SAUNIER

Frank E. Saunier, 101, Linn, died Oct. 2, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born April 24, 1901, in Vosholl, a son of Louis V. and Lucy Lash Saunier. He was married May 16, 1941, in  Jefferson City, to Catherine Zeilmann, who died June 19, 1986.

A lifelong resident of Osage County, he was a member of St. George Church and the Osage Trail Riders. He farmed and also owned and operated his own trucking company. He drove a bus for the Linn R-II Schools for about 35 years.

Survivors include: two sons, Louis S. Saunier, Linn, and Frank H. Saunier,  Jefferson City; two stepdaughters, Mary Ann Hayes, St. Louis, and Rose Ann Leivian,  Jefferson City; 24 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. George Church. The Rev. Daniel I.J. Lueckenotte will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to St. George Church.

PRENGER

Dorothy S. Prenger, 83, Taos, died Oct. 2, 2002, at Green Meadows Skilled Care, Linn.

She was born Nov. 20, 1918, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Conrad and Elizabeth Wilbers Hager. She was married Feb. 27, 1946, in  Jefferson City, to James Henry Prenger, who died June 1, 1993.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos, and the Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include: two sons, Russell K. Prenger, Linn, and Norman R. Prenger, Woodbury, N. J.; one daughter, Iris M. Bounds, Springfield; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

One son, Wayne Prenger, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. J. David Maher will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Monday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Community Hospice of America, 3600 I-70 Drive SE, Suite H, Columbia, Mo. 65201.

JOBE

Melva Katherin Jobe, 89, Tuscumbia, died Oct. 1, 2002, at Miller County Care Center, Tuscumbia.

She was born Feb. 10, 1913, in Paris, Texas , a daughter of Hugh and Alta Carriger Sherman. She was married April 28, 1934, to Norman Jobe, who died Oct. 19, 1976.

She was a seamstress and homemaker.

Survivors include two nieces, Helen Whitehead, Olean, and Elizabeth Keefer, Anderson.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial will be in Union Cemetery near Rocky Mount.

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Friday.

BREWER

Julia M. Brewer, 83, Truxton, formerly of Sunrise Beach, died Oct. 2, 2002, in Truxton.

Arrangements are at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.

HOLMES

George Holmes, 90,  Jefferson City, died Oct. 2, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

Arrangements are at Freeman Mortuary.

WARREN

T. Darlene Warren, 40, Linn, died Oct. 2, 2002, at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.

She was born Jan. 5, 1962, in Bay Springs, Miss., a daughter of George H. and Ann Jeanette Ainsworth Warren. Her mother survives in Sharon, Miss. She was married December, 1979, in Mississippi, to Robert Schlottke, who survives at the home.

She was a graduate of North East Jones High School in Laurel, Miss., and earned her nursing degree from Jones County Junior College in Laurel. She worked as a nurse in the office of Dr. Neal LaPointe in  Jefferson City and Chamois for the past two years. She previously worked at Westphalia Retirement Center and St. Marys Health Center.

Other survivors include: three sons, Joshua Michael Schlottke, Linn, and Robert "Cody" Schlottke and Wesley Harold Scholttke, both of the home; two sisters, Diane Kelland, Lake Charles, La., and Trish Johnson, San Antonio, Texas ; and one granddaughter.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hilke-Millard Funeral Home in Westphalia. The Rev. Murl Nash will officiate. Burial will be in Linn Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the Schlottke Children's Educational Fund.

SEATH

Kay Seath, 91, Eldon, died Oct. 2, 2002, in Columbia.

She was born Oct. 1, 1911, in Eldon, a daughter of Rudolf and Alta Banta Schwartz. She was married June 17, 1959, in Oak Park, Ill., to Dr. William Seath, who died Dec. 9, 1977.

She attended Nyack Bible College and was a missionary in Kentucky. She worked as a secretary for her husband in Chicago. She retired to Eldon in 1972. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Eldon and supported Hopewell Union Church.

Survivors include: two stepdaughters, Dorothy Schwarz, San Antonio, Texas , and Wilma Weber, Fresno, Calif.; one sister, Marion Kneedler, St. Louis; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Eldon. The Rev. Randall Bunch will officiate. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Barnett.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church of Eldon.

SCHAUWECKER

Steve C. Schauwecker, 72, Sedalia, died Oct. 2, 2002, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born Dec. 9, 1929, in Westphalia, a son of Steve A. and Loretta Huber Schauwecker. He was married Nov. 18, 1961, in  Jefferson City, to Wanda B. Williams, who survives.

He graduated in 1947 from Westphalia High School. He worked for several electrical distributors in Central Missouri before retiring from North Supply Co. in 1991. He attended First Baptist Church, Sedalia. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Other survivors include: one son, Mark Schauwecker, Sedalia; one daughter, Brenda Humphrey, Sedalia; one brother, Harry Schauwecker, Carbondale, Ill.; two sisters, Rosemary Schoenen, Kansas City, and Alice Mueller, Decatur, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Sedalia. The Rev. Drew Hill will officiate. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. today.

BARTRAM

Gene N. Bartram, 85, Versailles, died Oct. 3, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born June 26, 1917, in Versailles, a son of Rex E. and Margaret Koch Bartram. He was married June 25, 1949, to Dorothy Buchanan, who survives at the home.

He was a 1935 graduate of Versailles High School and the Williams Institute of Embalming, Kansas City, Kan. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and after the war, he worked in grave registration.

He was a licensed funeral director and embalmer was a partner at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. He was the Versailles city fire commissioner and fire chief. He was also an alderman and served on the city council.

He was a member of the Versailles United Methodist Church, served on the first board of directors of the Mid-Missouri Ambulance District, was administrator and board member of the Good Shepherd Nursing Home District. He was also a charter member of the Versailles Lions Club and a member of the Masonic Lodge 320 A.F. & A.M., Versailles, the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Temple, Springfield, the North Shore Shrine Club and president of the Versailles Cemetery Association.

Other survivors include one daughter, Yvonne Manley, New York, N.Y., and one brother, Tom W. Bartram, Ponca City, Okla.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church. The Rev. Gailya Dow will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Sunday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Versailles United Methodist Church.
