DUTCHER
Kenneth A. Dutcher, 83, California, died July 22, 2002, at his home.
He was born March 17, 1919, in High Point, a son of Horace and Irene Stevens Dutcher. He was married April 8, 1951, in Eldon, to Naomi Gamphor, who died Sept. 29, 1997.
He attended Lincoln School in Enon. He owned and operated K.A. Dutcher Paint since 1957. He was a member of First Baptist Church in California. He was a member of California Masonic Lodge 183 AF & AM, where he was awarded the 50-year Mason pin. He was a member of the Royal Arch Lodge 58, Lake Ozark Shrine Club, and Abou Ben Adhem Shrine in Springfield. He was past worthy patron of the Eastern Star in Kansas City.
Survivors include: one son, Darryl Dutcher, High Point; one daughter, Nora Yelton, California; one brother, Lester Dutcher, California; two granddaughters; and two step granddaughters.
One son, David Dutcher, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Greg Morrow will officiate. Burial will be in High Point Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
BRUNE
Tressia Brune, 63, Vienna, died July 23, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 16, 1939, in Cerro Gorda, Ark., a daughter of Paul and Catherine Morgan. She was married in August 1960 in Valley Park to Jim Brune, who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and had lived in Texas .
Survivors include three sisters, Mary Murphy, Vienna, Clara Kostloff, Houston, Texas , and Juanita Price, Perry, Ark.
Two infant daughters preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. The Rev. Cameron Moles will officiate. Burial will be in Vienna Public Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the Tressia Brune Memorial Fund.
PHILLIPS
Alma Phillips, 86, Camdenton, died July 22, 2002, at Osage Beach Health Care Center.
She was born June 16, 1916, in Bonnots Mill, a daughter of Gustave and Laura Perriguey Perry. She was married Sept. 4, 1937, to Henry Phillips, who died Feb. 28, 1981.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: four sons, Daniel Phillips, Centertown, David Phillips, Russellville, Steve Phillips, Camdenton, and Ronnie Phillips, Halls, Tenn.; six daughters, Carolyn Smith, Centertown, Laura Ann Welch, Beverly Krummen and Elaine Kimbrough, all of Jefferson City, Pauline Cassmeyer, Lakeland, Fla., and Kathy Garner, Camdenton; one sister, Hilda Thoenen, St. Louis; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Three grandchildren preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Dennis North will officiate. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery, Camdenton.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
RUMLEY
Dona R. Rumley, 70, Camdenton, died July 22, 2002, at Windsor Estates Nursing Facility, Camdenton.
She was born Nov. 6, 1931, a daughter of Edward and Clara Roberts Ott. She was married to John Rumley, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Pam Hall, Lake Ozark, and Jonda Boudonck, Lebanon.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
RUSSELL
Services were Tuesday for Pauline Theresa Russell, 84, Roosevelt, Ariz., who died July 16, 2002, at her home.
She was born in Linn. She was married to Claude Russell, who survives.
She lived in Arizona for 50 years and worked as a food service supervisor for the University of Arizona. She was a member of the Kiwanis, Roosevelt Womens Club and Homemakers Club. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Roosevelt.
Survivors include: three daughters, Bonnie Pierce and Lavon Minister, both of Tucson, Ariz., and Earlene Warden, Roosevelt; one brother, Edward Jim Bax, Jefferson City; three sisters, Mary Lou Claus, Tucson, Evelyn Roark, Denver, and Betty Huhman, Jefferson City; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Roosevelt Lake Resort, Ariz. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Tucson.
Local services will be at 8 a.m. Aug. 10 at Immaculate Conception Church, Jefferson City.
Arrangements were under the direction of Lamont Mortuary of Globe, Globe, Ariz.
SARTAIN
Harley Sartain, 57, Blue Springs, died July 22, 2002, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City.
He was born Dec. 1, 1944, in Enon, a son of James and Ellen Sartain. His mother survives in Kansas City. He was married to Carol Hamilton Sartain, who survives at the home.
He received a master's degree in mechanical engineering and retired in 2000 as a senior staff engineer with Honeywell.
Other survivors include two sons, Brian Sartain, Pensacola, Fla., and Michael Sartain, Kansas City, and one brother, Ron Sartain, Lee's Summit.
One daughter, Alicia Lynn Sartain, preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Webb-Freer Funeral Home, Blue Springs.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Weber and Sons Funeral Home.
TSCHIRGI
Marjorie Tschirgi, 75, Louisville, Colo., died July 21, 2002, at Hospice Center, Louisville.
She was born Nov. 18, 1926, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, a daughter of Lloyd C. and Ann Cutter Child. She was married June 25, 1950, in Nevada, Iowa, to Paul T. Tschirgi, who preceded her in death.
She moved to Louisville from Reinbeck, Iowa, in 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of United Church of Christ, Reinbeck, where she was a choir director.
Survivors include: one son, Daniel M. Tschirgi, Jefferson City; two daughters, Sara T. Bocci, Louisville, Colo., and Lora T. Becker, Lyons, Colo.; and seven grandchildren.
Services and inurnment will be Aug. 2 in Reinbeck.
Memorials are suggested to the local Hospice or the Mid Missouri Alzheimer's Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Darrell Howe Mortuary in Lafayette, Colo.
HANAUER
Edward T. Hanauer, 81, Jefferson City, died July 24, 2002, at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia.
He was born June 15, 1921, in Kansas City, Kan., a son of Edward T. Sr. and Theresa M. Wheatley Hanauer. He was married Sept. 12, 1942, in Jacksonville, Fla., to Gertrude C. Castor, who survives at the home.
A resident of the Central Missouri area for most of his life, he graduated from Rosedale High School, Kansas City, Kan.
He attended Rockhurst College, Kansas City.
He worked as a recreational director with the Missouri Department of Corrections for 25 years, retiring in 1984.
He was a member of St. Peters Church. He was a member of VFW, Roy Sone Post 1003 ; the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 2693; and the American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Laurie.
He was a Marine veteran of World War II.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ed Hanauer, Calif., and Mike Hanauer, Ashland; one daughter, Patty Kempker, Jefferson City; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
One son, John Joseph Hanauer, died in 1952.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Freeman Mortuary. Graveside services with military honors will be in Centertown Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday.
