BENNETT

Arcada Grace Bennett, daughter of Mickey A. Jr. and Deena Kay Bennett, Barnett, died shortly after birth March 14, 2002.

Other survivors include: one brother, Amarya Noah Bennett, of the home; grandparents Doris Hilty, Versailles, and Mickey Bennett Sr., Sugar Creek.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethel Mennonite Church near Fortuna. Joe Lietzke will officiate. Graveside services will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.

GREEN

Willie Ellen Odel Smith Green, 86,  Jefferson City, died March 18, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 28, 1915, in Tulip, Ark., a daughter of the Rev. Willie B. and Mattie Amy Baugh Smith. She was married June 18, 1940, in Little Rock, to the Rev. William Martin, who preceded her in death. She was married March 25, 1961, in Fulton, to George H. Green.

She attended school in Tulip and Shorter College in North Little Rock, Ark. She worked at Lincoln University in the Student Union as assistant hostess and at Page Library, retiring after 18 years. She was a member and church mother of Second Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), where she was a choir member and Sunday school member. She was CWF president, trustee, elder and Library Guild member. She was a member of the Community Center Association, CURE (Christians United for Racial Equity), Church Women United, Council of Clubs, Modern Priscilla Art and Charity Club, Christian Women's Club and a life member of the NAACP.

She received the Martin Luther King, Jr. Award from the African-American Ministerial Alliance in 1996, a Valiant Woman award from Church Women United in 1996 and the David Brent Racial Justice Award from CURE in 2000.

Survivors include: one son, Waymon C. Martin, High Point, N.C.; three daughters, Edna R. Martin-Ruff, Kansas City, Theresa Ann Green Jacques, Marshall, and Mattie W. Martin Chambers,  Jefferson City; one brother, Henry Smith, Malvern, Ark.; three sisters, Ortha D. Walker and Lacerine Bell, both of Malvern, and Bernice Lambert, Little Rock; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

One infant son, William Martin Jr., and one stepdaughter, Ethel Clara Green Herndon, preceded her in death.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Second Christian Church.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Easter Seals Adult Day Services at Capitol City, 609 Marshall St.,  Jefferson City, Mo. 65101; or to Second Christian Church, 703 E. Dunklin St.,  Jefferson City, Mo. 65101.

Arrangements are under the direction of Green Funeral Home, Marshall.

HOLLADAY

Persia M. Holladay, 73, Camdenton, died March 18, 2002, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.

He was born March 3, 1929, in Hope, Ark., a son of Shank and Alice Barnes Holladay. His mother, Alice Knight, survives in Camdenton.

He was a sheet metal worker.

Survivors include one sister, Josephine Erickson, Camdenton.

Services will be at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.

RITCHIE

Geraldine Ritchie, 82, Ottawa, Kan., formerly of Versailles, died March 19, 2002, at Ottawa Retirement Village.

She was born Feb. 7, 1920, in Versailles, a daughter of Atwell and Alpha James Bauer. She was married June 7, 1938, to Henry L. Ritchie, who died Feb. 26, 1994.

She worked at Brown Shoe Company and the Kidwell Rest Home, which became Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: one son, William Ritchie, Kansas City; four daughters, Helen Graham, Kansas City, Betty Glover, Independence, Peggy Porter, Ottawa, and Patti Zabienski, Glenpool, Okla.; one brother, Tom Bauer, Versailles; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

RITTERBUSCH

Fern Eleanor Ritterbusch, 80, Fulton, died March 17, 2002, at Lenoir Health Care Center, Columbia.

She was born Feb. 5, 1922, in Owensville, a daughter of William F. and Mary Zelma Miller. She was married Aug. 30, 1942, to Dr. James K. Ritterbusch Sr., who died in 1983.

She attended school in  Jefferson City and graduated from Owensville High School. She attended Southwest Texas State University. She worked for the Missouri State Legislature, the office of the president of Westminster College, Callaway Bank, and in the office of the president of the MK&T Railroad, St. Louis. A Fulton resident since 1958, she was a member of the First Christian Church, Fulton. She was active in the Missouri State Medical Auxiliary, Callaway County Medical Auxiliary, Friends of Winston Churchill Memorial and was a member of the Board of Associates of Fulton Colleges.

Survivors include one son, Dr. James K. Ritterbusch Jr., Lexington, Ky; and one granddaughter.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Ray Dunlap and the Rev. Raymond McCallister Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church, 6 East 7th Street, Fulton, Mo. 65251; or the Winston Churchill Memorial, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas, Fulton, Mo. 65251.

STANFILL

Patricia M. Stanfill, 63, Linn Creek, died March 17, 2002, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.

She was born Feb. 22, 1939, in Decatur, Ind., a daughter of Harry J. and Dorothy P. Dull. She was married Feb. 5, 1958, to Jeral Stanfill, who survives at the home.

She was a bank officer for Boatmans Bank in St. Louis for 32 years. A Baptist, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include: two brothers, Bud Dull and Richard Dull, both of the state of Michigan; and one sister, Linda Crawford, Orlando, Fla.

No services are planned.

Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.

WEEDEN

Raymond Kern Weeden, 81,  Jefferson City, died March 18, 2002, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.

He was born Nov. 28, 1920, in Hannibal, a son of Colian T. and Jewell Finnel Weeden. He was married Jan. 21, 1947, to Beatrice Lynn Peters, who survives at the home.

He was a 1938 graduate of Clarence High School, Clarence. He retired in 1983 as a security officer with the rank of major from the Missouri Department of Corrections' Renz Farm Correctional Facility. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles;  Jefferson Lodge 43, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons; and Victoria Chapter 14, Order of Eastern Star.

Oter survivors include one daughter, Diana Eicholz,  Jefferson City, two grandsons and one great-grandson.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Shelbina Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.

VIETH

James B. Vieth, 63,  Jefferson City, died March 19, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born March 14, 1939, in  Jefferson City, a son of William and Mathilda Bemboom Vieth. He was married May 5, 1962, in  Jefferson City, to Judith Anne Deel, who survives at the home.

A lifelong resident of Central Missouri, he was a 1957 graduate of Helias High School before attending Lincoln University. He was sports editor of the  Jefferson City News Tribune and later an administrator with the Missouri State High School Activities Association.

He owned and operated Oscar's Steak House for several years and remained active in the restaurant business.

He officiated football and basketball in the area and provided commentary during sporting events for several area radio stations.

He also coached the  Jefferson City Ban Johnson baseball team, the American Legion baseball team and was active in the  Jefferson City Senior Babe Ruth baseball program.

He was a member of St. Peters Church; the Holy Name Society; the Missouri Sportswriters Association; and the Cole County Sheriff's Auxiliary.

Other survivors include: one son, James C. Vieth,  Jefferson City; two daughters, Leslie Vieth and Lisa S. Rush, both of  Jefferson City; one brother, Francis W. Vieth,  Jefferson City; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Peters Church. The Rev. Donald Lammers will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Freeman Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the Callaway Hills Animal Shelter, the  Jefferson City Animal Shelter or the American Heart Association.

SENEVEY

Jessie Leo Senevey, 97, Overland Park, Kan., formerly of  Jefferson City, died March 20, 2002, at Villa Saint Joseph Skilled Nursing Facility.

She was born July 16, 1904, in Linn, a daughter of Edward and Polla Emeline Regnier Carey. She was married Aug. 8, 1931, in Linn, to Charles Senevey, who died Oct. 6, 1964.

She was a graduate of Linn High School and attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. She was a homemaker and also taught school for a number of years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Chamois and the Highway 54 Church of Christ in  Jefferson City.

Survivors include: one son, Leo Charlie Senevey, Sidney, Ohio; one daughter, Adele Yockey, Overland Park, Kan.; two sisters, Jewell Baker, Loveland, Colo., and Cleo Holland, Dallas, Tex.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Buescher Memorial Home. Pastor Keith Barnhart, Pastor Rick Yoder, and Pastor Joshua Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Linn.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to the Chamois Church of Christ or Highway 54 Church of Christ in  Jefferson City.
