EDWARDS
Jean B. Edwards, 84, Jefferson City, died June 19, 1999, at his home.
He was born
May 7, 1915, in Randolph County, a son of Albert S. and Ethel Jean Edwards. He was married
June 28, 1933, in Moberly, to Eunice J. Lilly, who survives at the home.
He was a graduate of Cairo High School, Cairo, and an Army veteran of World War II.
A lifelong resident of Central Missouri, he co-owned and co-operated Edwards Plumbing and Heating Co., Macon, for 27 years until his retirement in 1976.
He attended First United Methodist Church and was a member of Jacksonville Masonic Lodge 541.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Judy D. Dunn, Jefferson City; one sister, Martha Bowden, Clearwater, Fla.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cater Funeral Home, Moberly. The Rev. David Phelps will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Moberly.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Cater Funeral Home, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
HOSKINS
Barbara Ann Hoskins, 67, Jefferson City, died June 19, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born
March 19, 1932, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Otis and Pearl Dusenberry Sappington. She was married
in 1955 to Norse O. Hoskins, who survives.
A lifelong resident of Central Missouri, she graduated from Ashland High School and worked as a waitress in Jefferson City restaurants.
She worked in the Missouri Department of Revenue motor vehicle bureau from 1983 until her retirement in 1995. She was an Avon representative for the past 16 years.
She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: her fiance, Harold W. Lepper; one son, Brian Hoskins, Jefferson City; two daughters, Lisa Byers, Grandview, and Kim Alspach, Jefferson City; one sister, Billie Jean Sachs Watson, Columbia; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Doyle Sager will officiate. Private graveside services will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
REIHSEN
Margaret Calista Reihsen, 87, Jefferson City, died June 19, 1999, at Oak Tree Villas.
She was born
Nov. 19, 1911, in Custer, Mont., a daughter of Albert M. and Margaret Thompson Cooley. She was married
Nov. 29, 1934, in Sidney, Mont., to Gerald J. Reihsen, who died Feb. 25.
She was a graduate of Sidney, Mont., High School and the University of North Dakota, with degrees in chemistry and home economics. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. The Reihsens operated a Gamble Store in Farmington, Minn., for 20 years and retired to Arizona. She was a resident of Jefferson City for five years.
She was a member of Mesa Presbyterian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. An avid golfer, she belonged to the Mesa and Pinetop Country Clubs in Arizona.
Survivors include: four sons, Gerald J. Reihsen Jr., Jefferson City, Marvin Albert Reihsen, Hastings, Minn., Robert D. Reihsen, Blaine, Minn., and James E. Reihsen, Farmington, N.M.; her twin sister, Marjorie, Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Jefferson City. The Rev. Rudy Beard will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.
STRUCHTEMEYER
Grace Johanna Struchtemeyer, 75, Higginsville, died June 18, 1999, at Meyer Care Center, Higginsville.
She was born
March 13, 1924, in Higginsville, a daughter of Herbert and Lillie Meinershagen Tempel. She was married
June 29, 1946, to Earl Struchtemeyer, who survives at the home.
A lifetime resident of the Higginsville and Mayview communities, she worked as a cook in the Lafayette County C-1 School District for many years.
She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ.
Other survivors include: three sons, Ralph Struchtemeyer, Holts Summit, Keith Struchtemeyer, Higginsville, and Olin Struchtemeyer, Mayview; two daughters, Esther Long, Parkville, and Kathy Hoeppner, Lexington; one brother, Maurice Tempel, Higginsville; and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Salem United Church of Christ, Higginsville. The Rev. Helen "Penny" Greer will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. today at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Shriners to help burn victims.
SWISHER
Glen M. Swisher, 79, Jefferson City, died June 18, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born
Jan. 30, 1920, in Shelby County, a son of Carson E. and Mary Hazel Crabtree Swisher. He was married
April 18, 1941, in New Cambria, to Addie M. Atha, who survives at the home.
He was a 1938 graduate of Bethel High School and attended Hannibal-LaGrange College, Wil-liam Jewell College and the University of Missouri-Columbia. A Navy veteran, he was the first director of disability determination for the Missouri Department of Education. He also was the first manager of the Bunker Hill Teachers Resort at Mountain View.
He was a member of Concord Baptist Church, the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Retired Teachers Association.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Glenda Kay Emily, Mokane, Elena Jungmeyer, Centertown, and Janet Schroer, St. Martins; two brothers, Laurel Swisher, Bethel, and Roger Swisher, Independence; two sisters, LaVerne Sage, Macon, and Barbara Stewart, Columbia; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Concord Baptist Church. The Rev. Monte Shinkle will officiate. Burial will be in Centertown Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to Concord Baptist Church, the American Heart Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
BENTCH
Walter H. Bentch, 83, Macks Creek, died June 19, 1999, at his home.
He was born
Aug. 3, 1915, in Macks Creek, a son of James E. and Alice Elizabeth Creach Harmon Bentch. He was married
Oct. 17, 1936, in Macks Creek, to Ruby Ilene Pennel, who survives at the home.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Macks Creek.
Other survivors include: one son, Kenneth Ray Bentch, Macks Creek; three daughters, Doris Stone and Freda Strunk, both of Warsaw, and Lucille Eaton, Camdenton; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Betty Ruth Bentch, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Macks Creek. The Rev. Dinzel Webb will officiate. Burial will be in Creach Cemetery, Macks Creek.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Macks Creek.
BURCHARD
Lloyd W. Burchard, 81, Bonnots Mill, died June 20, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
Arrangements are incomplete at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.
ELLIOTT
Nancy Hazel Elliott, 80, Boonville, died June 20, 1999, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
She was born
Sept. 26, 1918, in Clarksburg, a daughter of Henry and Blanche Piatt Stewart. She was married
June 1, 1941, in California, to Benjamin Homer Elliott, who died Dec. 8, 1989.
She attended Lee School in Cooper County. A homemaker, she was a member of First Baptist Church, California, and the DAV Auxiliary, Boonville.
Survivors include: four sons, Norman Elliott, Columbia, and Benjamin Henry Elliott, Melvin Elliott and Kelly Elliott, all of Boonville; one daughter, Judy Wainscott, Columbia; two sisters, Anna Derendinger, Jamestown, and Bertha Cook, Clarksburg; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Ivan Dameron will officiate. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, near Centertown.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

GOSER
Evelyn G. Goser, 90, Jefferson City, died June 20, 1999, at Oak View Living Center.
She was born
April 9, 1909, in Osage City, a daughter of George and Gertrude Miller Case. She was married
Oct. 21, 1930, in Jefferson City, to Eugene F. Goser, who died Aug. 28, 1968.
She was a 1927 graduate of Jefferson City High School.
She was postmaster in Osage City for 31 years, and a medical secretary at Sugarbaker Tumor Clinic for seven years.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Ladies Church Circle 2 and the National League of Postmasters.
Survivors include: two sons, Eugene A. Goser, Jefferson City, and Harold W. Goser, St. Louis; one brother, Donald W. Case Sr., Osage City; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. John Hobratschk will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
