BOEHME

John W. Boehme, 90, California, died Aug. 13, 2002, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia.

He was born June 9, 1912, in Moniteau County, a son of Herman G. and Minnie Lukaschek Boehme. He was married April 22, 1951, to Augusta Propst, who died Dec. 11, 1996.

A lifelong farmer and carpenter, he was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. He attended Brick School. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of California VFW Post 4345.

Survivors include: one son, Paul Boehme, California; two daughters, Dorothy Vetter, Columbia, and Mary Boehme, California; and one grandson.

Services will be at noon Friday at Salem United Church of Christ. The Rev. Gary Schulte and the Rev. Judith Rinehart-Nelson will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Salem United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 12, McGirk, Mo. 65055; or Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 12, McGirk, Mo. 65055.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.

HUSTON

Barbara Frances Huston, 73, Kaiser, died Aug. 12, 2002, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.

She was born April 15, 1929, in St. Louis, a daughter of Casper and Teresa Holzinger Weber. She was married Nov. 25, 1954, in St. Louis, to Larry Huston, who survives at the home.

She co-owned and co-operated Huston's Markets in Troy and Larry Sinclair's in St. Charles.

Other survivors include: three sons, Red Huston, Lake Ozark, R.J. Huston,  Jefferson City, and Terry Huston, Ulman; one daughter, Sandy Huston, Kaiser; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach. Mark Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens, Osage Beach.

Visitation will be from noon-3 p.m. Saturday.

KRAUS

Regina Margaret Kraus, 95, Taos, died Aug. 13, 2002, at Westphalia Retirement Center.

She was born Sept. 10, 1906, in Castle Rock, a daughter of Ferdinand H. and Anna Margaret Zeilmann Ortmeyer. She was married April 15, 1931, in  Jefferson City, to Edwin M. Kraus, who died May 31, 1984.

She attended school at Castle Rock and St. Francis Xavier Parish School in Taos. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and St. Ann's Quilting Circle.

Survivors include: one daughter, Rosemary Wibberg, Taos; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

One great-grandchild preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. David Maher will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Buescher Memorial Home and from 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to St. Frances Xavier Parish or to a charity of the donor's choice.

BULLOCK

Services were today for George Bullock, 78, Tunas, who died Aug. 12, 2002, at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.

He was born Sept. 25, 1923, in Martin County, N.C., a son of Jess and Allie Bullock. He was married May 6, 1946, in Greenville, N.C., to Mary Alice Scott, who survives.

He was the golf superintendent at Lake Valley Country Club until his retirement. He also farmed.

Other survivors include: one son, Glen Bullock, Camdenton; one daughter, Georgiana Bullock, Springfield; one sister, Della Langly, Dunn, N.C.; and three grandsons.

One daughter, Dale Bullock, preceded him in death.

Graveside services were in Hedges Cemetery, Camdenton. The Rev. Dennis North officiated.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.

ETTER

Rea Taylor Etter, 93,  Jefferson City, died Aug. 14, 2002, in  Jefferson City.

He was born April 23, 1909, in St. Louis, a son of Orville E. and Byrt Taylor Etter. He was married Oct. 18, 1952, in Centralia, to Margaret Mary Tyner Etter, who died April 25, 1994.

He worked in a hotel kitchen. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in  Jefferson City.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Doyle Sager will officiate. The body was cremated. Burial will be private.

Memorials are suggested in care of Glenda Maxwell.

HALSEY

Patricia Anne Halsey, 68, Tipton, died Aug. 14, 2002, at Tipton Manor Nursing Home.

She was born July 3, 1934, in Coles County, Ill., a daughter of Harold D. and Inez Aleen Motley Kelly.

She was a bookkeeper and homemaker. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church, Ashmore, Ill. She graduated from Charleston High School, Charleston, Ill., and attended Eastern Illinois University.

Survivors include: one son, John Halsey, California; two daughters, Beth McQuaide, Tipton, and Gail Babson, Lee's Summit; two brothers, Dain Kelly, Marseiles, Ill., and Michael Kelly, Medina, Ohio; one sister, Linda White , Carlisle, Mass.; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Caudill-King Funeral Home, Charleston. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorials Gardens, Mattoon, Ill.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to Multiple Sclerosis Society, 915 Olive, Suite 815, St. Louis, Mo. 63101.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.

PULLIAM

John Willie Pulliam III, 15,  Jefferson City, died Aug. 13, 2002, in Poplar Bluff from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born May 2, 1987, in Blytheville, Ark., a son of John W. Jr., and LaFrancine Hill Pulliam. His mother survives in  Jefferson City.

He was a sophomore at  Jefferson City High School, where he was a member of the football, wrestling and track teams and the concert choir. He worked at the Hy-Vee Store. He was a member of the Church of God in Christ.

Other survivors include: two sisters, Faith Pulliam,  Jefferson City, and Paula Renee White , Malden; paternal grandmother, Willie Mae Pulliam, Kennett; and maternal grandfather, the Rev. Nathaniel Hill, Chicago.

His father also died in the accident.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Albert Nickens and Nathaniel Ellis will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to the John W. Pulliam III Memorial Fund.

WASHBURN

Services were today for David A. Washburn, 62, Rogers, Ark., who died Aug. 12, 2002, at Rochester Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn.

He was born Aug. 12, 1940, in Versailles, a son of Paul E. and Martha Mae Heineman Washburn. He was married Dec. 31, 1960, to Sharon Hibdon, who survives at the home.

He retired in 1983 as vice president of Wal-Mart in charge of personnel and training. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Rogers.

Other survivors include: one son, Scott Washburn, Rogers; two daughters, Dody McDaniel, Springfield, and Stacy Washburn, Rogers; twin brother, Theodore Washburn, Osage Beach; and two grandsons.

One son, Samuel Theodore "Sammy" Washburn, preceded him in death.

Services were at First Presbyterian Church, Rogers. The Rev. Jimmy Hopper officiated. Graveside services and inurnment will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Versailles Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Royer will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church, Rogers.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.

WOODS

Ora Otis Woods, 85,  Jefferson City, died Aug. 15, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Feb. 19, 1917, in Callaway County, a son of Albert "Bud" and Eugenia Brown Woods. He was married Nov. 19, 1938, in  Jefferson City, to Emma Helton, who survives at the home.

He lived in Central Missouri all his life and attended school in rural Callaway County. He was employed at the Tweedie Footwear Factory for 24 years, and later with Chesebrough-Ponds for 12 years, retiring in 1979.

He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Hartsburg.

Other survivors include: two sons, Otis W. Woods, Holts Summit, and O. Ray Woods, California; one daughter, Shirley M. Wood,  Jefferson City; one brother, Francis Woods, Fulton; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. The Rev. Michael Quinn will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Freeman Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
