MACKLIN

Irene Macklin, 86, Lee's Summit, died July 16, 2002, at her home.

She was born July 25, 1915, in Hartsburg, a daughter of Frank and Alma Bueshcer Osterloh. She was married in 1933 to Albert J. Schultz, who died in 1974. She was married in 1977 to Floyd S. Macklin, who died in 1984.

A graduate of  Jefferson City High School, she was homemaker and international director of mothers clubs for the International Order of Demolay.

She was a member of South Presbyterian and Second Presbyterian churches in Kansas City. She was active in the PTOs of Bryant Elementary and Southwest High schools. She moved to Lone Jack in 1970.

She moved to Lee's Summit in 1988 and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lee's Summit.

Survivors include: one son, Philip Schultz, Boulder, Colo.; one daughter, Diana Huddleston, Blue Springs; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Langsford Funeral Home, Lee's Summit. Burial will be in Floral Hills East, Lee's Summit.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday.

NAPIER

Betty Lou Napier, 78,  Jefferson City, died July 14, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born April 22, 1924, in Higginsville, a daughter of Edward D. and Bertha Lee Booker Winter. She was married Sept. 6, 1952, in Sharp County, Arkansas, to Edgar O. Napier, who died in 1996.

She graduated from  Jefferson City High School and from  Jefferson City Junior College.

She was an accountant for the American Cancer Society and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

She was an Army veteran of World War II.

She is survived by three nephews, Michael G. Winter, Mark A. Winter and Gary Bemboom.

One son, Dennis Allan Napier, preceded her in death.

Private services will be held.

Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.

POTTER

Leo Max Potter, 74, Clarksburg, died July 15, 2002, at his home.

He was born March 28, 1928, in Sullivan County, a son of Ira U. and Hattie Smiley Potter. He was married March 1, 1963, in Unionville, to Edna Q. Minear, who survives at the home.

He co-owned Thomas & Potter Hog Market in Eldon.

He also worked with California Feed & Supply, MFA Livestock and was a farmer.

He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, north of California; California Lodge 183, AF & AM; and was involved in 4-H.

A graduate of Unionville High School, he was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.

Other survivors include: two sons, Robert M. Potter, Clarksburg, and Troy D. Potter, Latham; three daughters, Jo Knight, Unionville, Diana G. Potter, Buckeye, Ariz., and Sharon Longan, California; one sister, Floy Billingsley, California; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Kevin Blackburn will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today, with a Masonic service at 8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, Mo. 63131-3597; Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Clarksburg, Mo. 65025; or a charity of the donor's choice.

WITTROCK

Mary E. "Elenor" Wittrock, 95, Versailles, died July 16, 2002, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.

She was born May 27, 1907, in Chicago, a daughter of William and Mary Frances Green Baumann. She was married Feb. 12, 1930, in Chicago, to Herman C. Wittrock, who died Sept. 5, 1993.

She and her husband owned and operated Stover's Frigid Food Locker from 1950 until 1975. She lived in Versailles since 1994 and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stover.

Survivors include: one son, Merlin C. Wittrock, Los Angeles; one daughter, Marianne Henry, Daytona Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Stover. The Rev. Cecil Murdock will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

REINKEMEYER

Lloyd C. Reinkemeyer, 65,  Jefferson City, died July 16, 2002, at his home.

He was born Dec. 9, 1936, in St. Louis County, a son of Matthew and Theresa Hertzing Reinkemeyer. His mother survives in Westphalia. He was married Sept. 12, 1959, in  Jefferson City, to Mary Ann Bernskoetter, who survives at the home.

He was a 1954 graduate of Fatima High School, Westphalia. He retired as a service representative with Pitney-Bowes, Inc., after 35 years of service. He owned and operated a beef cattle farm in Osage County.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; the Holy Name Society; Dan C. Coppin Fourth Degree Assembly, Knights of Columbus; Westphalia Knights of Columbus Council 1171; Fraternal Order of Eagles; and volunteered with Samaritan Center and Vitae Society.

Other survivors include: three sons, Larry M. Reinkemeyer, Overland Park, Kan., Steve L. Reinkemeyer,  Jefferson City, and David W. Reinkemeyer, St. Louis; two daughters, Kathy A. Morefield and Joanie M. Kelly, both of Overland Park; one twin brother, Floyd Reinkemeyer, Westphalia; two sisters, Marie Reinkemeyer,  Jefferson City, and Margie Phillips, Garden Grove, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Patrick G. Dolan will officiate. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Church Endowment Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.

RISS

Bernard Pierre Riss, 72,  Jefferson City, died July 15, 2002, at his home.

Arrangements are at Buescher Memorial Home.

BOOTH

Mary Frances Booth, 95, Fulton, died July 17, 2002, at Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born July 21, 1906, in Franklin County, a daughter of Silas W. and Madie Brigleb Booth.

She was a self-employed dressmaker.

Survivors include two cousins, Jon Brigleb, Las Vegas, and Paul Cloud, Fulton.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Louis Guardiola will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Fulton.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday.

SCHMIDT

Mary C. Schmidt, 84, Hannibal, died July 16, 2002, at Beth Haven Nursing Home, Hannibal.

She was born April 12, 1918, in St. Louis, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Catherine Bruner Severs. She was married Oct. 14, 1941, to Ralph J. Schmidt, who died Nov. 5, 1961.

She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family Church.

Survivors include: two sons, Gary Schmidt, Cape Girardeau, and Glen Schmidt, Ada, Mich.; five daughters, Mary Brink, Moberly, Jeanne Zagorac,  Jefferson City, Beverly Fields, Florissant, Valene Cauwels, Muscatine, Iowa, and Madonna Tucker, Hannibal; 24 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Two daughters, Barbara Wilson and Marsha Dooley Moeslein, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Church, Hannibal. The Rev. Mike Quinn will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at James O'Donnell Funeral Home, Hannibal, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Beth Haven Nursing Home Alzheimers Garden Wing.

VINEYARD

Reba Vineyard, 80, Dixon, died July 16, 2002, at Christian Health Care, Dixon.

She was born Nov. 9, 1921, in Maries County, a daughter of Charley and Mary Vaughan Blankenship. She was married Aug. 6, 1938, in Vienna, to James Henry Vineyard, who died Nov. 28, 1998.

She was a member of Victory Hill Baptist Church, Dixon. She worked at Brown Shoe Company.

Survivors include: two sons, Grover Vineyard and Lonnie Vineyard, both of Dixon; one daughter, Fay Sinden, Dixon; one sister, Inez Hollis, Vienna; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. Dennis Nichols and Don Maples will officiate. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery, near Dixon.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and from 10-11 a.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to Wheeler Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
