JONES
Harold W. Jones, 85, formerly of Russellville, died June 26, 2002, at Seville Estates, Amarillo, Texas .
He was born March 30, 1917, in Olean, a son of John J. and Annie Felber Jones. He was married Nov. 12, 1935, in Camdenton, to Lucille L. Hogg, who died June 24, 1998.
He was a farmer and worked at the Federal Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Services for 30 years. He was executive director of the Miller County Office, Tuscumbia, for 20 years and the Platte County Office, Platte City, for nine years.
He was a member and officer of the Lions Club, and a member of the Russellville Masonic Lodge 90 and Eugene O.E.S. 386 for over 50 years. He served as director of the Platte County Business and Professional Association. He worked with the 4-H Club. He was active in the Shriners, St. Joseph, and Capital Shriners, Jefferson City.
Survivors include: one daughter, Sharon Young, Amarillo; two sons, Cecil E. Jones, Portland, Ore., and Larry Jones, Olean; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
One grandchild preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Russellville. The Rev. Alan Earls, the Rev. Aniceto Garza and the Rev. Jerry Young will officiate. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, Russellville, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Lions Eye Bank or Shriners Children Hospital.
BAYS
Velma Bays, 64, Holts Summit, died June 29, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born May 19, 1938, in Richwoods, a daughter of Wilbur and Minnie Cox Huffman. She was married June 28, 1958, in Dixon, to Earl Bays, who survives at the home.
She was a member of Dix Road Church of Christ. She worked as a correctional supervisor at the Missouri Department of Corrections for 17 years until retiring in 1997.
Other survivors include: one son, Douglas Bays, California; one daughter, Catherine Heinz, Holts Summit; one brother, Robert Huffman, Dixon; four sisters, Emma Huffman, Leasburg, Virginia Robertson, Dixon, Shirley Robertson, Bourbon, and Frances Myrick, Newburg; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. Bro. Charles Pitts will officiate. Burial will be in Clifty Cemetery, near Dixon.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday and from noon-2 p.m. Tuesday.
CRAMER
Marvin V. Cramer, 75, Jefferson City, died June 29, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born July 4, 1926, in Morrison, a son of Victor and Edna F. Whertwine Cramer. He was married May 13, 1948, in Morrison, to Dorothy J. Westhoff, who died April 29, 1999.
He was longtime resident of the Jefferson City area and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He worked with the Missouri Division of Social Services for 20 years until retiring in 1988.
He was a member of the American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5; the Retired Missouri State Employees Association; and a former member of the Planetary Society.
Survivors include: his fiancee, Gladys Maeser, Jefferson City; five sisters, Aileen Blackburn and Beverly Cramer, both of Linn, Marilyn Frederick, Fremont, Ohio, Marion Schamburg, Perryville, and Brenda Reaves, McRae, Ark.; and two brothers, Ronald Cramer, Jefferson City, and Jerry Cramer, Salem.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Tony Townley will officiate. Graveside services with military honors will be in the Mausoleum of Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
SAALE
Phyllis Jean Saale, 68, St. Charles, died June 28, 2002, in St. Louis.
She was born Aug. 27, 1933, a daughter of Chester and Mayme Bailey. She was married in 1953, in West Alton, to Joseph Saale, who survives in St. Louis.
She was a salesperson for Sears in Alton, Ill., and St. Louis for 30 years. She worked at Yellowstone and Denali National Park.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Phyllis R. Emmel, Jefferson City, and Kelly Saale, Houston; one son, Kurt Saale, St. Charles; one sister, Norma "Dark" Saale, St. Louis; one brother, Alan Bailey, Sullivan; and two grandchildren.
One son, Barry Saale, died in 1963.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, West Alton. Fr. Mike Asandweg will officiate. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stygar Funeral Home, Florissant.
SMITH
Robert G. Smith, 67, Jefferson City, died June 29, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

Mary Jane Dickensheets, 79, Gravois Mills, died June 29, 2002, at her home.

KING
Eleanor Brown King, 86, Jefferson City, died June 28, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born March 13, 1916, in Osceola, a daughter of Oliver and Orpha Poole Brown. She was married April 5, 1942, in Springfield, to Dr. Richard L. King, who died April 9, 2002.
She graduated from Fairgrove High School. A homemaker, she lived in the Jefferson City area since 1971. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She volunteered with the American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include: one daughter, Jeanie McGowan, Jefferson City; two sisters, Orpha Boegel, Altamont, Kan., and Edith Thomas, Kansas City; two brothers, Oliver Brown, Mt. Palomar, Calif., and William Brown, Santa Rosa, Calif.; three grandchildren ad eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Doyle Sager will officiate. Private graveside services will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Springfield.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Freeman Mortuary.
