ALBERTY
Louise Alberty, 76, Columbia, formerly of Jefferson City, died April 1, 2002, at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
She was born Nov. 29, 1925, in Jasper County, a daughter of Roy H. and Edna Pearl Carr Fullerton. She was married March 21, 1945, to John W. Alberty, who survives at the home.
She was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School. She lived in Jefferson City for 38 years. She worked as an assistant to the underwriters at Missouri Farm Bureau for 17 years until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jefferson City. She was a charter member of P.E.O. Chapter J.V.
Survivors include: two sons, Blaine Alberty, Columbia, and Robert Alberty, Clever; one daughter, Marsha Henson, Oklahoma City, Okla.; two brothers, Lyle Fullerton, Roseville, Calif., and Allen Fullerton, Norman, Okla.; one sister, Erylene Lewis, Sarcoxie; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Housh Funeral Home, Sarcoxie. Burial will be in Sarcoxie Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, Jefferson City. Visitation also will be from noon-1 p.m. Thursday at Housh Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
KOLB
Charles Joseph Kolb, 80, Jefferson City, died March 31, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Nov. 19, 1921, in Jefferson City, a son of Jacob B. and Magdalen Catherine Markway Kolb. He was married June 14, 1947, in Jefferson City, to Mary Anne Forck, who survives at the home.
He was a 1939 graduate of St. Peter High School. He attended Jefferson City Junior College and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. He retired in 1985 as vice-president of Exchange National Bank, where he worked for 44 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where he served as a former member of the parish council, lay minister, and past president of the Holy Name Society.
He was a past president, secretary, and treasurer of St. Peter Cemetery Association; past grand knight of Helias Knights of Columbus Council 1054; past faithful navigator of Dan C. Coppin Fourth Degree Assembly, Knights of Columbus; past state deputy and former master of the Eastern District of the Missouri Knights of Columbus; and past vice-supreme master of the Fr. Juan Padilla Province of the Knights of Columbus. He was a past president of the Missouri Fraternal Congress and a knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.
He was a past president of St. Marys Health Center Advisory Board; life member of St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary, and former member of the Sunrise Optimist Club. He was a volunteer with the Samaritan Center and Meals on Wheels program.
Other survivors include: one son, Bill C. Kolb, Amarillo, Texas ; two daughters, Becky A. Kennedy and Rose Anne Schmitz, both of Jefferson City; one sister, Grace Mary Vignola, Jefferson City; three brothers, Paul H. Kolb and Robert Kolb, both of Jefferson City, and Herbert A. Kolb, Hot Springs Village, Ark; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
One infant son, Charles Joseph Kolb, Jr., preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Gregory L. Higley will officiate. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

SOUTH
Services were Friday for Selma Anna South, 84, Hermann, who died March 26, 2002, at Frene Valley Health Care Center, Hermann.
She was born Feb. 7, 1918, in Moenville, S.D., a daughter of William and Ella Reissig Roesger. She was married April 12, 1941, in Jefferson City, to Nelson E. South, who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Berger.
Survivors include: one daughter, Carol Kopp, Hermann; one brother, Ernest Roesger, Jefferson City; one sister, Maxine Jarvis, Marshall; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services were at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann. The Rev. James Elliott officiated. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery in Berger.

WILSON
David Charles Wilson, 49, Eldon, died March 31, 2002, in Jefferson City.
He was born July 20, 1952, in Rochester, N.Y., a son of Charlie and Kathryn Lobinske Wilson.
He was a mechanic for Eldon Ford. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eldon. He was an Army veteran. He was president of the Eldon Freedom of the Road Riders, Chapter 21. He was a member of the Eldon Volunteer Fire Department and the L.O.M.A. Association.
Survivors include: one son, D.J. Wilson, Kirkwood; one daughter, Nicole Wilson, Kirkwood; one brother, Donald Wilson, Webster, N.Y.; and two sisters, Diane Brown, Eldon, and Dawn Wilson, Summersville.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. James J. O'Sullivan will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
CASSIDY
Lloyd "Lucky" Cassidy, 69, California, died March 31, 2002, in California.
He was born March 12, 1933, in Olean, a son of James and Dettie Russell Cassidy.
He graduated from California High School in 1951 and was an Air Force veteran.
He worked as a body and frame man in Ford garages in Moniteau County and neighboring counties until his retirement in 1987.
Survivors include one sister, Ladine Evans, Sedalia.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Roy Sparks will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today.

BUCHANAN
Leona Belle Hodel Buchanan, 89, St. Louis, died April 1, 2002, in St. Louis.
She was born Aug. 14, 1912, in Moniteau County, a daughter of Joseph C. and Mary Myrtle Gray Hodel. She was married May 28, 1941, in Olean, to John Anderson Buchanan, who died Sept. 3, 1961.
She was a lifelong resident of Moniteau and Miller counties and lived on the family farm for more than 40 years. She graduated from Olean High School and attended Central Missouri Teachers College.
She worked for California Pants Factory, the Eldon Shoe Factory and International Shoe Factory until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of Rock Enon Baptist Church, Enon Baptist Church, Mt. Herman Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Eldon.
She taught Sunday school, was church treasurer and served on various committees.
Survivors include: two daughters, Betty Beeman, Versailles, and Sharon Buchanan-McClure, Kirkwood; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.
One son, Fredrick Anderson Buchanan died in 1991.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon. The Rev. Randall Bunch and the Rev. Greg Morrow will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to Heartland Lions Eye Bank or Walnut Grove Burial Association.
GRIFFIN
Dorothea E. Griffin, 72, Lee's Summit, formerly of Jefferson City, died March 31, 2002, at Village Care Center.
She was born July 15, 1929, in Trenton, N.J. She was married in 1948 to Theodore Griffin, who preceded her in death.
She graduated from Creston Iowa High School. She lived in St. Joseph for 22 years. She moved to Jefferson City and worked for Missouri Broadcasters Association until her retirement in 1994.
Survivors include: one son, David Griffin, Plymouth, Wis.; two daughters, Deborah Pfander, Pacific Palisades, Calif., and Darcy Musgrave, Lee's Summit; and 11 grandchildren.
One son, Danny Griffin, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lee's Summit Community Church. Burial will be in Jefferson City.
Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.

HODGES
Services were March 11 for Terry M. Hodges, 58, Richardson, Texas , who died March 6, 2002, at his home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1943, in Versailles, a son of Sidney and Fern Hodges. He was married April 21, 1980, in Dallas, Texas , to Diane Hodges, who survives at the home.
He attended Versailles High School and was a Navy veteran. He worked as a painting contractor and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Other survivors include: one daughter, D'Ann Dublin; two sons, Craig Henwood, Raytown, and Doug Henwood, Fayetteville, Ark.; one brother, Lanny "Luke" Hodges, Jefferson City; one sister, Jo Brown, Gravois Mills; and one stepbrother, Gale Papen, Rolla.
One granddaughter preceded him in death.
Services were at Sparkman Funeral Home, Richardson. Burial with military honors and Masonic rites was in DFW National Cemetery.

LUDDEN
Diane K. Ludden, 43, Fulton, died March 31, 2002, at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
She was born June 11, 1958, in Denver, a daughter of Ralph and Mary Wright Sullivan, who survive in Fulton. She was married June 3, 1978, in Englewood, Colo., to the Rev. Robert Mark Ludden, who died May 20, 1996.
She had worked at Fulton State Hospital, and most recently at the Missouri School for the Deaf as a teacher's aide. A member of First Baptist Church of Fulton, she worked with the Awanas program at the church and led Bible study at her home.
Other survivors include: two sons, James Michael "Jim" Ludden, Bolivar, and Anthony Robert "Tony" Ludden, Fulton; one daughter, Judy Diane Ludden, Fulton; two sisters, Nancy Writebol, Quito, Ecuador, and Barbara Lord, Las Vegas.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Steven Sowder will officiate. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Calwood.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.
