SOMMERS
Harold LeRoy Sommers, 70, Barnett, died Aug. 25, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born April 23, 1932, in Boonville, a son of Clinton and Lorain Copas Sommers. He was married Dec. 23, 1951, in Yuma, Ariz., to Alice Kirchner, who survives at the home.
He attended Prairie Home School. He worked for ABC Moving and Storage from 1962-1964 and later as a truck driver for Yellow Freight for 30 years. He retired in 1994.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Versailles.
He was a lifetime member of California VFW Post 4345 and a member of Teamster Local 41 in Kansas City.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Other survivors include: three sons, Harold Sommers Jr., Ft. Collins, Colo., Harvey Sommers, Blue Springs, and Harley Sommers, Eldon; one daughter, Pam Evans, Barnett; one brother, Arnold Sommers, Lincoln, Neb.; four sisters, Mary Reily and Betty Davis, both of Sedalia, Ruby Zubrod, Omaha, Neb., and Opal Bowman, Suffolk, Va.; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, Versailles. The Rev. Erik Rottmann will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, California.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.

ALLEN
Benjamin H. "Ben" Allen Jr., 87, Camdenton, died Aug. 26, 2002, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born Dec. 27, 1914, in Soldier, Kan., a son of Benjamin H. Sr., and Gurtrude Palmer Allen. He was married to Iva Marie Gering Allen, who survives at the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Larry Allen, Camdenton, and Melvin Allen, Kansas City; two daughters, Polly Allen, Camdenton, and Bonnie Bond, state of Florida; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton.
RIKARD
Annie Rikard, 96, Linn, died Aug. 26, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born March 23, 1906 in Mt. Sterling. She was married July 19, 1925, in St. Louis, to Bill Rikard, who died Oct. 24, 1984.
She was a lifelong resident of Osage County and a homemaker. She was a member of Pin Oak Creek Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling.
Survivors include: three sons, Billy Eugene Rikard, Jefferson City, Warren Allen "Pete" Rikard, Houston, Texas , and Kenneth Ray Rikard, Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Phyllis Ann Rikard, Linn; 22 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Herbert Lee "Frog" Rikard, and one daughter, Mary Ellen Bossaller, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Morton Funeral Home in Linn. The Rev. Warren "Pete" Rikard and the Rev. Glen Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in Giedenhagen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
SMITH
Betty Kay Arnel Smith, 48, Dewar, Okla., died Aug. 18, 2002, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born Feb. 10, 1954, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Betty Ann Browner Robinett. Her stepfather, Ralph Robinett, survives in Eldon.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Sharon Kay Robinett, Jefferson City; one brother, Richard Arnel, St. Joseph; three sisters, Sharon Shoemaker, New Bloomfield, Brenda Roark, Holts Summit, and Deby Schaffer, St. Charles; and one grandson.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, in Enlow Cemetery, Russellville.
The body was cremated under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Checotah, Okla.
STIDHAM
Ruthie A. Stidham, 50, Camdenton, died Aug. 25, 2002, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
She was born Jan. 19, 1952, in Sheboygan, Wis., a daughter of Raymond and Suzanne Vanderbilt Albers. She was married June 23, 1985, to Wendell Stidham, who survives at the home.
She graduated from high school in Sheboygan and moved to Camdenton in the late 1970s to study at the New Tribes Mission Language Institute. She lived in the Philippines for two years. She returned to Camdenton and co-owned and operated Vitamin Village. She was a member of Graceland Church in Camdenton.
Other survivors include: two sons, Derek Stidham and Michael Stidham, both of the home; two daughters, Jaimie Stidham and Devan Stidham, both of the home; and one brother, Rick Albers, New Underwood, S.D.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Graceland Church. Bob King and Ralph Kenniston will officiate. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Tunas.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.
Memorials are suggested for the family.
STEGEMAN
Clara J. Stegeman, 81, Kansas City, died Aug. 26, 2002, at Timberlake Care Center, Kansas City.
She was born Oct. 6, 1920, in Westphalia, a daughter of Henry C. and Mary Ann Peitzmeyer. She was married to Lawrence B. Stegeman, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son, Lawrence H. Stegeman; one daughter, Patricia Brisson; one brother, Anthony Peitzmeyer; two sisters, Hilda Koetting and Rosemary Wieberg; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ the King Church, Kansas City. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah South Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Chapel, Kansas City, with a rosary at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
OTTO
Anna L. Otto, 85, Jefferson City, did Aug. 26, 2002, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born Aug. 24, 1917, in Rich Fountain, a daughter of Joseph H. and Mary Ann Struempf Otto. She was married Sept. 3, 1938, in Jefferson City, to Clemens John Otto, who died April 3, 1983.
She attended school in Rich Fountain. She was a homemaker and worked at Obermann Manufacturing Company, International Shoe Company, Von Hoffmann Press and St. Marys Hospital. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church and St. Ann's Quilting Circle of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Survivors include: four sons, Jerome J. Otto, Green Lane, Pa., John C. Otto and Joseph C. Otto, both of Jefferson City, and Gary J. Otto, St. Elizabeth; four daughters, Mary Ann Kempf, Boonville, Barbara A. Martin and Ann M. Dake, both of Jefferson City, and Margaret "Peggy" Stoving, Florissant; one sister, Martha Lukens, state of California; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Two daughters, Martha Ann Otto and Dorothy Joan Otto, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peters Catholic Church Chapel. The Rev. Donald Lammers and the Rev. Dennis Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Buescher Memorial Home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

LYNN
Anna Dale Lynn, 53, Linn, died Aug. 27, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born July 12, 1949, in Polk County, Ala., a daughter of Chester L. and Eva Mae Hardin Wright. She was married Aug. 4, 1974, in Bowling Green, Fla., to Henry R. Lynn, who died June 6, 1998.
She was a licensed insurance agent and worked for an insurance brokerage firm in Bowling Green. She moved to Linn in 1997.
Survivors include: two sons, James W. Rhodes II, state of Georgia, and James W. Rhodes III., Rolla; six stepsons, Dennis Lynn and David Lynn, both of Atlanta, Ga., Donald Lynn, state of Arkansas, Douglas Lynn, state of Alabama, Michael Lynn, Linn, and Danny Lynn, state of Florida; one daughter, Tabatha Sue Lynn, of the home; one brother, Rick Shoun, Talladega, Ala.; one sister, Patricia Segura, Pell City, Ala.; and grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Linn Public Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Thursday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.
Memorials are suggested to the Autism Foundation.
WEBB
Victoria Ann Jarecki Webb, 85, Linn Creek, died Aug. 26, 2002, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach.
She was born Dec. 28, 1916, in Omaha, Neb., a daughter of John and Mary Ann Jarecki. She was married May 10, 1941, in Omaha, to John Webb, who preceded her in death.
She retired from waitressing at Tan-Tar-A. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Survivors include: six sons, Steve Lester Jarecki, of the home, William Webb, Omaha, Larry Webb, Mike Webb and Aaron Webb, all of Linn Creek, and Stephen Webb, Savannah, Ga.; one daughter, Joyce Ann Webb, Kansas City; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. The Rev. Raphael Keyes will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Linn Creek.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home followed by a wake at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Zion Cemetery.
KETTERER
Gladys M. Ketterer, 90, Jefferson City, died Aug. 28, 2002, at Jefferson City Manor Care Nursing Home.
