JORDAN
Mikell M. Jordan, infant son of Michael M. Jordan and Kimberly Bruner, Jefferson City, was stillborn May 25, 2002, St. Marys Health Center.
Other survivors include: two sisters, Mellanie N. Bruner and Meaira N. Jordan, both of Jefferson City; one brother, Michael M. Jordan, Jefferson City; maternal grandfather, Wallace Bruner, Haskell, Okla.; and paternal step grandfather, William Chatman, Muskogee, Okla.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Riverview Cemetery. The Rev. Ted Huston will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
SWYERS
Elisabeth Ann Swyers, 64, Dixon, died May 30, 2002, at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, Ft. Leonard Wood.
She was born Nov. 29, 1937, a daughter of Michael and Anna Huttner Baier. She was married Nov. 29, 1960, in Schweinfort, Germany, to Charles August Swyers, who survives in Dixon.
Other survivors include: two sons, Randy Swyers, Vienna, and Mike Swyers, Dixon; four daughters, Ursula Bell, Dixon, Silvia Groves, Waynesville, Barbara Bailey, Freeburg, and Christy Eichholz, Westphalia; one sister, Gertie Stella, Yakima, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Long-Gilbert Funeral Home, Dixon. The Rev. Rod Rodriquez will officiate. Burial will be in Vienna Public Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. today.
SHANKS
Grace K. Shanks, 71, Linn, died May 31, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
Arrangements are at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.
HARTWIG
Elizabeth E. "Bettie" Cox Hartwig, 94, Chamois, died May 31, 2002, at Green Meadows Skilled Care in Linn.
She was born April 24, 1908 in Useful, a daughter of Thomas J. and Julia Emma Rhodes Cox. She was married Dec. 26, 1933, in Jefferson City, to August "Gus" Hartwig, who died May 3, 1973.
She graduated from Bland and Hermann High schools and attended Central Missouri Teachers College in Warrensburg. She was a member of O.E.S. Golden Crown Chapter and a member of St. Peters and St. Johns United Church of Christ for 70 years. She was a homemaker and she also taught in the rural schools of Osage County.
Survivors include: one daughter, Esther E. Schaefer, Bonnots Mill; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John's United Church of Christ in Chamois. The Rev. Don Deeker and the Rev. Deborah Pope will officiate. Burial will be in Deer Creek Cemetery near Chamois.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today at the Morton Funeral Home in Chamois.
Memorials are suggested to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children or St. John's UCC Church.
BROYLES
Marcella M. "Marty" Broyles, 69, Gravois Mills, died May 31, 2002, at St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City.
She was born Jan. 19, 1933, in Prairie Home, a daughter of Robert Lacy and Lydia Emma Strickfadden Harris. She was married Feb. 27, 1954, to Gerald L. "Joe" Broyles, who died Feb. 12, 1996.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church in Laurie and a volunteer at West Side Senior Center in Laurie.
Survivors include: two sons, Bill Hickman and Steve Broyles, Sunrise Beach; three daughters, Carla Corbin, Kansas City, Roxanne Sanford, Olathe, Kan., and Patti Hochanadel, Overland Park, Kan.; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three step great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church in Laurie, with the Rev. James Lawley officiating. Burial will be in Garber Memorial Estates Cemetery in Laurie.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel in Laurie.
Memorials are suggested to the church.
BULLARD
Clara Elizabeth Brinegar Bullard, 89, Ashland, died May 31, 2002, at Ashland Healthcare.
She was born Sept. 11, 1912, in Boone County, a daughter of Ely and Josie Setton Brinegar. She was married Oct. 17, 1931, in Ashland, to Elton Ray Bullard, who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Ashland.
Survivors include: one son, John D. Bullard, Ashland; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Lewis Brinegar and James Edward Brinegar.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Robinson Funeral Home in Ashland. The Rev. Wallace Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the New Salem Cemetery in Ashland.
HOLT
Kathryn Keith Wilkerson Holt, 96, Guthrie, died June 1, 2002, at Capital Health Care Center in Jefferson City.
She was born Feb. 18, 1906, near Guthrie, the daughter of William and Eva Gibbs Wilkerson. She was married April 11, 1925, in Mexico to Irvin "Tots" Holt, who died in 1973.
She graduated from New Bloomfield High School and attended Central Missouri State College. She served as a teacher at Duley School near Guthrie. She worked at AAA in Fulton and for the Missouri State Division of Health for over 20 years. She worked at the Callaway County collector's office. She was a member of Dry Fork Baptist Church of Guthrie for over 80 years, where she was the chief clerk and served in other church offices. She was active in the Women's Missionary Society.
Survivors include: one son, Tom Holt, Jefferson City; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jack Holt.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dry Fork Baptist Church in Guthrie. The Rev. Jerry Anderson and the Rev. Don Anders will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit.
Memorials are suggested to the church or the church cemetery fund.
MALAN
Elsie A. Malan, 91, Linn, died May 31, 2002, at Green Meadows Skilled Care, Linn.
She was born Jan. 16, 1911, in Pershing, a daughter of Louis and Dora Whertwine Lange. She was married Nov. 8, 1955, in the state of Mississippi, to Bernis A. Malan, who survives at the home.
She was employed by Linn Manufacturing and Oberman's Garment Factory, Jefferson City.
Other survivors include: one stepbrother, Olin Ricks, St. Louis; and one sister, Goldie Hollandworth, Pershing.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn. The Rev. Tony Townley will officiate. Burial will be in Linn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday.

TEMMEN
Joseph Robert Temmen, 73, Topeka, Kan., died June 1, 2002, at a Topeka hospital.
He was born Feb. 7, 1929, a son of Clem B. and Katherine Bax Temmen. He was married Sept. 1, 1950, in Osage City, Kan., to Phyllis June Purvis, who died Feb. 4, 1993.
He worked for the Topeka Fire Department for 17 years. He owned Bob's Body Shop, Topeka, and he retired from Kaw Area Technical School where he taught auto repair.
He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Jerry Temmen and Michael Temmen, both of Topeka; one daughter, Sandy Sadler, Allen, Texas ; three sisters, Rose Rice, Bernice Chick and JoAnn Paden, all of Jefferson City; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be in Half-Day Cemetery, Elmont, Kan.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, Topeka, with a parish rosary at 6:30 p.m.

BUCKNER
John L. Buckner, 93, Ashland, died June 2, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born Dec. 24, 1908, in Englewood, Colo., a son of William J. and Lula Hicks Buckner. He was married Oct. 24, 1927, in Shawnee, Kan., to Zelma Case, who preceded him in death.
He was a carpenter, retiring in 1973. He worked for Ford Motor Company in Kansas City and was also a farmer for many years. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union in Kansas City for 50 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, Kan.
Survivors include: one son, John Lee Buckner, Ashland; two daughters, Martha Lou Nichols and Rosemary Lewis, both of Ashland; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. Marvine Tolle will officiate. Burial will be in Woodcrest Cemetery, Ashland.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today.
