MOSLEY

Geoffrey Marc Mosley, 32,  Jefferson City, died Sept. 10, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born March 24, 1970, in Washington , D.C., a son of John A. and Dorothy Ann Crumpler Mosley. He was married July 4, 1999, in  Jefferson City, to Richanda Edmondson, who survives at the home.

He was a member of Strait Way Temple of Deliverance, where he played drums.

Survivors include: two grandmothers, Kalottie Crumpler, Fayetteville, N.C., and Lucinda Campbell, Asheville, N.C.; five sisters, Cassandra Harris, Fayetteville, Anita Proctor, Oakland, Calif., Minster Joann Robinson, Fort Washington , Md., Jean Mosley, Greenville, S.C., and Debra Mosley, Alexandria, Va.; and two brothers, John Mosley and Phillip Mosley, Greenville.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Queen E. Boyles will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday.

Memorials are suggested to Strait Way Temple of Deliverance.

BURNS

Alice Bernice Burns, 80, Osage Beach, died Sept. 12, 2002, at Ozark Care Center, Osage Beach.

She was born Sept. 26, 1921, near Passover, a daughter of William T. and Mary Polly Alice Woolsey Salsman. She was married Oct. 27, 1954, to Robert T. Burns, who died Nov. 23, 1994.

A homemaker, she attended Passover Grade School and graduated from Linn Creek High School. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Camdenton, and the Ladies Auxiliaries in the V.F.W. Post 5923 and the American Legion Post 193.

Survivors include: one son, Charles Burns, Camdenton; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. John Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery, near Linn Creek.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

CLARK

Ethel M. Clark, 90, Columbia, died Sept. 10, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center.

She was born Oct. 1, 1911, in Stephens, a daughter of Lewis and Henrettia Simpson Clark.

She was a member of Simpson Chapel A.M.E. Church, Columbia.

Survivors include: one nephew Benjamin Clark,  Jefferson City; five nieces, Margaret Wilson and Lorene Turner, both of Columbia, Faye Stanback and Annie Clark, both of Springfield, Ill., and Irma Clark, Houston, Texas ; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Simpson Chapel A.M.E. Church. The Rev. John W. Simpson will officiate. Burial will be in Simpson Chapel Cemetery, Columbia.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Warren Funeral Chapel, Columbia.

IVORY

Phillip Bryan Ivory, 41,  Jefferson City, died Sept. 12, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 31, 1961, in East Orange, N.J., a son of Arluther and Ellen Taylor Ivory. His mother, Ellen Sesson, survives in New Jersey. He was married in 1983 to Sheila Hudgins, who survives in  Jefferson City.

He moved to St. Louis in 1967, where he attended public school. He moved to  Jefferson City in 1998. He worked as a corrections officer with the  Jefferson City Correctional Center. He also worked for Prenger Juvenile Center and the United States Postal Service. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran.

Survivors include: one son, Phillip Ivory Jr.,  Jefferson City; one daughter, Lisa Ivory,  Jefferson City; two brothers, Wayne Ivory and Arthur Gibson, both of St. Louis; four sisters, Cynthia Key, Regina Gibson and Brenda Ivory, all of St. Louis and Artee Shakel, Little Rock, Ark.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Cornerstone Baptist Church. The Rev. Brian Credille will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in  Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors in  Jefferson City.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Downs Syndrome Association.

SCHLECTA

Vivian "Joyce" Schlecta, 71, Roach, died Sept. 11, 2002, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach.

She was born July 16, 1931, in Muncie, Kan., a daughter of Jerry J. and Nellie Pierce Miller. Her mother survives in Camdenton. She was married Dec. 23, 1950, in Kansas City, Kan., to Robert Schlecta, who survives at the home.

She was a personal manager for Kmart for 15 years in Kansas City, Kan. She was a member of Walk on the Water Faith Church, Osage Beach, and Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Debra Stefanski, Roach, and Pamela Sue Craig, Sunrise, Fla.; two brothers, Robert J. Miller, Eureka, Mont., and Jerry L. Miller, Missoula, Mont.; one sister, Connie Warren, Palm Dessert, Calif.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be at a later date. The remains were cremated under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.

TRUMMELL

George D. Trummell, 74, Gravois Mills, died Sept. 10, 2002, in Houston, Texas .

Arrangements are at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.

REMMEL

Judith Ann Remmel, 57, Stover, died Sept. 12, 2002, at her home.

She was born Feb. 22, 1945, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Amos and Toncie Mae Maples Mantle. Her father survives in Anaheim, Calif. She was married Dec. 11, 1971, to Richard F. Remmel, who survives at the home.

She was a retired clerk for Nabisco and was a member of West Lake Christian Church, Laurie.

Other survivors include: three sons, Keith Remmel,  Jefferson City, Brian Remmel, Garden Grove, Calif., and Brent Remmel, Stover; one brother, Richard Amos Mantle, Fontana, Calif.; one sister, Doris Jean Kemper,  Jefferson City; two grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at West Lake Christian Church in Laurie. The Rev. Jim Sutherlin will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in Riverview Cemetery,  Jefferson City.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.

DULLE

Esther M. Dulle, 87, Westphalia, died Sept. 13, 2002, at Lake Ozark Retirement Center at Ozark Meadows.

Arrangements are at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in  Jefferson City.

DILLEY

Jacquelyn Kay "Jackie" Dilley, 58, Stover, died Sept. 14, 2002, at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.

She was born June 28, 1944, in West Frankfort, Ill., a daughter of Bill and Janiece Casleton Teaff. Her father survives in Columbia. She was married in 1962 in Moberly to E. Carl Barnes, who survives in Columbia.

She worked as a teacher-aide at Morgan County R-1 school for six years.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Karla Pirch and Kristie Settles, both of Columbia; one sister, Debbie Oyler, Stover; two stepbrothers, Larry Dudgeon, Hermann, and Wesley Dudgeon, Columbia; one stepsister, Irene Gunter, Plano, Texas ; and one grandson.

Her stepmother, Ruby Teaff, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to the Cody Settles College Trust Fund.

HEDGES

Walter P. Hedges, 83, Camdenton, died Sept. 14, 2002.

He was born Nov. 27, 1918, in Iberia, a son of William T. and Mary Dickson Hedges. He was married Sept. 27, 1940, in Fulton, to Norma Jean Hawkins, who survives.

He was a lifelong resident of Missouri. He attended Iberia Junior College and the University of Missouri-Columbia. He and his wife founded Hedges Funeral Home in 1941. In 1960, he moved from Iberia to Camdenton. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 152 in Linn Creek, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite in Joplin and a member of the Shrine of the Lake of the Ozarks. He was a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Temple Shrine of the Lake of the Ozarks, the Elks Lodge 2517 in Osage Beach, Moose Lodge in Camdenton and Lions Club of Camdenton. He was active in the Camdenton Chamber of Commerce and Lake Ozarks Association. He was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and was honored by the Missouri Funeral Directors Funeral Association in 2002 for 60 years in the funeral profession. He was a charter member and past president of Lake Valley Country Club. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Camdenton. He was instrumental in the foundation of Windsor Estates of Camdenton and Ozark Care Nursing Home of Osage Beach. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Other survivors include two daughters, D'Ann Hellstern, Dallas, Texas , and Suzy Heine, Houston, Texas , and three grandchildren.

One daughter, Christy E. Hedges McGeough, died in 1976.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton. Entombment will be in Praying Hands Mausoleum in the Lake Memorial Garden, Osage Beach.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Children's Hospital or the Dream Factory.
