PRYOR
Donald Lee Pryor, 66, Vienna, died March 25, 2002, at his home.
He was born Oct. 15, 1935, in St. Clair. He was married Feb. 4, 1961, in St. Louis, to Orpha Caledonia Feeler, who survives in Vienna.
He was an electronics instructor in the Air Force for 21 years, serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars before retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America, the Retired Enlisted Association and the Disabled American Veterans.
Other survivors include: two sons, Gary Hill and Charles Pryor, both of Vienna; two daughters, Trula Woods, Jefferson City, and Dawnette Jones, West Plains; one sister, Linda Faye Reeves, Cuba; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Two granddaughters preceded him in death.
Services will be in 11 a.m. Thursday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Burial with military honors will be in the James Community Cemetery, near Vienna.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today and from 10-11 a.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the James Community Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
McCARTY
Era "Poodle" McCarty, 90, Columbia, died March 25, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born Oct. 24, 1911, in Boone County, a son of William V. and Matilda Sapp McCarty. He was married June 29, 1932, in Columbia, to Dorothy Crane, who survives in Columbia.
He was a member of Nashville Baptist Church, Ashland. He worked at the Rock Wool Plant, Easley, and he was a farm manager for over 22 years for John Epple, Columbia. He worked at the University of Missouri as a truck driver until his retirement in 1976.
Other survivors include: two sons, Frankie Lee McCarty and Era Carlton McCarty, both of Columbia; one daughter, Ina Sue Acton, Columbia; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Nashville Baptist Church. The Rev. Kevin Collins will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland.

HANLON
Betty Jean Hanlon, 67, Gravois Mills, died March 22, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center.
Arrangements are pending at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
WILLIAMS
Erica L. Williams, 23, Columbia, formerly of Clarksburg, died March 23, 2002, as a result of an automobile accident.
Arrangements are incomplete at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.
SHERTZ
Charles D. Shertz, 56, Tebbetts, died March 23, 2002, at his home.
He was born Aug. 7, 1945, in Rogersville, a son of Creed and Gladys Pursley Shertz. His mother survives in Rogersville. He was married Oct. 24, 1965, in Rogersville, to Olivia "Jeanne" Corning, who survives at the home.
He graduated from Rogersville High School in 1963 and attended School of the Ozarks. He was a farmer and served in the military since 1965, achieving the rank of master sergeant in the Missouri Army National Guard.
Other survivors include: two sons, Charles Eric Shertz, Tebbetts, and William Craig Shertz, West Plains; one daughter, Lorrie Whitener, Jefferson City; two brothers, Don Shertz, Rogersville, and Richard Shertz, West Plains; two sisters, Dixie Spragg, Rogersville, and Kathy Wright, Springfield; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Monte Shinkle will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
McDANIEL
Lyndon D. "Slats" McDaniel, 90, Boonville, formerly of Wooldridge, died March 25, 2002, at Cooper County Hospital, Boonville.
He was born May 11, 1911, near Clarksburg, a son of Lashley T. and Jesse Willett McDaniel. He was married Dec. 17, 1932, in California, to Amanda Marion Fulks, who died in January 1986.
He graduated from Clarksburg High School. He worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad for 33 years, 30 years as foreman. He retired in 1976. He was a member of Wooldridge Baptist Church. He was a former mayor of Wooldridge and a member of United Brotherhood of Rail Workers.
Survivors include: one son, Jim McDaniel Sr., Fulton, Miss.; one daughter, Florene Hickam, Bunceton; one brother, L.T. McDaniel Jr., Camdenton; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
One granddaughter preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Wayne Merrill will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

LOOTEN
Leander F. "Cricket" Looten, 82, Jefferson City, died March 26, 2002, at Audrain Medical Center, Mexico.
He was born Feb. 26, 1920, in Jefferson City, a son of John and Sophia Bellman Looten. He was married to Florence Bruemmer, who preceded him in death.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, he attended Jefferson City schools. He worked with the Postal Service for many years. He also worked for the Missouri Bar Association and Capital Mall. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: one brother, Norman Looten, Jefferson City; and one sister, Lucille Matthews, New Haven.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Gregory Higley will officiate. Graveside services with military honors will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico.
ANDERSON
Robert William Anderson Sr., Tebbetts, 78, died March 27, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born July 24, 1923, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, a son of Percy W. and Olga Thompson Anderson. He was married Nov. 30, 1947, in Council Bluffs, to Leah Harris, who survives at the home.
He graduated from Council Bluffs High School and attended LaSalle University in Chicago. He worked in industrial and sales management in Chicago and Danville, Ill., for 30 years before moving to Jefferson City in 1977. He owned and managed Bullock Builders before retiring in 1987. He worked as sales manager for the John Deere dealership from 1987-1997.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Community of Christ Church. He was a member of Providence Lodge 711, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, Chicago, and Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Danville in Danville.
Survivors include: one son, Robert W. Anderson Jr., Linn Creek; two daughters, Patricia Ann Haag and Deborah Lynn Anderson, both of Tebbetts; one sister, Joan Sessions, Dennison, Iowa; and one grandchild.
One granddaughter preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Pastor Garland Land will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Friday.

ARNOLD
Tom H. Arnold, 90, Ozark, formerly of Camdenton, died March 27, 2002, at his home.
He was born March 6, 1912, in Mansfield, a son of Robert A. and Erna Gravens Arnold. He was married Jan. 30, 1942, in Springfield, to Vera Marie Orr, who survives at the home.
An Army veteran, he taught math in Camdenton for 20 years. He was a member of Community Christian Church, Camdenton, Linn Creek Masonic Lodge 152 and 32 Scottish Rite in Joplin.
Other survivors include: one son, Dean Arthur Arnold, Ventura, Fla.; two daughters, Sharon J. Salmons and Karen J. Potter, both of Ozark; one sister, China Jones, Boulder, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Tracy Carroll will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Weaver Cemetery, Ozark.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, with Masonic services at 7 p.m.
BOETTCHER
Karl I. Boettcher, 63, Versailles, died March 27, 2002, at Eldon Healthcare.
He was born Feb. 12, 1939, in Des Moines, Iowa, a son of Albert and Dorothy Smith Boettcher. He was married in 1955 to Wanda Cowan, who died in 1969. He was married July 3, 1976, to Kathryn Louise Blacksten, who died May 25, 2001.
He worked for Sola Optical U.S.A. in Eldon as a line technician. He was a Navy veteran.
Survivors include: one daughter, Tammy Witherspoon, Eldon; two brothers, George Hensler and Albert Boettcher, both of Kansas City; two sisters, Betty Davis, Marshall, and Mystie Garsow, Belton.
Two sons, George Edward Boettcher and Albert Henry Boettcher, and one infant daughter preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Leslie Howard will officiate. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery near Barnett.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday.
HARRIS
Kenneth Wayne Harris, 59, Fulton, died March 26, 2002, at Fulton Nursing and Rehab.
He was born Sept. 5, 1942, in Fulton, a son of Chester and Geraldine Jenson Harris.
He worked for Fulton State Hospital and was a member of Heartland Church of the Nazarene in Fulton.
Survivors include: two daughters, Christina Case, Fulton, and Debra Ann Harris, Mexico; one brother, Billy Harris, Jefferson City; one sister, Connie Cowan, Ozark; and two grandsons.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton. The Rev. Gary Garrett will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton.
