helen Maude Pittroff, 85,  Jefferson City, died March 6, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 6, 1916, in Kennett Square, Pa., a daughter of Robert T. Sr. and Josephine Orem Nields Mendenhall. She was married Nov. 2, 1940, in Kennett Square, to Albert Frederick Pittroff, who survives at the home.

She graduated from Kennett Consolidated School in Kennett Square and Goldey Business College in Wilmington, Del. She was a homemaker and worked as a secretary for duPont deNemours and Company in Wilmington. She was attended the Central United Church of Christ and Capital City Christian Church. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Hawthorn Garden Club, Cole County Republican Womens Club, X-Club of  Jefferson City and the Emma DeWyl Circle.

Survivors include: two daughters, Ann Lynn Miller, St. Peters, and Betty Kay Phillips, Perryville; one brother, Alfred Mendenhall, Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Lydia Chub Besecker, Canadensis, Pa.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Barry L. Hoskins and the Rev. John Tarbet will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to the Evangelical Children's Home, St. Louis, the First Presbyterian Church in Perryville, the St. Charles Presbyterian Church in St. Charles or to the charity of the donor's choice.

YORK

Robert L. York Jr., 67, Hartsburg, died March 4, 2002.

He was married to Jacquelin O. Matherly, who preceded him in death.

A graduate of the FBI National Academy, he was a past assistant chief of police in Arnold.

Survivors include: one son, Gary F. Thaller; one brother, Michael York; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 9:45 a.m. Friday at Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, Arnold. Burial will be in National Cemetery,  Jefferson Barracks.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society of Missouri or the American Heart Association.

ROLLINS

Oland Rollins, 86, Dixon, died March 5, 2002, in Maries Manor Health Center, Vienna.

He was born Oct. 30, 1915, in Maries County, a son of William and Mary Boyce Rollins. He was married April 22, 1939, in Vienna, to Norene Wiles, who died April 27, 2000.

He was a lifelong farmer in Maries County and a member of the Smyrna Church of Christ near Dixon.

Survivors include: two sons, Gilbert Rollins and Randy Rollins, both of Dixon; one daughter, Doris Cohlmia, Wichita, Kan.; four brothers, William Rollins and Myrl Rollins, both of Crocker, Gary Rollins, Dixon, and Forrest Rollins, state of Washington ; two sisters, Eileen Wither and Darlene Hayes, both of Dixon; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

One grandson preceded him in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery near Dixon.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and from 9-10 a.m. Friday.
