KIRKWEG
Cornie H. Kirkweg, 76, St. Elizabeth, died May 9, 2002, at his home.
He was born Nov. 25, 1925, in Meta, a son of William J. and Mary Borgmeyer Kirkweg. He was married Sept. 4, 1954, in St. Anthony, to Geraldine Goeller, who survives at the home.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth. He farmed and worked for Patio Chef in Meta and Langenberg Hat Factory in St. Elizabeth.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Connie Kreutz, Holts Summit, Sharon Helton, St. Elizabeth, and Donna Mueller, Meta; his stepmother, Rose Kirkweg, Jefferson City; two brothers, Clarence Kirkweg, Jefferson City, and Alfred Kirkweg, Centertown; six sisters, Eleanor Edwards, Alvera Holliday and Dolores Bax, all of Jefferson City, Rosalie Hentges, California, Rita Braun, Centertown, and Delphine Toebben, Taos; and six grandchildren.
One infant daughter, Karen Kirkweg, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The Rev. Brian Driscoll will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Community Center, with a senior citizens rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Masses.

LUTZ
Robert Anthony "Bob" Lutz, 50, Tipton, died May 8, 2002, at his home.
He was born Jan. 16, 1952, in Tipton, a son of Herman and Mildred Fry Lutz. He was married Feb. 23, 1985, in Tipton, to Jackie Arnold, who survives at the home.
He was a 1970 graduate of Tipton High School. He farmed for several years and later managed Prestage Quarries in Laurie.
He also worked at Gates Company in Versailles.
He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Tipton.
Other survivors include: four sons, A.J. Lutz, Jefferson City, and Andrew Lutz, Shawn McDonald and Eli McDonald, all of Tipton; four brothers, Mitchell Lutz, Maurice Lutz, David Lutz and Glen Lutz, all of Tipton; two sisters, Mary Ellen Cotriss, Tipton, and Margaret Lawson, California.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Tipton. The Rev. Tom Siefner will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the church, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Andrew's School or the American Cancer Society.

LIVELY
Clarence "Eddie" Lively, 71, Linn, died May 9, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born July 13, 1930, in Crocker, a son of Clyde and Edith E. Walters Brown. He was married to Lola Kay Vance, who survives in Linn.
He was an Army veteran and member of the VFW in Crocker.
Survivors include: one son, David Lively, North Carolina; one daughter, Dianna Jewell, North Carolina; one stepson, Keith Stevenson, St. Louis; three stepdaughters, Lauri Umfleet, Columbia, Karen Stevenson Bass, St. Louis, and Rachel Stevenson, Linn; one brother, Benny Brown, Crocker; one sister, Gladys Zweerink, Springfield; and four grandchildren.
One son, Darrell Lively, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Long Funeral Home in Crocker. Burial will be in Crocker Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday and from noon-1 p.m. Monday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
NEELY
Raymond S. Neely, 75, New Bloomfield, died May 10, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

McNAY
John Lewis "Jack" McNay, 61, Jamestown, died May 9, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.

CALLISON
Joe Anthony Callison, 36, Jefferson City, died May 9, 2002, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.

ROWE
James Edward Rowe, 42, Gravois Mills, died May 10, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 13, 1959, in Kansas City, a son of Thomas and Judy Buchanan Rowe. His mother and stepfather, Charles Edwards, survive in Gravois Mills. His stepmother, Cheryl Rowe, survives in Kansas.
He was married Jan. 15, 2000, to Pamela Bratton, who survives of the home.
He graduated from Ruskin High School in 1979 and retired from Johnson Controls, Lenexa, Kan., after 18 years. He managed the meat department at the Gravois Supermarket, Gravois Mills.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Angel Verdick, Oak Grove, and Brandy Wilson, Kansas City; three brothers, Thomas Rowe, Robert Rowe, Kansas City, and Daniel Rowe, Orrick; a sister, Peggy Jewell, Gravois Mills; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Dale Robert Brouster.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Gravois Mills United Methodist Church, Gravois Mills. The Rev. Sidney Robbins will officiate.
Burial will be in the Holst Cemetery, near Gravois Mills.
Memorials are suggested to the Special Olympics or the Gravois Mills United Methodist Church.
HAYTH
Irene Martha Hayth, 87, Albuquerque, N.M., died May 10, 2002.
She was born April 1, 1915, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Edward and Emma Pfeffer Ihler. She was married to Harvey Hayth, who survives.
She lived in El Paso, Texas for 38 years before moving to Albuquerque four years ago.
Other survivors include: one son, Mickey Hayth, Reno, Nev.; one daughter, Harriet Garcia, Albuquerque; one brother, Violor Ihler, Jefferson City; one sister, Clara Schreiffer, Jefferson City; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Albuquerque. The Rev. Anthony Bolman will officiate. The remains were cremated.
Rosary will be recited today at 7 p.m. at French Mortuary in Albuquerque.
HUDSON
Nancy A. Hudson, 72, Jefferson City, died May 13, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Jan. 7, 1930, in Fort Scott, Kan., a daughter of Hughey B. and Mable Rebecca Goe Hudson.
A 1948 graduate of Jefferson City High School, she attended Jefferson City Junior College, the University of Kansas City, University of Missouri-Columbia, and New York University School of Radiology. She worked for the Missouri Department of Health Bureau of Emergency Medical Services from 1976 until her retirement in 1991 as an EMS program specialist. She worked as an X-ray technician at Charles E. Still Hospital and she worked for the National Council of Churches in New York. She did summer and winter stock theater in New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia. She was a customer service advisor for Capital City Telephone Company and was dial administrator for United Telephone Company. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She was a member of Zonta International, Council on the Arts, the Little Theatre, Community Concert Association, and Gamma Alpha Chi Honorary Sorority.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church. The Rev. Lawrence W. Veatch will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Jefferson City Animal Rescue.
Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
BELL
George B. Bell, 83, New Bloomfield, died May 13, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

CHURCHFIELD
Judy Churchfield, 60, Eldon, died May 8, 2002, in Eldon.
She was born April 23, 1942, in San Jose, Calif., a daughter of Richard and Dorothy Zorn Rogers. She was married Oct. 1, 1977, in Carson City, Nev., to Lysle P. Churchfield, who survives in Eldon.
She managed a health food store and attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Eldon.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ron Hale, Lower Lake, Calif.; and Richard Hale, San Bernardino, Calif.; one daughter, Kim Salinias, San Jose; one brother, Martin Rogers, state of Massachusetts; two sisters, Francis Toll, Redding, Calif., and Rita Langford, Red Bluff, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Eldon. Steve Truitt will officiate.
