DICK
Raymond Charles Dick, 86, Tipton, died April 14, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born Nov. 21, 1916, in Tipton, a son of William A. and Lillian Newkirk Dick. He was married Aug. 12, 1943, in Kansas City, to Erma Louise Moser Jennison, who died Feb. 26, 2002.
He was a farmer, stockman, and carpenter. He owned and operated the Twin Pine Motel, Tipton. He built the original hotel and many houses in Tipton. He lived in Tucson, Ariz., from 1986 to 1997. He was a member of the Community Baptist Church, Tipton.
Survivors include: three stepsons, Jerry Jennison, Columbia, James Jennison, Lee's Summit, and Dean Jennison, Modesto, Calif.; one daughter, Mary Ann Mohesky, Overland Park, Kan.; one brother, Roy Dick, Tipton; four sisters, Arlene Hofstetter, Betty Koerkenmeier, Mary Lou York, and Peggy Combs, all of Tipton; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Tipton Community Baptist Church. The Rev. Randy Deville will officiate. Burial will be in Moreau Cemetery, Tipton.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton.
Memorials are suggested to Missouri River Hospice or Community Baptist Church.
WORKMAN
Rose Ellen "Rosella" Workman, 80, Fulton, died April 14, 2002, in Jefferson City.
She was born March 2, 1922, in Reform, a daughter of Charles H. and Mary Ruth Masek McDonald. She was married Aug. 26, 1943, in Topeka, Kan., to Buford Elton Workman, who died April 16, 1985.
She was a member of First Assembly of God Church and was church secretary. She also worked as a seamstress at Fulton State Hospital, retiring after 28 years. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include: one son, Lloyd Workman, Fulton; three daughters, Ruth Ann Harper and Lynda McCormack, both of Columbia, and Brenda Curtit, Jefferson City; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
One infant daughter, Lois Jean Workman, and one grandchild, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Mike Haldeman will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton.
Memorials are suggested to First Assembly of God Church, Fulton.
WOOD
Mary Kathryn Wood, 74, Eldon, died April 15, 2002, in Osage Beach.
She was born Sept. 29, 1927, in Kansas City, Kan., a daughter of William E. and Osie Pearl Carter Bruce. She was married Jan. 15, 1946, in Olathe, Kan., to Raymond Harold Wood, who survives at the home.
She graduated from Argentine High School in Kansas City. She worked as a bookkeeper for Missouri Home Care. She was a member of Bagnell Baptist Church where she played the piano. She volunteered as an election judge for several years and was a member of the Mended Hearts Support Group, Lake Ozark.
Other survivors include: one son, Alvin Russell Wood, Cassville; three daughters, Clarice Everhart, Eldon, Naomi Wacaser, Kansas City, Kan., and Alice Carey, Springfield; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Ray Powell will officiate. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.

MORAN
Services were today for Pauline C. Moran, 91, Eldon, who died April 14, 2002, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
She was born Sept. 22, 1910, in Flat River, a daughter of Finis and Verda Louise Brooks Clay.
She worked as a clerk for the federal court system in St. Louis. She was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church, Lake Ozark, and t he Ladies Democrat Party.
Survivors include: one son, Ed Goza, Eldon; two brothers, Glen Clay, St. Louis, and Vernon Clay, Middle Town, Calif.; four sisters, Marie Dean, Mesa, Ariz., Irma Kellinger, St. Louis, Jean Breedlove, Port Smith, Va., and Janet Mobley, Camdenton; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were in Cross Road Cemetery, Leasburg. The Rev. Ron Lehenbauer officiated.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
FOUNTIAN
Millard "Ed" Fountian, 65, Linn Creek, died April 14, 2002, at his home.
Arrangements are incomplete at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
KESTER
Orlyn R. Kester, 90, Jefferson City, died April 15, 2002, at Oak View Living Center.
She was born Feb. 29, 1912, in Fulton, a daughter of Jack and Lute Harrison Kester.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, she attended Jefferson City public schools. She worked for Oberman Manufacturing Company for many years and then with Missouri Department of Revenue for 20 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Retired Missouri State Employees Association and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Survivors include one brother, Robert O. Kester Sr., St. Louis.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Robert O. Kester Jr. will officiate. Private graveside services will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:30-2 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to Oak View Living Center.
COX
Sherry Ann Cox, 56, Olathe, Kan., died April 15, 2002, at Life Care Center of Grandview.
She was born April 25, 1945, in Olathe, a daughter of Eugene W. and Winona Newcomb Damon. Her mother survives in Overland Park, Kan.
Other survivors include: one son, Travis Cox, Olathe, Kan.; one daughter, Angela Distler, Jefferson City; one sister, Nona Chaffin, Dodge City, Kan.; and three grandsons.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at W.L. Frye & Son Funeral Home, Olathe. Burial will be in Olathe Memorial Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
JOHNS
Michael Seth Johns, 39, Williamsburg, died April 15, 2002, at his home.
He was born Dec. 18, 1962, in Fulton, a son of Theodore G. and Althea Woolsey Johns.
He worked as a mechanical assembly worker retro fitting wheel chairs. He was president of the Garden Tractor Pullers of Mid-Mo.
Survivors include: one daughter, Codee Renee Johns, Centralia; two sisters, Julie Young, Tulsa, Okla., and Jan Young, Steedman.
Graveside services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday in Williamsburg Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home, Fulton.
SCHATZ
Lou Ella Schatz, 59, Fulton, died April 16, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Jan. 19, 1943, near Rockville, Ind., a daughter of Archie E. and Marie Kiger Purcell.
Survivors include: two sons, Edward Allen Scroggins, Fountain, Colo., and Arthur A. Scroggins, Eldon; four daughters, Betty Lou Cantwell, Eldon, Darlene L. Meador, Versailles, George Anna Cooper, Lincoln, Neb., and Wantha LeAnn Nelson, Fulton; five brothers, George Purcell and Walter Purcell, both of the state of Kansas, Garold Purcell, state of Indiana, Archie Junior Purcell, state of Oklahoma, and John Purcell, state of Alabama; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The remains were cremated . No services are planned.
Arrangements were under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
SMITH
Dorothy Olivia Smith, 87, Jefferson City, died April 16, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born March 6, 1915, in Wainright, a daughter of William J. and Martha Ann Bush Reynolds. She was married Dec. 5, 1937, in Jefferson City, to E' Thelbert Smith, who died Dec. 10, 1988.
She was a homemaker and a member of Second Baptist Church. She was a member of the Women's Missionary Group, Heroines of Jericho, and Jefferson City Chapter Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include: four sons, William R. Smith, Columbia, and Thelbert C. Smith, Melvin R. Smith, and Howard F. Smith, all of Jefferson City; two daughters, Betty M. Littlejohn, Kansas City, and Olivia A. Smith, Grandview; one sister, Helen Logan, Jefferson City; nine grandchildren; and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church. The Rev. Cornell C. Sudduth Sr., will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
