CAMPBELL

Alden J. Campbell, 79, Lohman, died March 12, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born July 15, 1922, in Russellville, a son of Otto and Elza Roark Campbell. He was married May 1, 1947, in Russellville, to Marie Bruning, who survives at the home.

An Air Force veteran of World War II, he was a graduate of Russellville High School. He was a self-employed businessman in  Jefferson City and the Cole County area.

He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Russellville, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the VFW.

Other survivors include: two sons, Randall Campbell, Lohman, and James Campbell, Russellville; one daughter, Cindy Mueller,  Jefferson City; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Russellville. The Rev. Rob Fields will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Russellville.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Russellville, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to St. Michael's Catholic Church Building Fund.

BERNSKOETTER

Herbert Anthony Bernskoetter, 72,  Jefferson City, died March 16, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 14, 1929, in  Jefferson City, a son of Clem and Irene Kemmer Bernskoetter. He was married Sept. 10, 1955, in  Jefferson City, to Janice J. Green, who survives at the home.

He graduated from St. Peters High School in 1947. He served in the Army as a computer analyst during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Joseph's Cathedral.

He worked for the Missouri Division of Employment Security from 1953 to 1955. He retired from IBM as a marketing manager in 1983.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Pamela Cannon, Fenton, and Julie Mealy, New Bloomfield; one sister, Karen Poetker,  Jefferson City; three grandchildren and three step grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Cathedral. Fr. Fred Elskamp will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Helias Foundation.

BRADEN

Ann V. Braden, 85,  Jefferson City, died March 16, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 26, 1916, in Etterville, a daughter of Lonnie and Ada Lee Berry Bell. She was married to Hollis White . She was married to Carl Braden.

She attended Mt. Pleasant School, near Eldon. She was a member of First Christian Church, Tipton, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.

She worked as a waitress at several restaurants in  Jefferson City and in the meat department of Gerbes supermarket until her retirement.

Survivors include: one daughter, Carol Ann Taggart, Versailles; one sister, Winnifred Hutchison, Versailles; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Jasper Hunter will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Garden Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Buescher Memorial Home.

Memorials are suggested to the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Versailles.

BRUNNERT

Goldie Brunnert, 92, Argyle, died March 14, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Feb. 10, 1910, at Piedmont, a daughter of Charles and Nettie Palmer Seematter.

She was married Sept. 24, 1927, in Waterloo, Ill., to Anton Brunnert.

She was a member of St. Aloysuis Catholic Church in Argyle. She was a seamstress for Goldie's Department Store and Sears before retirement.

Survivors include: one son, Tom Brunnert, Argyle; eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Aloysuis Catholic Church in Argyle. The Rev. Mike Murphy will officiate.

Visitation will be 9:30-10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Aloysuis Catholic Church.

The body was donated to St. Louis University School of Medicine.

DANNER

Betty Lou Danner, 67, Barnett, died March 16, 2002, at her home.

She was born July 1, 1934, in Joplin, a daughter of Ira B. and Mary Lee Wilbourn Burnell.

She lived at Lake Lotawana for 30 years before moving to Barnett. She owned Sherri's Hacienda, near Barnett.

Services will be at noon Tuesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial will be in the Danner Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-noon Tuesday.

LEACH

Venita G. Leach, 86,  Jefferson City, died March 16, 2002, at St. Joseph Home for the Aged.

She was born Oct. 6, 1915, in Vienna, a daughter of Louis P. and Myrtle N. McGee Miller. She was married July 5, 1935, in Fulton to Harry F. Leach, who died Nov. 27, 1998.

She was a 1935 graduate of  Jefferson City High School. She worked at Busch's Florist from 1948 to 1951, and was a secretary with the Missouri Department of Liquor Control from 1951 until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of First Christian Church and attended Agape Christian Fellowship.

Survivors include: two daughters, Janice Heflin, Lohman, and Karen Cruse, Kansas City; one sister, Faye Bruner, Odessa; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

One granddaughter died June 12, 2001.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. The Rev. Eldon Heflin will officiate. Burial will be in Elston Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. Monday.

Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Home for the Aged.

LOUTENSCHLAGER

Erma Lou Loutenschlager, 90, Mexico, formerly of Steedman, died March 15, 2002, at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico.

She was born March 8, 1912, in Mokane, a daughter of Samuel and Caroline Kreuger Johannaber. She was married April 11, 1934, in Mexico, to Chris Fred Loutenschlager.

She was a member of Steedman United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school. She served as a project and community leader in Steedman Busy Bee 4-H Club. She worked as a C.N.A. at Riverview Nursing Home for 12 years until her retirement. She and her husband moved to Mexico in 1992.

Survivors include two daughters, Joan Brock, Madison, Wis., and Mary Jean Crews, Mexico; three granddaughters, Caroline Brock, Jolene Crews and Elaina Crews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Dr. Al Moreau will officate. Burial will be in Mokane Cemetery in Mokane. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton.

Memorials are suggested to Steedman United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.

MAHANEY

Blanche Lease Mahaney, 88, Belle died March 15, 2002, at her home.

She was born June 22, 1913, in Intake, Mont., a daughter of Albert and Ethel Hursh Lease.

She was married May 8, 1937, in St. James to Keep Mahaney, who died Nov. 3, 1991.

She graduated from Vienna High School in1931. She retired from International Shoe Company in 1976. She was a member of Belle Church of Christ.

Survivors include: four daughters, Ethel Runge and Janie Snitker, both of Belle, Sandra VanHeukelem, Littleton, Colo. and Linda Ridenhour,  Jefferson City; two sons, Albert Mahaney and Richard Mahaney, both of Belle; one sister, Betty Elrod, Erin, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Belle Church of Christ. Dan Gannon will officiate. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at Sassmann's Chapel in Belle.

McCOLLUM

Ronald Gene "Ronnie" McCollum, 63, of  Jefferson City died March 15, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Oct. 12, 1938, near Green City, a son of Earl Clifton and Fay Edith Reed McCollum. He was married Oct. 11, 1980, in Green City to Sumanee Wsaenwiweg, who survives at the home.

He was a 1957 graduate of Browning High School. He graduated from Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, now Truman State University. He was employed as a mail clerk in  Jefferson City for the past 20 years. A former resident of Winigan, he was a member of Winigan A.F. & A.M. Lodge #540 and the Winigan Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two brothers, Richard McCollum, New London and Darrel McCollum, Milan.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Winigan Baptist Church in Winigan. Pastor Rich Wills will officiate. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery. Visitation will be before noon Sunday at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. Visitation will from 1-2 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Price Cemetery Association.
