FRYE
Private family services were today for Linda Frye, 55, Jefferson City, who died April 30, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born July 3, 1946, in LaFollette, Tenn., a daughter of John F. and Jeanette Smith. She was married Aug. 22, 1969, in New Castle, Del., to Kenneth L. Frye, who survives at the home.
She graduated from Christiana High School in Newark, Del. She graduated from Thompson's Business School in Wilmington, Del., with a degree in accounting. She worked for Ellis Fischel Cancer Center in Columbia and other Central Missouri medical businesses as an accounting clerk. She was active in creative writing groups in Central Missouri and was a member of the Missouri Writers Guild in Columbia, where she held various offices.
Other survivors include one son, William Frye, Jefferson City, and one grandchild.
Burial was in Riverview Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
HILDENBRAND
Roberta C. Hildenbrand, 71, Eldon, died April 30, 2002, in Eldon.
She was born April 11, 1931, in Chillicothe, a daughter of Elmer Sr. and Stella May Webb Waltz. She was married Jan. 25, 1946, in Kansas City, Kan., to Ralph Robert Hildenbrand, who died May 17, 1977.
She was a homemaker and a member of Old Time Gospel Church in Eldon.
Survivors include: three sons, Raymond Hildenbrand, state of California, John Hildenbrand, St. Louis, and Robert Hildenbrand, Diamond City, Ark.; five daughters, Rita Hildenbrand, Brenda Vernon, Rose Hildenbrand, Irene Dane, and Candy Floyd, all of Eldon; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Old Time Gospel Church. Lloyd Wood will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.
Memorials are suggested to Old Time Gospel Church.
BROOKS
Everett N. Brooks, 77, Macks Creek, died April 30, 2002, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born April 1, 1925, in Arlington, Iowa, a son of Nelson L. and Lila Crofoot Brooks.
He worked as a supervisor for Chevron and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: six sisters, Pollyanna Aaron, Macks Creek, Beatrice Dannan, Roach, Evelyn Metcalf and Erma Glancman, both of Pittsburg, Calif., Addie Hill, Des Moines, Iowa, and Buena Messer, Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
Services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
BENNETT
Delbert L. Bennett, 58, Raytown, died May 1, 2002.
He was born Aug. 20, 1943, in Moniteau County, a son of Lemoyne and Myrtle Bennett. He was married to Judith Bennett, who survives at the home.
He worked for AGCO Inc. until his retirement. He was a member of Westridge Christian Church in Raytown.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Raymond Bennett and Robert Bennett, both of Raytown; one sister, Thelma Kidwell, Barnett.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
MATTERN
Paul Mattern, 77, Holts Summit, died May 2, 2002, at Missouri Veterans Home, St. James.
He was born Nov. 26, 1924, in Jefferson City, a son of Frank A. and Elizabeth Wheeler Hargis Mattern. He was married Feb. 6, 1946, in San Jose, Calif., to Rena Adair Thompson, who survives at the home.
He worked for the United States Postal Service in Jefferson City for 20 years, retiring in 1977. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the New Bloomfield Christian Church and the New Bloomfield Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include: two sons, Barry Mattern and Tim Mattern, both of New Bloomfield; four daughters, Jolene Woods and Paula Southerlin, both of New Bloomfield, Theda Burgess, Centertown, and Tina Kelsey, Eldon; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be Sunday in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Roger Obermeier will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit.
PRITCHETT
George Pritchett, 68, Steedman, died May 1, 2002, in Callaway County.
He was born June 29, 1933, a son of George M. and Geneva Pritchett. He was married Dec. 18, 1954, in St. Louis, to Illadean Frances Jerald, who died April 16, 1997.
He worked for Ameren UE as a foreman for 20 years, retiring in 1993. He moved to this area in 1980 from St. Louis. For the last two years, he worked at Callaway Bank. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and received the Purple Heart.
Survivors include: two sons, Mike Pritchett, Janesville, Wis., and Ken Pritchett, Fulton; two daughters, Sherry Ridings, Arnold, and JoAnn Pritchett, St. Louis; one brother, Bill Pritchett, Arnold; one sister, Marge Williams, Ramsey, Ill.; six grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Ron Baker will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Fulton.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.
SCHROEDER
Heinrich F. "Henry" Schroeder, 98, Meta, died May 2, 2002, at Westphalia Retirement Center.
He was born April 17, 1904, in Babbtown, a son of Heinrich and Henriette Auftengarten Schroeder.
He was a farmer.
Survivors include cousins.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Rekus Funeral Home, Meta. The Rev. Gerald Scheperle will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Babbtown.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church.
ARNEL
Emmit R. Arnel, 66, Moberly, died April 28, 2002, in Moberly.
Arrangements are pending at Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon.
KUEFFER
Thomas J. "Tom" Kueffer, 45, California, died April 29, 2002, at his home.
He was born July 26, 1956, in California, a son of Ray and Beatrice Hodges Kueffer. He was married Oct. 14, 2001, to Pamela J. Shewmaker, who survives at the home.
A 1974 graduate of California High School, he attended Central Methodist College. He attended Bibleway Church in Eldon and was a former member of UKC. He was a heavy equipment operator.
Other survivors include: two sons, John Kueffer, Eldon, and Jason Kueffer, Tipton; one brother, Steven Kueffer, Baldwin City, Kan.; three sisters, Mary Young, Odessa, Kim Ashley, High Point, and Jennifer McCord, California; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services. The Rev. Roy Sparks will officiate. Burial will be in Evangelical Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.

TATE
Marvin L. "Bud" Tate, 75, Kansas City, died April 30, 2002, at St. Joseph Health Care, Kansas City.

Mack Teegarden, 54, Eldon, died May 2, 2002.

FIELDS
Kenny Joe Fields, 50, Barnett, died May 3, 2002, at the Roy E. Otten Memorial Airport in Versailles.
He was born March 15, 1952, in Boonville, a son of Kenneth E. and Joann Elois Wilborn Fields. His father survives in Barnett.
He was a 1970 graduate of Morgan County R-2 High School in Versailles. He worked at Central States Refining Company Inc., in Versailles. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Versailles and the Jackson Artillery.
Other survivors include: his fiancee, Pamela Klein Williams, Versailles; one son, Lonnie Fields, Barnett; one daughter, Jodi Marie Fields, Versailles; one brother, Steven Fields, Versailles; one sister, Vickie Fields, Barnett; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Todd Forman will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday.
