NICHOLS
Ruth K. Nichols, 81, Columbia, died April 18, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
She was born Jan. 30, 1921, in Ashland, a daughter of Lawrence and Mable Nichols Bennett. She was married Oct. 11, 1941, in Columbia, to Rothie Nichols, who survives.
She worked as a bookkeeper at the University of Missouri-Columbia until her retirement. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge in Columbia.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert Nichols and Gary Nichols, both of Columbia; two brothers, Claude Bennett, Brazito, and Jimmy Bennett, Ashland; two sisters, Opal Nichols, and Shirley Schmitz, both of Jefferson City; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. Wallace Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery, Ashland.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Saturday.

DANLEY
Bessie M. Danley, 93, California, died April 19, 2002, at California Care Center, California.
She was born April 24, 1908, in Lucedale, Miss., a daughter of Milton and Ola Lee Davis Sellers. She was married in 1924, in Greenville, Miss., to Horace P. Tims, who died Aug. 8, 1945. She was married in 1949, in Mississippi, to Lawrence Danley, who died in 1990.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one son, Melvin C. Tims, Reno, Nev; four daughters, Ethel Bolin, California, Nettie Stice, California, Martha Liston, Round Lake, N.Y., and Shirley Woodard, state of Florida; 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
One son, Robert Tims, one infant son and two daughters, Dorothy Mae Tims and Myrtle M. Hise, preceded her in death.
Services will be Wednesday at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile, Ala. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery, Mobile.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. today at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.

WADE
Kenneth Mitchell Wade, 61, Fulton, died April 17, 2002, at his home.
He was born Aug. 30, 1940, in Auburn, Neb., a son of Glenn R. and Dorothy C. Mitchell Wade. His mother survives in Columbia.
He was an iron worker and a member of International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Local 396.
Survivors include: two sons, Russell Gentry, Kansas City, and Kevin Charles Wade, St. Petersburg, Fla.; three daughters, Kathryn Wade, Higbee, Karen Motsinger, Olathe, Kan., and Kristin Michelle Wade, St. Petersburg; two brothers, James Wade, Columbia, and Robert Wade, Arizona; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Monday.
CRABTREE
Cleo G. Crabtree, 86, Sunrise Beach, died April 17, 2002, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.
He was born March 18, 1916, in Linn Creek, a son of Ira Sr. and Jodie Hibdon Crabtree. He was married Sept. 3, 1994, to Shirley J. Purl, who survives at the home.
He retired from Nooter Corporation with over 40 years of service. He assisted in the construction of the Hurricane Deck Bridge. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: three sons, Cleo G. Crabtree Jr., Lebanon, Mark W. Crabtree, Mexico City, Mexico, and Matthew G. Crabtree, Oceanside, Calif.; three daughters, Peggy Moore, Lebanon, Donna L. Daugherty, Goreville, Ill., and Cheryl L. Crabtree, St. Louis; two sisters, Maxine Bartley, Sunrise Beach, and Eva Uptergrove, Westaco, Texas ; three stepdaughters; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
One son, Ronald G. Crabtree, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Laurie. The Rev. Nick Stutesman will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Rock Dale Cemetery near Sunrise Beach.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday.
Memorials are suggested to the Rock Dale Cemetery.
ASH
Viola M. Ash, 90, Brumley, died April 20, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Care Center, St. Elizabeth.
She was born Oct. 11, 1911, in Brumley, a daughter of D.D. and Mary Adaline Davenport Thornton. She was married in 1929, in Pacific, to Elmer Thomas Ash, who died Feb. 5, 1995.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: seven sons, Elmer Ash Jr. and Richard Ash, both of Michigan, Lonnie Ash, Edward Ash and Winfred Ash, both of Arkansas, Merel Ash, Brumley, and Wendell Ash, Iberia; two daughters, Mary Cripe and Debra Newman, both of Michigan; one brother, Roland Thornton, Poplar Bluff; 33 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Frank Senters and the Rev. Curtis Ash will officiate. Burial will be in Robinett Cemetery, near Brumley.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
BURNETT
Angela Phyllis Rose Burnett, infant daughter of Michelle Renee Burnett and Troy Wayne Edgar, died April 20, 2002, at her home. She was born Jan. 16, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center. Her mother, Michelle Renee Burnett, and her father and stepmother, Troy Wayne and Tracey Edgar, all survive in Versailles.
Other survivors include: maternal grandparents, Wanda Burnett, Caro, Mich., and John Burnett, Stover; paternal grandparents, Earl Edgar, Barnett, and Phyllis Chadwick, Versailles; and great-grandparents, Harold and Mary Jordan and Sam Burnett, all of Stover, and Marie Chadwick, Versailles.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Wilford Whittle will officiate. Burial will be in Channey Chapel Cemetery, near Stover.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday.

DAY
Ruth Ann Day, 87, Russellville, died April 18, 2002, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born Feb. 5, 1915, in Sallisaw, Okla., a daughter of William and Iva Jane Mullin Vann. She was married April 25, 1948, in Wilson, Ark., to Louis T. Day, who survives at the home.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Russellville; the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 2693, Jefferson City; the Moose Lodge Auxiliary, Chapter 76, Caseyville, Ill.; and Amvets Auxiliary Post No. 108, Rocky Mount.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Jean Stallings, Leavenworth, Kan.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Eagles Auxiliary services will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Russellville. Services will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the church. Sister Donna Eggering O.S.F. will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Sallisaw City Cemetery, Sallisaw.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at the church.

FISCHER
Helen Amanda Fischer, 81, Hermann, died April 18, 2002, at Columbia Regional Hospital, Columbia.
She was born July 31, 1920, in Gasconade, a daughter of August and Zilla Davis Schollmeyer. She was married Aug. 30, 1941, in Hermann, to Rudolph Fischer, who survives in Hermann.
She worked at International Shoe and Florsheim Shoe Company, both in Hermann. She attended Salem-Hope Presbyterian Church, Hope. She was a member of the Hope Community Club.
Other survivors include: one son, Terry Fischer, Carrollton, Texas ; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann. The Rev. Joe Trower will officiate. Burial will be in Hermann Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to Salem Hope Presbyterian Church.
HIRSHBERG
Emma Ann Hirshberg, 90, St. Thomas, died April 19, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Care Center, St. Elizabeth.
She was born Jan. 12, 1919, in St. Thomas, a daughter of Henry and Anna Sommer Schulte. She was married Oct. 6, 1941, in St. Louis, to Harry Hirshberg, who died May 16, 1971.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and the St. Thomas Over 50 Club.
Survivors include, one brother, Herman Schulte, Meta; and one sister, Margaret Bax, Jefferson City.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. The Rev. Don Antweiler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at St. Thomas Knights of Columbus Hall, with a wake service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
