LYNN
Elsie Lucille Lynn, 77, Kaiser, died June 16, 1999, at her home.
She was born
May 10, 1922, in Mexico, a daughter of John and Garnett Opal Jeffries Beales. She was married
in 1958 in Kansas City to Robert Lee Lynn, who died June 11, 1964.
She was a waitress at Sanderson's Restaurant in Kansas City for 10 years. She was active with Unity Church.
Survivors include: five sons, Robert Huffstutter, North Kansas City, Charlie Prichard, Denver, Diamond Danny Prichard, Kansas City, Ed Rich, Centerville, Iowa, and Kenny Prichard, Buckner; three daughters, Linn Eairheart, Naples, Fla., Sandra Lynn, Kaiser, and Susan Cayo, Escondido, Calif; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three husbands and one grandchild.
She was cremated. No services are planned.
Arrangements were under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.
McMILLIN
William R. "Bill" McMillin, 48, Holts Summit, died June 17, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
He was born
Nov. 2, 1950, in Jefferson City, a son of R. Earl and Melva LeCure McMillin, who survive in Jefferson City. He was married
Oct. 11, 1969, in Jefferson City, to Carolyn Stieferman Schramm, who survives. He was married
Aug. 10, 1984, in Miami, Okla., to Katie Reinkemeyer, who survives at the home.
A 1968 graduate of Jefferson City High School, he was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Missouri National Guard. He worked for Sprint Telephone Company as a cable splicer for 27 years. He was a member of IBEW Local 2.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Jennifer Penserum, Columbia, Jennifer Alexander, Iberia, and Stacia McMillin, of the home; four brothers, Mike McMillin and Steve McMillin, both of Jefferson City, David McMillin, Texarkana, Ark., and Bruce McMillin, Columbia; and three sisters, Debby Blackwell, Olean, Paula McMillin, Rolla, and Beth Stone, Russellville.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Rev. Donald Lammers will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, the Stacia McMillin College Scholarship Fund in care of Central Trust Bank or to a charity of the donor's choice.
PARKER
Bronson Cooper Parker Jr., 71, Camdenton, died June 16, 1999, at his home.
He was born
April 20, 1928, in St. Louis, a son of Bronson C. Sr. and Margaret Rachow Parker. His mother, Margaret Ruble, survives in Camdenton. He was married
April 23, 1971, in Versailles, to Brooks Aline "Toots" Rush, who died Sept. 20, 1996.
A homebuilder, he lived in the Lake area since 1951. He was a Baptist. An Army veteran of World War II and a Marine veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the VFW..
Other survivors include: four sons, Adam Parker Cook, Glen Parker, St. Peters, Mike Parker, Orlando, Fla., and John B. Long, Jefferson City; five daughters, Vicki McGuire, Anita Schlenfort and Donna McGuire, all of Linn Creek, Amber Parker Cook, and Kathy Nimmo, Camdenton; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Two stepsons preceded him in death.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be at 3:30 p.m. today in Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery, Camdenton. The Rev. Paul Burns will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton.
SCHROEDER
Denis P. Schroeder, 85, Linn, died June 17, 1999, at Green Meadows Health Care Center, Linn.
He was born
Oct. 11, 1913, in Linn, a son of Henry and Regina Orscheln Schroeder. He was married
May 2, 1938, in Frankenstein, to Rose Koenigsfeld, who died Oct. 7, 1978. He was married
Feb. 21, 1987, in Linn, to Geraldine Bowlin, who survives at the home.
He was a farmer. In 1959 he founded Speedwash Laundromats, which he owned and operated in Linn, Owensville, California and Jefferson City. He owned the Blue Goose in Linn from 1953 to 1959.
He was a member of St. George Church, Linn, Knights of Columbus and the Western-Catholic Union.
Other survivors include: one son, Frank H. Schroeder, Jefferson City; four daughters, Sister Judith Schroeder, SSND, Fort Leonard Wood, Mary Jo Hueste, Linn, Lois Schroeder, Jefferson City, and Ruth M. Brown, Denver; one stepson, Gene Paxson, Jefferson City; two stepdaughters, Marjorie Medlen, Topeka, Kan., and Betty Martin, Jefferson City; two sisters, Elizabeth Wadick, Stover, and Rita McCormick, Jefferson City; one grandson, four step grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and one step great-grandson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. George Church, Linn. The Rev. Paul Hartley will officiate. Burial will be in St. George Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the St. George Educational Fund.
WILSON
Robert Lynn Wilson, 70, Sunrise Beach, died June 16, 1999, at his home.
He was born
Nov. 27, 1928, in East St. Louis, Ill., a son of William J. and Maxine Taylor Wilson. He was married
Sept. 3, 1950, to Vera A. Linn, who survives at the home.
A former St. Louis resident, he was manager of engineering at KSDK Channel 5, St. Louis. He was a member of Local 4 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the American Legion, Collinsville, Ill.
Other survivors include: one son, Jeffery Lynn Wilson, St. Louis; two daughters, Cheryl Kaye Renner, O'Fallon, Ill., and Debra Ann Wilson, Waterloo, Ill.; one brother, James Wilson, Osage Beach; one sister, Billie June Reed, Santa Ynez, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kutis Funeral Home, St. Louis. Burial will be Monday in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Kutis Funeral Home.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
SCHWARTZ
Elizabeth Schwartz, 101, St. Charles, formerly of Vienna, died June 17, 1999, at Clay West Care Center, St. Charles.
She was born
Jan. 26, 1898, at St. Elizabeth, a daughter of John and Theresa Massman Volmert. She was married
Dec. 27, 1917, in Vienna, to John Schwartz, who died July 10, 1951.
She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Bel-Ridge, the ladies sodality of the church, and was a member of the Ladies Garment Workers Union 78, St. Louis. She was a garment company worker for 20 years, retiring in 1968.
Survivors include: one son, Edwin Schwartz, Bellefontaine Neighbors; two daughters, Virginia Grunwald, Woodland, Calif., and Imogene Dyn, St. Charles; one sister, Rose Stratman; 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Lawrence Schwartz, Cornelius Schwartz and an infant son; and by three daughters, Beatrice Schwartz, Marcella Schwartz and an infant daughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna. The Rev. Mike Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in Visitation Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be from 8:30-9:30 a.m.Monday at the funeral home.
Masses are preferred by the family.
BEARD
Evelyn J. Beard, 79, Jefferson City, died June 19, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
She was born
March 30, 1920, in Eldon, Iowa, a daughter of Curran B. and Dora V. Bates Armstrong. She was married
March 6, 1967, in Dundas, Minn., to Raymond R. Beard, who survives at the home.
She was a graduate of Washburn High School and attended Minnesota Business College, both in Minneapolis. She was employed as a licensed practical nurse at Deaconess Hospital, Minneapolis, for several years.
A resident of the Jefferson City area for the past 10 years, she was a nurse's aide at Heisinger Lutheran Retirement Home and Oak Tree Villa Retirement Center. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Other survivors include: three sons, Norman H. Hennan, Billings, Mont., David M. Hennan, Elk River, Minn., and James R. Hennan, Farmington, Minn.; one daughter, Patricia C. Vasquez, Covina, Calif.; two stepsons, Robert J. Beard, Minneapolis, and Larry E. Beard, Oklahoma City; one stepdaughter, Vicky L. Ransford, Greenfield; eight grandchildren, five step grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Private graveside services will be held in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
DeDECKER
Clarence J. DeDecker, 91, Gravois Mills, died June 4, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born
Feb. 15, 1908, in Victor, Iowa, a son of Peter and Pauline Elericky DeDecker. He was married
Jan. 6, 1936, to Georgia Gayle Hannah, who died Jan. 27, 1982.
He worked for the Chicago-Northwestern Railroad as an over-the-road truck driver. He formerly owned Dee's Service Station in Kansas City. The DeDeckers moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1950, and owned Crown Point Resort for 25 years.
He was a member of Ozark Baptist Church, Laurie.
Survivors include: one foster son, Raymond H. Frederick, Kansas City; and one sister, Grace Dusterhoft, Amana, Iowa.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
Inurnment will be in Garber Memorial Estates Cemetery, Laurie.
DUNSTAN
Elizabeth "Beth" Dunstan, 77, Eldon, died June 19, 1999, at her home.
She was born
Feb. 22, 1922, in Kaiser, a daughter of John O. and Elsie Ritter Maher. She was married
Nov. 2, 1941, in Camdenton, to Emal "Duke" Dunstan, who died Oct. 14, 1993.
A lifetime resident of Central Missouri, she was a homemaker and a member of Barnett Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Jerrold Martin Dunstan and John William Dunstan, both of Eldon; three brothers, Jack Maher, Napa, Calif., and Bill Maher and James Maher, both of Sui Sun/Fairfield, Calif.; two sisters, Laura Alice Siebert, Topeka, Kan., and Ramona Taylor, Leawood, Kan.; and four grandchildren.
One son, David Ray Dunstan, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Gary Maher will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday.
