BAKER
Mary Jane Baker, 58, Fulton, died Nov. 6, 2002, at her home.
She was born April 29, 1944, in Saratoga, Wyo., a daughter of Roy and June Stockwell Gage. Her mother survives in Fulton.
She was a waitress and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Fulton.
Other survivors include: three sons, Robert DeWitt, Fulton, and James DeWitt and Danny McManness, both of St. Louis; three daughters, Tammy DeWitt and Laurie DeWitt, both of Mobile, Ala., and Wendy Sanders, St. Louis; two brothers, Robert Gage, Fulton, and John Gage, New Bloomfield; one sister, Debbie Gage, New Bloomfield; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit.
BROSS
Gail Bross, 53, Fulton, died Nov. 6, 2002, at her home.
She was born Aug. 6, 1949, in Wichita, Kan., a daughter of Nelson and Ida Walthal Kyle, who survive in Mission, Texas . She was married May 10, 1981, in Fulton, to Brad Bross, who survives at the home.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Fulton. She worked at the Fulton State Hospital as an occupational therapist.
Other survivors include: one son, Kyle Boffa, Fulton; three daughters, Gwen Medrow and Kelly Tyroler, both of Columbia, and Veronica Salmons, Fulton; two brothers, Gary Kyle, Tampa, Fla., and Glen Kyle, Wichita; one sister, Glenda Jackson, Lone Jack; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, Fulton. The Rev. Jack Barden will officiate.
Visitation will follow the funeral.
Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church or to Ellis Fischel Cancer Center.
Arrangements are under the direction of Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton.
BERRY
John Earl Berry Sr., 42, Eldon, died Nov. 5, 2002, in Jefferson City.
He was born Jan. 25, 1960, in Oakland, Calif., a son of Bill and Jean Simpson Berry, who survive in Eldon.
He was a supervisor at Carousel International in Eldon for eight years.
Other survivors include: one son, John Earl Berry Jr., Eldon; three daughters, Stephanie Weinzapfel and Jessica Groce, both of Eldon, and Jean Berry, Lake Ozark; one brother, Gerald Berry, Eldon; and two sisters, Anna Hasker and Bonita Hendricks, both of Eldon.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Dan Duckworth will officiate. Burial will be in Dooley Cemetery, Eldon.
Visitation will be until 3 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested in care of the family.
LINDQUIST
Lt. Col. Charles Lindquist Jr., 53, Linn, died Nov. 6, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born July 21, 1949, in Joplin, a son of Charles Sr., and Pauline M. Killion Lindquist. He was married Jan. 29, 1970, in Joplin, to Joan L. Duggar, who survives at the home.
He graduated from Joplin High School and Missouri Southern University in Joplin with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. He joined the Army in 1968, serving as a tank gunner and electronics technician in Germany before his discharge as a sergeant in 1973. He served in the Missouri Army National Guard from 1973-1976 and was commissioned in the Army as a second lieutenant in 1979. He served for the past 12 years at the Ike Skelton Training Center in Jefferson City and was supervisory auditor with the Missouri Army National Guard. He was a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Other survivors include: two sons, Jay Wood, Lemoore, Calif., and David Wood, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Brenda Loucks, Webb City; two brothers, Leon Lindquist, Joplin, and Jimmy Lindquist, Gladstone; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Freeman Mortuary. Graveside services with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to cancer research.
LESS
Neva M. Less, 75, Clarksburg, died Nov. 5, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born June 22, 1927, in Moniteau County, a daughter of Aubrey and Stella McGill McBroom. She was married Feb. 16, 1946, in Olathe, Kan., to Jacob "Jake" Less, who died March 15, 1993.
She was a waitress and hostess for Tony's Drive In, Ramada Inn and Best Western in Jefferson City. She was a Christian and a member of FOE Auxiliary 4027, California.
Survivors include: one son, Mike Less, California; one daughter, Susie Blankenship, California; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Ken Mathes will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
MALONE
Kyle Malone, 41, Vienna, died Nov. 5, 2002, at his home.
He was born July 25, 1961, in Jefferson City, a son of Shawn and Imogene Renkemeyer Malone. His mother and stepfather, Imogene and Gary Wyss, survive in Vienna. His stepmother, Jan Malone Wentzel, survives in Brinktown.
He was an assembly line worker at Quaker Window Products Company, Freeburg. He was a member of Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Jim Malone, Jefferson City, and Bryan Wyss, Vienna; two sisters, Andrea Bunda, Littleton, Colo., and Becky Fortson, Koeltztown; and paternal grandmother, Velcia Malone, St. James.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna. The Rev. John Schmitz will officiate. Burial will be in Vienna Public Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
Memorials are suggested to Visitation School, Vienna.
BOESSEN
The Rev. Msgr. Bernard Herman Boessen, 79, Wardsville, died Nov. 7, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born April 16, 1923, in St. Thomas, a son of Joseph F. and Rosa Strope Boessen.
He attended St. Joseph High School, Westphalia. He attended St. Louis Preparatory Seminary and Kenrick Seminary in St. Louis. He was ordained in 1950.
He was assistant pastor of St. Louise de Marillac Parish in Jennings, then was assistant pastor at St. Agnes Parish in St. Louis. In 1966, he was named pastor of Sts. Philip and James Parish in River Aux Vases. The next year he was named pastor of St. Agnes Parish in St. Louis. In 1970, he became pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish in St. Louis. In 1976, he went to St. Margaret of Scotland Parish in St. Louis. In 1983, he moved to Sts. Philip and James Parish, then to St. Paul Parish in St. Paul in 1987.
He currently was serving as associate pastor of St. Boniface Parish in Koeltztown. He served on the archdiocesan Priestly Life and Ministry Committee, as dean of the Ste. Genevieve Deanery, and on the archdiocesan finance council.
He was named senior associate at the St. Charles Borromeo Parish in St. Charles in 1997, and retired to Regina Cleri in 1998. He also served as associate national spiritual director and chaplain of the uniform rank of the Catholic Knights of America.
Survivors include 19 nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church, St. Paul. The Most Rev. John R. Gaydos will officiate. Services also will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. The Most Rev. John R. Gaydos will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will also be from 5-9 p.m. Monday and from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Thomas. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Memorials are suggested to the Priests' Vocation Fund, or to St. Thomas the Apostle Parish.
