KREMER
Elizabeth Kremer, 85, Frankenstein, died June 6, 2002, at her home.
She was born Jan. 19, 1917, in Osage County, a daughter of Pete and Anna Haslag Troesser. She was married Nov. 28, 1935, to Paul J. Kremer, who died March 2, 1986.
A lifelong area resident, she attended St. Mary's School, Frankenstein. She was a member of Our Lady of Help Catholic Church, Frankenstein, and St. Ann's Sodality. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: eight sons, Virgil Kremer and James Kremer, both of Frankenstein, Richard Kremer, Jacksonville, Fla., Luke Kremer, Loose Creek, Vincent Kremer and Joseph Kremer, both of Jefferson City, Gerald Kremer, Westphalia, and Patrick Kremer, Linn; six daughters, Anna Belle Brandt, Frankenstein, Bernadine Brandt and Paulette Peters, both of Linn, Mary Keilholz, Chamois, Margaret Salmons, New Bloomfield, and Dolores Boss, St. Martins; three sisters, Annie Dudenhoeffer, Clara Koenigsfield and Agnes Dudenhoeffer, all of Frankenstein; 49 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Therese Schmitz, and one grandchild preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Help Church, Frankenstein. The Rev. Fr. Daniel I.J. Lueckenotte will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery, Frankenstein.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
DOTHAGE
The Rev. Russell Oliver Dothage, 85, Jefferson City, died June 9, 2002, at Capital Healthcare Center.
He was born Feb. 25, 1917, in Warren County, a son of George F. and Lovie May Jones Dothage. He was married Aug. 12, 1949, in Hutchison, Kan., to Ida Belle Hager, who survives at the home.
He was a 1952 graduate of Kansas City College and Bible School. He was an ordained minister in the Church of God (Holiness) for over 50 years. In 1951 he helped establish a Sunday School in Rosedale, Kan., which later became Rosedale Church of God (Holiness), where he pastored for 13 years. In 1964 he was appointed to missionary work serving intermittently over an 11-year period on St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, and churches on Grand Cayman and Anguilla Islands. He also conducted a radio ministry, "The Holiness Hour," on station PJD2 on St. Kitts for nine years. He served pastorates in El Monte, Calif., Kirksville, Belton, Valley Chapel in Callao, and Jefferson City. He was a member of the Home Mission Board for many years and conducted numerous revivals throughout the United States.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Rosedale Church of God (Holiness) in Kansas City, Kan. The Rev. Leon George will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Additional visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
YOUNG
Jaunita Edith Young, 81, Versailles, died June 9, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
She was born May 28, 1921, in Morgan County, a daughter of Luther and Sarah E. Bradshaw Wood. She was married in September 1959 to James D. Young, who died July 20, 1993.
She was a cook at Pioneer Restaurant, Versailles, and retired from Gates Rubber Company, Versailles. She was a member of Family Worship Center, Versailles.
Survivors include: two sons, Dale Hansen, Haynes, Alaska, and Archie Hansen, Edgerton, Kan.; two daughters, Christene Greener, Lyndon, Kan., and Margaret Davidson, Versailles; one brother, Floyd D. Wood, state of Nevada; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Danny Owsley will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
BURKHART
Services were today for Ray W. "Ted" Burkhart, 84, Versailles, who died June 9, 2002, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.
He was born June 27, 1917, in Barnett, a son of Bertle and Dora Hayes Burkhart. He was married Oct. 23, 1940, to Edith F. Lees, who survives at the home.
He was a deacon and a member of the First Baptist Church, Versailles. An Army veteran of World War II, he retired from Carpenter-Guenther Lumber Company, Versailles.
Other survivors include: one son, Gary L. Burkhart, Holts Summit; one half sister, Lucille Silvey, Versailles; one stepsister, Norma Hayes, Versailles; one granddaughter; and two step great-grandchildren.
Services were at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial was in Versailles Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, Versailles.
HOLLIS
Betty Mary Hollis, 74, Bowling Green, formerly of Fulton, died June 10, 2002, at Country View Nursing Home, Bowling Green.
She was born Aug. 20, 1927, in Callaway County, a daughter of Warren and Loretta Rickner Hollis.
Private graveside services will be in Summit Memorial Park in Holts Summit.
Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home.
HOLTZEN
Lorena Louise Holtzen, 85, Stover, died June 10, 2002, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.
She was born Dec. 16, 1918, in Stover, a daughter of Charlie and Lena Priesmeyer Wessel. She was married May 26, 1939, near Stover, to Arnold J. Holtzen, who died Oct. 15, 1996.
A homemaker, she was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Versailles.
Survivors include one brother, Henry Wessel, Stover, and two sisters, Clara Dickey, Sedalia, and Cora Munsterman, Stover.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church. Pastor Erik Rottmann will officiate. Burial will be in Kipp Memorial Cemetery, Stover.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.
Memorials are suggested to Grace Lutheran Church.
HOWELL
John Howell Jr., 83, Osage Beach, died June 10, 2002, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born May 28, 1919, in Carmile, Ill., a son of John and Mabel McArthy Howell Sr. He was married Nov. 23, 1940, in Chicago, to Katherine Parrovechio, who survives at the home.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a retired tool and die maker for television tuners and juke boxes.
He attended the Walk on the Water Church, Osage Beach, and he was a member of Remote Control Airplanes Association, Eldon.
Other survivors include one daughter, Penny Reinecke, Osage Beach, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be at a later date. The remains were cremated.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
MAHAN
Juanita M. Mahan, 65, Jefferson City, died June 10, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born April 11, 1937, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Sherman E. and Jessie M. Blanton Todd. She was married June 13, 1953, in Cedar City, to Herbert F. Mahan, who survives at the home.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, she attended Jefferson City public schools.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: six sons, David Mahan, Roger Mahan, Ricky Mahan, Herbert G. Mahan, Billy Mahan and Randy Mahan, all of Jefferson City; five daughters, Connie Prelow, Kathy Buck, Kathie Weed, Christina Mahan and Lennie Mahan, all of Jefferson City; five sisters, Lisa Cloemons, Thressia Honeycutt, Vaunitta Matheney, Paulette Todd and Beverly Fisher, all of Jefferson City; four brothers, Kenneth Todd, Leon Todd, Ronnie Todd and Robert Todd, all of Jefferson City; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Doyle Sager will officiate. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Juanita Mahan Memorial Fund.

MAJOR
Lucille K. Major, 95, St. Louis, died June 9, 2002, at Cardinal Card Berry Senior Living Center, St. Louis.
She was born May 20, 1907, in Jefferson City, a daughter of William and Mary Schulte. She was married Sept. 7, 1927, to Harry C. Major, who died in 1992.
She attended St. Peter High School, Jefferson City.
She moved to Mexico in 1950 and lived there until moving to the St. Louis area in 1994.
Survivors include one son, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Marjorie Boeckmann, died in 1998.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Webster Groves. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Jefferson City.
