CONNELL
Curtis Lee Connell, 71, Jefferson City, died Sept. 30, 2002, at the Missouri Veterans Home, Warrensburg.
He was born March 24, 1931, near Centertown, a son of William D. and Lula Elizabeth Daehler Connell. He was married July 4, 1953, in Jefferson City, to Rita Beth Gibler, who survives at the home.
He attended Kings Chapel and Centertown schools. He was an Army veteran, attaining the rank of sergeant.
He worked at the Missouri Highway Department for 41 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member and lifetime deacon of the First Christian Church. He was a member of VFW Post 1003, the American Legion Post 5 and a life member of the 11th Airborne Division Association. He volunteered at church, the Boy Scouts and Habitat For Humanity.
Other survivors include two sons, Brian Douglas Connell, Columbia, and Brenton Gregory Connell, Jefferson City, and five granddaughters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church. The Rev. Lawrence Veatch and the Rev. Gary Smith will officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church, the Alzheimer's Association Mid-Missouri Chapter or the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg.
PARKS
Services were today for Kerri Dawn Stovall Parks, 42, Huntsville, Texas , who died Sept. 29, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Oct. 7, 1959, in Cape Girardeau, a daughter of Earl W. and LaFern Morton Stovall. Her mother, LaFern Cockrell, survives in Jefferson City. Her father and stepmother, Earl W. and Verna Stovall, survive in Jackson. She was married Aug. 29, 1998, to Dr. Christopher Parks, who survives in Huntsville.
She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Huntsville.
Other survivors include: one brother, Steve Stovall, Jefferson City; one stepbrother, Allen Farmer, Valley Center, Calif.; and one stepsister, Angie Burr, Jackson.
Services were at McCombs Funeral Home, Jackson. The Rev. Grant Gillard and the Rev. John Gaston officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Fruitland.

PIPES
Harry N. Pipes, 73, Rocky Mount, died Oct. 1, 2002, in Rocky Mount.
He was born July 1, 1929, in Boone County, a son of Nelson and Helen Pipes. He was married June 20, 1946, in Olathe, Kan., to Frances M. Sutton, who preceded him in death.
A former Columbia resident, he owned and operated Pipes Excavating and Trucking for 50 years in Boone County. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. He was a member of Eagles Lodge and AmVets Post 180 in Rocky Mount.
Survivors include two brothers, Herbert Pipes, Columbia, and Bobby Pipes, Hallsville, and one sister, Leona Breedlove, Peoria, Ariz.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia. The Rev. Dennis Swearngin will officiate. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery, Ashland.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon, and from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia.

SAMSON
Anna Marie Samson, 60, Rich Fountain, died Oct. 2, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born May 23, 1942, in Rich Fountain, a daughter of Adolph and Anna Louise Rudroff Neuner. She was married June 24, 1967, in Rich Fountain, to Clement G. "Clem" Samson, who survives at the home.
A homemaker, she was a stenographer for the Missouri State Highway Department. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Jolly Workers Extension Club and the Sacred Heart choir.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Julie Ann Broker, Colfax, Iowa, and Tricia Helton, Vienna; three brothers, Henry Neuner, Stanley Neuner, and John Neuner, all of Jefferson City; one sister, Geraldine Cordes, Jefferson City; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Church, Rich Fountain. The Rev. Michael Murphy and the Rev. Christopher Cordes will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the church, with a prayer service at 6 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Church.

SCHEPERS
Anna Marie Schepers, 67, St. Martins, died Oct. 2, 2002, at Hospice of Jefferson City & Mid-Missouri.
She was born April 17, 1935, in St. Anthony, a daughter of Joseph Sr., and Ida Elizabeth Dickneite Boeckman. She was married May 5, 1956, in St. Martins, to Edwin George "Pete" Schepers, who died Jan. 27, 2002.
A homemaker, she worked at Oberman Pants Factory. She was a cook at Immaculate Conception Catholic School, Cole County Jail and St. Martin Catholic School. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church, the church Quilting Circle and Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include: one son, Edwin J. Schepers, California; four daughters, Janice E. Grumke, Bridgeton, Pamela A. Brauner, Centertown, Carla J. Luebbert, Jefferson City, and Christie M. Murray, Harrisburg; five brothers, Henry Boeckman, Linn, and Joseph Boeckman, Albert Boeckman, Adolph Boeckman and Frederick Boeckman, all of St. Martins; two sisters, Patricia Brondel, St. Martins, and Alberta Koestner, Russellville; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Friday at St. Martin Catholic Church. The Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 4 p.m.

TURNER
Gary Leroy Turner, 54, Fulton, died Sept. 30, 2002, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
He was born Jan. 6, 1948, in St. Louis, a son of Chester L. and Bessie Marie Littrell Turner. His mother, Bessie Rodecape, survives in Fulton.
He worked in construction and was an Army veteran.
Other survivors include: one brother, David Turner, Fulton; three sisters, Edith Dunlap, New Florence, Doris Rodenbaugh, Rush Hill, and Patricia Coffelt, Fulton.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Mike Crowson will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday.
WEBB
Dorsey Junior "Buck" Webb, 62, Versailles, died Oct. 1, 2002, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia.
He was born Jan. 27, 1940, in Stover, a son of Dorsey Sr., and Flossie Jane Goans Webb. He was married July 25, 1959, to Shirley Rumans, who survives at the home.
He was a retired foreman for Hentges Tree Service. He was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He was ordained and served the Ritchie Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: two sons, David D. Webb, Blue Springs, and Michael W. Webb, Versailles; one daughter, Gina L. Webb, Marshall; one brother, William "Buzz" Webb, Stover; four sisters, Lucille Dilley, Stover, Nadine Knox, Lincoln, Donna Sue Claiborne, Kansas City, and JoAnn Schultz, Versailles; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Joe Sprague will officiate. Burial will be in Stover Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

WILLIAMS
Elsie Williams, 98, Fulton, died Oct. 2, 2002, at Presbyterian Manor.
She was born Jan. 23, 1904, a daughter of William O. and Hester Bellett Atkins. She was married Dec. 24, 1921, to Harry W. Williams, who died Oct. 5, 1969.
She was a homemaker and a member of Millers Creek Methodist Church.
She was a seamstress at Presbyterian Manor.
Survivors include: one son, Wilkie Williams, Beebe, Ark.; one daughter, Buanita Miller, Fulton; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Bruce Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Millers Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday.
