PARKS
John W. Parks, 97, Fulton, died June 25, 1999, at Fulton Manor Care Center.
He was born
Oct. 14, 1901, in Moore County, Tennessee, a son of Andrew W. and Mary Goosby Parks. He was married
Nov. 24, 1921, in Smithland, Tenn., to Monnie Pearl Ward, who died Feb. 23, 1992.
He worked for the United States Post Office in Amarillo, Texas, from 1921 until he was transferred to the Fulton Post Office in 1930. He worked at the Fulton Post Office until his retirement in 1962.
He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He directed the choir while Southside was a mission of First Baptist Church. He was a deacon and trustee after Southside became a church.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Bruce Williamson and the Rev. Ron Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Sunday.

HALL
Earl B. Hall, 89, Camdenton, died June 26, 1999, at Balanced Care Lebanon North, Lebanon.
He was born
Jan. 2, 1910, in Pocahonias, Ark., a son of George W. and Belle Capps Hall. He was married
May 15, 1937, in Camdenton, to Edna A. Haines, who survives at the home.
He lived in Camdenton since 1955. He was a retired installer/repairman for Southwestern Bell.
He was a member of New Home Baptist Church, Camdenton; the I.O.O.F. of Linn Creek; and the Communication Workers of America.
Other survivors include: two sons, Edward Hall, Camdenton, and Kenneth Hall, Springfield; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Clifford Hall, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. L. Dwight Petete will officiate. Burial will be in New Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday.

JENKINS
Andrew D. Jenkins, 82, Henley, died June 25, 1999, at his home.
He was born
Jan. 13, 1917, in Miller County, a son of Ingram D. and Lettie Hollaway Jenkins. He was married
Nov. 27, 1952, in Eugene, to Margaret Thomas, who survives at the home.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he participated in eight amphibious operations in the Pacific Theater and was awarded the Bronze Star with valor. He was a dairy farmer and a carpenter.
He was a member of Eugene Christian Church, where he was superintendent of the Sunday school for several years. He was secretary/treasurer of Spring Garden Cemetery for the last 20 years. He also was a community 4-H leader.
Other survivors include: one son, Clark Jenkins, Garland, Texas; three daughters, Marla Sweaney, Oklahoma City, Okla., Nelda Bodenheimer, Virginia Beach, Va., and Lorna Piper, Flemington; three brothers, Dr. Tennyson Jenkins, Wildomar, Calif., James Jenkins, Eugene, and Lula Fishburn, Haven, Kan.; three stepbrothers, Warren Kallenbach, Palo Alto, Calif., Roger Kallenbach, Stockton, and John Ray Kallenbach, state of Virginia; one sister, Lula Fishburn, Haven, Kan.; and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Burial will be in Spring Garden Cemetery, Eugene.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday.
Memorials are suggested to the Show-Me Christian Youth Home or the Spring Garden Cemetery.
METSCHER
David G. Metscher, 46, Stover, died June 26, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
Arrangements are incomplete at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.
WASHBURN
Services were Saturday in St. Clair for Thelma Fay Washburn, 49, Houston, who died June 23, 1999, in Jefferson City.
She was born
Aug. 23, 1949, in St. Clair, a daughter of James W.and Francis Marie Downey Deaton.
She was raised a Baptist and attended the First Baptist Church in St. Clair.
Survivors include: one son, Pauly Washburn, Union; five daughters, Tammy Heard and Dusty Washburn, both of Salem, Sherry Hays, New Bloomfield, and Terri Nettles and Annie Washburn, both of Fulton; eight brothers, Beryl Downey, St. Clair, Albert Downey, Berger, Eddie Ray Staggs, Fairview Heights, Ill., Larry Moore, Mark Moore and Paul Moore, all of Bolivar, Timmy Moore, Dittmer, and James Deaton, Union; eight sisters, her twin, Selma "Sam" Head, Salem, Pam Stennett, Maryville, Calif., Martha McGee, Olivehurst, Calif., Virginia Moore, Texas, Sally DeClue, House Springs, Colleen DeClue and Josephine Easton, both of Eureka, and Janet Benton, St. Clair; and 17 grandchildren.
Services were at Russell Colonial Funeral Home. The Rev. Eddie Merckling officiated. Burial was in the United Methodist Cemetery, St. Clair.

KLIETHERMES
Lyndal Gayle Kliethermes, 49, Holts Summit, died June 25, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born
May 19, 1950, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Lloyd P. "Bud" and Eunice Robinette Loveall. She was married
Aug. 2, 1975, in St. Elizabeth, to Leroy Kliethermes, who survives at the home.
A 1968 graduate of Jefferson City High School, she worked for the state Division of Professional Registration as a clerk typist for 25 years, and served on the division's Canteen Committee.
Other survivors include: one son, Kip Loveall, Jefferson City; two daughters, Amy Kliethermes and Jodi Kliethermes, both of Holts Summit; one brother, Sam Loveall, Centertown; two sisters, Jean Rush and Doris Gerbes, both of Jefferson City; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Monsignor Bernard Boessen will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
BARGER
Neoma C. Barger, 86, Versailles, died June 27, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born
March 22, 1913, in Russ, a daughter of Clarence and Flora Mae DeVasure Vermillion. She was married
April 26, 1944, to Roy Barger, who died Feb. 14, 1967.
She worked for Primo Pants, Versailles. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Lee's Summit, and was active in the American Legion and VFW auxiliaries.
She is survived by cousins.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hough Chapel Cemetery, near Lebanon. The Rev. Todd Forman will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
BARTLEY
Loyd Dean Bartley, 64, Mokane, died June 26, 1999, at Audrain Medical Center, Mexico.
He was born
Sept. 21, 1934, in Steedman, a son of James R. "Dick" and Abbigale Berry Bartley. He was married
Sept. 10, 1955, to Wilma "Wanda" Ward, who died Jan. 9, 1997.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was employed in construction as a steel worker.
He was a member of Steel Workers Union Local 14627.
Survivors include: one son, Bobby Bartley, Jefferson City; four daughters, Laura Akers, Licking, and Janet Gerling, Gail Christian and Missy Paschang, all of Mokane; three brothers, Bee Bartley, Mokane, Dale Bartley, New Bloomfield, and Lonnie Bartley, Hams Prairie; one sister, Loretta Farmer, Fulton; and seven grandchildren.
One son, Mike Bartley, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. Bruce Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Steedman Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.

DICKNEITE
Cecilia Dickneite, 93, St. Anthony, died June 27, 1999, at St. Elizabeth Care Center.
She was born
Feb. 1, 1906, in St. Anthony, a daughter of John and Anna Schulte Otto. She was married
June 5, 1928, in St. Anthony, to Adolph Frank Dickneite, who died Dec. 3, 1984.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony, where she worked as a custodian for many years. She was a cook for the St. Anthony School for many years until it closed. She was a member of the St. Anthony Senior Citizens.
Survivors include: one son, Robert Dickneite, St. Anthony; one daughter, Mary Ann Voss, St. Anthony; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and two step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. The Rev. Clarence Wiederholt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today, at St. Anthony Parish Hall, with a Christian wake service at 7:30 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia.
GABERT
Beulah M. Gabert, 93, California, died June 27, 1999, at California Care Center.
She was born
April 12, 1906, in Moniteau County, a daughter of Albert T. and Ida Rustin Scherff. She was married
Sept. 14, 1927, in Jamestown, to Roy H. Gabert, who died June 23, 1997.
A homemaker, she was a cook for the Moniteau County R-1 School, retiring after 14 years.
She was a member of California United Church of Christ and the Shiloh Service Sincerely Farm Club.
Survivors include: one son, Charles Gabert, California; one brother, Hughes T. Scherff, California; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one step grandchild and two step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Gary Schulte will officiate. Burial will be in Evangelical Cemetery, California.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
