MIRTS
Bernice Mirts, 94, Odessa, Texas , formerly of Fulton, died March 5, 2002, at Parks Methodist Retirement Village, Odessa.
She was born March 23, 1907 in Dixie, a daughter of John T. and Ida Newsom Gathright. She was married in 1925, to John David Mirts, who died Dec. 8, 1984.
She graduated from Fulton High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Fulton. She was a member of the Philmore club and the sewing club.
Survivors include: two sons, David Mirts, Odessa, Texas , and Gary Mirts, Shreveport, La.; one daughter, Wilda Bryan, Jefferson City; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. The Rev. Ray Dunlap will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today.

FOSTER
Haskell Gerald Foster, 82, Browning, died March 6, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born March 8, 1919, near Humphreys, a son of John W. and Dora Ellen Bundridge Foster. He was married Dec. 16, 1950, in Purdin, to Velma Jean Maggart, who survives.
He worked for the Chevrolet Garage in Browning as a mechanic and body man for 40 years. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 274 in Browning.
Other survivors include one son, Gerry Foster, Jefferson City, and two grandsons.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Browning. The Rev. James King will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Deep Springs Cemetery near Browning.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Ruschmeier Funeral Home, Browning.
Memorials are suggested to the Linn County Chapter of the American Cancer Society or the Browning Betterment Association.
FARRIS
Clara Ann Farris, 69, California, died March 6, 2002, at her home.
She was born Jan. 29, 1933, in Folk, a daughter of Anton and Verona Mueller Rademann. She was married Jan. 17, 1953, in Jefferson City, to William E. Farris, who survives at the home.
She was a private home nurse and was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, California.
Other survivors include: eight sons, Dave Farris and Nick Farris, both of Jefferson City, Mark Farris, Greg Farris and Daniel "Fuzz" Farris, all of California, Don Farris, Russellville, Mitch Farris, Marys Home, and Dennis Farris, Centertown; two daughters, Mary Anderson, California, and Tammy Inman, Clarksburg; four brothers, Edwin Rademann, Russellville, Alfred Rademann and Elmer Rademann, both of Folk, and Louis Rademann, Jefferson City; four sisters, Ann Wilson, Linn, Agnes Distler, Jefferson City, Regina Farris, New Bloomfield, and Mary Wekenborg, Euless, Texas ; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Annunciation Catholic Church. Msgr. Francis Gillgannon will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.

AMOS
Mary Joan Amos, 84, Russellville, died March 6, 2002, at Jefferson City Manor Care Center.
She was born March 23, 1917, in Harwell, England, a daughter of Alfred B. and Florence Mary Hall Harris. She was married May 12, 1945, in Harwell, to Clarence Edward Amos, who survives at the home.
She graduated from Harwell High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of England.
Survivors include: three sons, Anthony Phillip Sherwood, Dayton, Nev., and Patrick Sherwood and Michael Amos, both of Russellville; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Harwell, England.
Memorials are suggested to the Jefferson City Manor Care Center or a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.
ELMER
Mabel C. Elmer, 94, Jefferson City, died March 6, 2002, at Oak Tree Villas.
She was born Jan. 9, 1908, in Marshall, a daughter of Arthur and Mary Elizabeth Salley Brooks. She was married Dec. 24, 1929, in Marshall, to Edward Elmer, who died June 15, 1961.
She attended was a graduate of Marshall High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church, Christian Womens Fellowship and the Lydia Church Circle. She was a member of Jefferson Chapter 496, Order of the Eastern Star; the Commeraderie Social Club of Eastern Star; and was a life member of the Hawthorn Garden Club.
Survivors include one son, Neil B. Elmer, Powell, Ohio, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Lawrence Veatch will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church.
BROTHERSON
Gertrude Lee Walker "Gertie" Brotherson, 101, Kansas City, Kan., died March 7, 2002, at Presbyterian Manor.
She was born Jan 25, 1901, a daughter of Joseph and Rose Walker. She was married to Homer Brotherson, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, John H. Brotherson, Eldon, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Porter Funeral Home, Kansas City, Kan. Burial will be in White Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday.

CANNON
Daniel E. Cannon, 29, Lebanon, died March 6, 2002, in Macks Creek from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born March 21, 1971, in Bartow, Fla., a son of Earl and Hazel Marie Allen Cannon. His mother and stepfather, Hazel and Bennie Oscar Coleman, survive in Lebanon.
He was a certified nurses aide and a certified medical technician. He worked for Windsor Estates Care Center in Camdenton.
Survivors include: two brothers, Earl Jefferson Cannon and Donnell Lee Cannon, both of Lebanon; five sisters, Melissa Jeanette Cannon, Amanda Louise Sicard and Penny Marie Coleman, all of Lebanon, Janavie Marie Cannon, Lake Ozark, and Teressa Gwen Cannon, Wichita, Kan.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Coleman Family Cemetery, Lebanon.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
HILDEBRAND
Douglas Lee Hildebrand, 47, Jefferson City, died March 7, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Feb. 13, 1955, in Jefferson City, a son of Otto Sr. and Arleta Gretlein Hildebrand. His mother survives in Jefferson City. He was married Aug. 28, 1982, in Jefferson City, to Brenda Jean Weider, who survives at the home.
He graduated from Eugene High School and Linn Technical College. He worked for Scholastic Inc. and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 513 for 25 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Other survivors include: one stepson, James Shivers, Jefferson City; one stepdaughter, Stephanie Huskey, Jefferson City; two brothers, Otto Hildebrand Jr., Jefferson City, and John Watson, San Bernardino, Calif.; one sister, Janet Hinds, Escondido, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Hobratschk and the Rev. Jerome Brownlee will officiate. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Honey Creek.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund or Hospice of Jefferson City.
REEVES
Paul Reeves, 39, Vienna, died March 7, 2002, at his home as a result of an auto repair accident.
He was born Aug. 15, 1961, in Freeburg, a son of James and Alpha Burrus Reeves. His mother survives in Vienna. He was married June 22, 1982, in Troy, to Michelle Heberer, who survives at the home.
He was an auto repair mechanic and a member of the Vienna Hot Rod Association.
Survivors include: one son, Trent Reeves, Vienna; two daughters, Amber Reeves and Amanda Reeves, both of Vienna; seven brothers, James Reeves Jr., Topeka, Kan., Robert Reeves, St. James, Gary Reeves and Roy Reeves, both of Vienna, Richard Reeves, Rolla, Kenny Reeves, California, and Danny Reeves, Doolittle; four sisters, Rose Ward, Tuscumbia, Peggy Faughn, state of Florida, Sally Conner, Meta, and Julia Ridenhour, Greenville, Ill.; and one grandson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Kordes Funeral Home, Vienna. John Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.
SCHOLLMEYER
June A. Schollmeyer, 77, Jefferson City, died March 8, 2002, at Capital Health Care Center.
She was born Nov. 9, 1924, in St. Louis, a daughter of Edward and Viola Mueller Stuewe. She was married Sept. 9, 1942, in St. Louis, to Robert Edwin Schollmeyer, who died Oct. 25, 1996.
She graduated from Beaumont High School in St. Louis. She was worked as a receptionist for Gov. Christopher Bond. She retired to Sun City West, Ariz. She was a member of the Cole County Republican Women's Club, VFW Auxiliary Roy Sone Post 1003, and Meadow Lake Acres Country Club. She volunteered for the American Red Cross and the Peter Pan School.
Survivors include one son, Ronald E. Schollmeyer, Jefferson City, one daughter, Susan Schollmeyer, Phoenix, Ariz., and two grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
