TURNER

Donna Turner, 70, Versailles, died June 10, 2002, at her home.

She was born May 5, 1932, in the state of Kansas, a daughter of James and Agnes Kelley Turner.

She worked at Good Shepherd Nursing Home and later at Quality Industries, both in Versailles. She was a member of Mt. Zion Christian Church in Tuscumbia.

She is survived by one brother, Jimmy Martin Turner, Tuscumbia.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Jim Kruse will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday.

DIETZEL

Wesley G. Dietzel, 79, Jamestown, died June 9, 2002, at his home.

He was born May 23, 1923, in Jamestown, a son of John W. and Rosa Lehmann Dietzel. He was married March 12, 1950, in Lupus, to Dorotha Cassil, who survives at the home.

A lifelong farmer, he was a truck driver and a DeKalb seed dealer. He attended Jamestown High School.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Jamestown, where he was a past chairman and member of the church board. He was a former member of the Jamestown C-1 School Board and a member and delegate of MFA Oil. He served as president and caretaker of Grace United Methodist Cemetery.

Other survivors include two sons, Mark W. Dietzel, Jamestown, and John A. Dietzel, Centertown, and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jerry Moon and the Rev. W.H. Winter will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.

Memorials are suggested to Grace United Methodist Church or Grace United Methodist Cemetery Fund, both c/o Betty George, P.O. Box 266, Jamestown, Mo. 65046.

LUECKE

Chadd Aron Luecke, 20,  Jefferson City, died June 10, 2002, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born Oct. 21, 1981, in  Jefferson City, a son of Jerry E. and Mitzi May Montgomery Luecke. His parents survive in Westphalia. He was married May 28, 2002, in Westphalia, to Jennifer Helming, who survives at the home.

He was a 2000 graduate of Fatima High School and served in the Marine Corps.

He worked as a roofer for Luecke's Roofing in Westphalia.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Babbtown, and the Central Missouri Detachment of the Marine Corps League, where he played Taps for the funeral honors program.

Other survivors include: three sisters, Joanie Luecke, Freeburg, Christy Luecke,  Jefferson City, and Breay Luecke, Westphalia; paternal grandparents, Ray and Lydia Luecke, Westphalia; maternal grandfather and step grandmother, Richard and Norma Montgomery, Park Hills; maternal grandmother and step grandfather, Sandra and Bob Corwin,  Jefferson City; and maternal step great-grandmother, Juanita Zorn, Steelville.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Schubert. The Rev. Gerald Scheperle will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Babbtown.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Hilke-Millard Funeral Home, Westphalia.

Memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church Building Fund in Schubert or Babbtown, Mo.; or the Shriner's Hospital, 2001 South Lindberg Blvd., St. Louis, Mo. 63131.

COCHRAN

Kenneth Brown Cochran, 85,  Jefferson City, died June 11, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born March 9, 1917, in Milan, a son of Glennie R. and Effie June Brown Cochran. He was married July 12, 1947, in Marceline, to Betty Joan Moore, who survives at the home.

He was a graduate of Milan High School and a 1939 graduate of Northeast Missouri State Teachers College. He taught biology at Novinger High School for two years and was a meteorologist with the United State Government Weather Service for 38 years, serving in St. Joseph, Lincoln, Neb., and St. Louis. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the  Jefferson City Optimist Club. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Susan K. DeHaven,  Jefferson City, and Sara C. Clarkson, Tipton, Ind.; two brothers, Victor Cochran, Milan, and Harold Cochran, Big Fork, Mont., one sister, Donna Sloan, Milan; and four grandchildren.

One grandson preceded him in death.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. The Rev. Janet Hoyland and the Rev. Mark West will officiate. Entombment with military honors will be in Hawthorn Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church.

GARDNER

Mildred L. Gardner, 81, Mexico, died June 7, 2002, at Pin Oaks Nursing Center, Mexico.

She was born Feb. 7, 1921, in Guthrie, a daughter of Riley and Myrtle Reynolds Kemp. She was married to Herbert Gardner, who preceded her in death.

She worked at Florsheim Shoe Factory, Mexico.

She was a member of Second Baptist Church, Mexico.

She served as a counselor, youth choir sponsor and Sunday school teacher.

She graduated from Garfield School in 1938.

Survivors include: one son, John H. Gardner, Mexico; three daughters, Dorothy Forrest, Janice Wilkerson and Uverna Brown, all of Mexico; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

One son and two daughters preceded her in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church, Mexico. The Rev. T. L. Garner will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Mexico.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Warren Funeral Home, Mexico.

GOODMAN

Robert Eugene Goodman, 57, Hancock, died June 11, 2002, at his home.

He was born Sept. 8, 1944, in Hancock.

He was a member of Hancock Christian Church and worked at Ft. Leonard Wood for 17 years.

Survivors include two sisters, Sheila Seaton, Meta, and Norma Robertson, Dixon.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Long-Gilbert Funeral Home, Dixon. Jack Stevens will officiate. Burial will be in Seaton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

LUTTRELL

Lonnie Oscar Luttrell, 52, Brumley, died June 9, 2002, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.

He was born Dec. 23, 1949, in Miller County, a son of Kenneth and Juanita Brown Luttrell.

He was a fork lift driver in the food industry.

Survivors include: two sons, Lonnie Luttrell Jr., Brumley, and Kenneth Luttrell, Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Wanda Linn, Los Angeles, and Carrie Luttrell, Portland, Ore.; four brothers, Kenneth "Dewey" Luttrell and Vernon "Woody" Luttrell, both of Brumley, David Luttrell, Iberia, and Capt. James Luttrell, Tuscumbia; and one grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Ralph Byrd will officiate. Inurnment will be in Robinett Cemetery near Brumley at a later date.

Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to the Lonnie Luttrell Memorial Fund.

DEAN

William Francis Dean, 76, Eldon, died June 12, 2002, at Lake Ozark.

He was born Dec. 13, 1925, in Iowa City, Iowa, a son of Delbert M. and Clara Dorothy Hamilton Dean. He was married Jan. 11, 1946, in Lake Ozark, to Shirley Cromer, who survives at the home.

An Army veteran, he owned and operated Edgewater Beach Resort and Marine in Lake Ozark from 1945-1994. He was a member of Lake Ozark Christian Church.

Other survivors include two daughters, Sandra Hixson, Athens, Tenn., and Marilyn Rineer, Springfield, and three grandchildren.

One son, David Lee Dean, preceded him in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. James Pohl and Chaplain Bart Larson will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society.

FOLEY

Al W. Foley, 65, California, died June 12, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Oct. 16, 1936, in Geneva County, Ala., a son of William W. and Pearlie Carroll Foley. He was married June 7, 1959, near California, to Sharion E. Keller, who survives at the home.

He was a truck driver for Merten's Oil, retiring in 2002 after 22 years of service. He retired from the Navy. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war and assisted with the recovery of Apollo 11. He was a member of VFW Post 4345 in California, and California Masonic Lodge 183, AF & AM. He was a member of Royal Arch Masons 58 and California Shooters Club.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Ronda Mortenson and Sheila Montgomery, both of California; two brothers, Arthur Foley, state of Alabama, and Richard Foley; two sisters, Ruth Lowe, state of Georgia, and Dorothy Fuller, state of Florida; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Gary Schulte will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in the Masonic Cemetery, California.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today, with Masonic service at 8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or Memorial Processing Unit, Topeka, Kan.
