YOUNG

Bernard "Corky" Young, 73, Tebbetts, died Sept. 3, 2002, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.

He was born Nov. 2, 1928, in St. Louis, a son of Joseph and Christine Jackson Fiorino. He was married to Betty Lee Decker, who died in 1981.

A resident of the Central Missouri area for 30 years, he farmed and owned and operated an auto sales business. He attended First Baptist Church,  Jefferson City.

Survivors include: one son, Michael Young, Tebbetts; one daughter, Mona L. Davis, Las Vegas; one brother, Raymond Young, St. Louis; one half brother, Joe Fiorino, St. Peters; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Doyle Sager will officiate. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Louis.

Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to the Missouri Baptist Childrens Home, Bridgeton.

PATTEN

Allen G. Patten, 28, Calif., died Sept. 4, 2002, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.

Arrangements are incomplete at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.

MARTIN

Debra Louise Martin, 43, Holts Summit, died Aug. 25, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born Aug. 9, 1959, in Whittier, Calif., a daughter of Arvin R. and Donna Darnell Gilbreath.

She attended Redlands Schools in Redlands, Calif. She worked as a certified nurse's assistant at Riverview Nursing Home in Mokane. She worked for the Cottages Nursing Home in Albuquerque, N.M.

Survivors include: two sons, Jeremiah Jennings and Justin Roy William Gilbreath, both of Holts Summit; one daughter, Hanna Michele Gilbreath, Holts Summit; one sister, Deeanna Lynn Sandlin, San Bernardino, Calif.; and fiance, Kevin Wirts, Holts Summit.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors in  Jefferson City. The Rev. Murray Buschert will officiate.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to an educational fund for her children.

BOLINGER

Paul A. Bolinger, 92, California, died Sept. 3, 2002, at Tipton Manor Nursing Home, Tipton.

He was born Sept. 5, 1909, near California, a son of Jacob R. and Lodema Birdsong Bolinger. He was married April 5, 1931, in California, to Lucille Wells, who died Nov. 4, 1994.

He attended Pilot Grove Grade School. He was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of First Baptist Church, California, and a former member and deacon of Flag Spring Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school.

He received the Sublime Degree of Master in California Lodge 183, A.F. & A.M. and served as worshipful master in 1954. He received the Royal Arch Degree in California Chapter 58, R.A.M. and served as high priest in 1952. He served as regional district deputy high priest in this region. He was a member of California Chapter 521, O.E.S. and served as worthy patron in 1953. He was a member of Ezra Council 32, R & S. Master and Prince of Peace Commandary of  Jefferson City. He was a member of board of directors of the Farmers and Traders Bank for more than 40 years; and served as director and past president of Moniteau County Fair Board.

Survivors include one son, Logan Bolinger, California, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Flag Spring Baptist Church. The Rev. Greg Morrow will officiate. Burial will be in Flag Spring Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California, with a Masonic service at 8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church-Sanctuary Renovation Project, 208 South Oak Street, California, Mo. 65018.

WILLIAMS

Dorothy Dinwiddie Williams, 96,  Jefferson City, died Sept. 5, 2002, at Oak Tree Nursing Center.

She was born Nov. 12, 1905, in Daisey, Wash., a daughter of Edward and Sarah Lantz Bradeen. She was married Aug. 17, 1922, in Newton, Kan., to Clive O. Dinwiddie, who died Aug. 27, 1956. She was married Oct. 21, 1961, in Camdenton, to W.P. Williams, who died Sept. 5, 1984.

She was a production clerk for Grennan Baker, North Kansas City, for 25 years. A resident of the central Missouri area for 44 years, she owned and operated the Oak Ridge Motel, Roach, until her retirement in 1985.

She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Brazito, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Eastgate Lodge, Kansas City.

Survivors include: one son, Edward O. Dinwiddie, Leawood, Kan.; one daughter, Virginia O. Taylor,  Jefferson City; five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City.

Memorials are suggested to the Missouri River Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

CURRY

Oliver Curry, 48, Holts Summit, died Sept. 3, 2002, in Holts Summit.

He was born Aug. 15, 1954, in Tuscumbia, a son of Harold B. and Mable R. Curry. His mother survives in Edwardsville, Ill. He was formerly married to Brenda Curry, who survives in Holts Summit.

He was a self-employed auto mechanic. He attended the Baptist Church.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Ruth Curry and Rachel Curry, both of Holts Summit; three sons, Jeremy Harold Curry, Michael Curry and Joseph Curry, all of Holts Summit; one brother, Finnis Curry, Troy, Ill.; and one foster brother, Bill Kessler, Tuscumbia.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Mark Kessler will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Tuscumbia.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested in care of the family.

JOHNSEY

Sarah Jeanette Amos Johnsey, 96, Tuscumbia, died Sept. 5, 2002, in Tuscumbia.

She was born March 17, 1906, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of James and Mary Gordon. She was married to Jess Amos, who died in 1956.

She was a seamstress in the garment industry. She lived in Versailles before moving to Tuscumbia.

Survivors include: one daughter, N. Carolyn Wingler, Gravois Mills; one son, Raymond L. Amos, Lenexa, Kan.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Doris Ogden, died in 1971.

The remains were cremated. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Kan., at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.

KROGSTAD

Scott Daniel Krogstad, 27, Russellville, died Sept. 5, 2002, at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.

He was born Aug. 5, 1975, in St. Louis, a son of James and Linda Hassler Krogstad. His parents survive at the home.

He graduated from Russellville High School. He worked at the  Jefferson City Correctional Center. He was a member of the Russellville Methodist Church and a member of the Correction Officers Association.

Other survivors include: one son, Michael Krogstad, Argyle; one brother, Shawn Krogstad, Russellville; and one sister, Susan Hubecky, Russellville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Russellville Methodist Church. The Rev. John Kerr will officiate. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, Russellville.

Memorials are suggested to the Russellville Methodist Church, Russellville.

MORTENSON

Harold Edwin Mortenson, 88, Tipton, died Sept. 5, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born June 26, 1914, in Hayfield, Minn., a son of Morton and Maude Hughes Mortenson. He was married Nov. 10, 1937, in Jackson, Minn., to Eleanor Hawks, who survives at the home.

He was a farmer. He worked for Hunter McDonough Motor Company as a bookkeeper until his retirement in 1982 and Wenger Farm Equipment, both in Versailles. He prepared income tax returns. He was a member of Fortuna United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: four sons, Richard Mortenson and Jerry Mortenson, both of Tipton, Dennis Mortenson, Pleasanton, Calif., and Larry Mortenson, Storm Lake, Iowa; one daughter, Sharon Todd, Sedalia; one sister, Eileen Williamson, Williamsburg, Iowa; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Fortuna United Methodist Church. The Rev. Steve Foley and the Rev. David Howlett will officiate. Burial will be in Moreau Cemetery, near Tipton.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.

Memorials are suggested to the Fortuna United Methodist Church.
