OLIVER

Lena Mae Oliver, 97, Springfield, died Nov. 7, 2002, in Springfield.

She was born, March 8, 1905, in Miller County, a daughter of Henry J. and Rosie B. Wolf Deffenbaugh. She was married March 10, 1923, to Truman M. Oliver, who died in 1957.

She owned and operated two Dairy Queens in Topeka, Kan., worked for J.C. Penney and started cheese plants in Salem and Greenfield. She was a member of First Christian Church, Eldon.

Survivors include nephews and nieces.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Shirley Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:30-2 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church.

WHEELER

Sandra Sue Wheeler, 54, Madison, died Nov. 3, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center.

She was born Jan. 19, 1948, in Moberly, a daughter of Edgar and Mary Jane Alverson Botkins. Her mother, Mary Jane Kendrick, survives in Madison. She was married in 1967, to Russell Wheeler, who died Jan. 13, 2002.

She moved from Waynesville to Madison recently. She worked at Wal-Mart in St. Roberts.

Other survivors include: one son, James Russell Maute,  Jefferson City; one daughter, Kerry Lynn Wheeler, Madison; four sisters, Mary Rainwater, Madison, Audra Hall, Moberly, Debra Dunkin, Kansas City, and Peggy K. Miller, state of California; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Pleasant Green Baptist Church, Madison

Arrangements are under the direction of Agnew Funeral Home, Paris.

BOTT

Edith Lucinda Bott, 97, Laurie, died Nov. 8, 2002, at her home.

She was born Feb. 25, 1905, in Sartell, Minn., a daughter of John and Fannie Estey Palmer. She was married Aug. 18, 1930, to Willis Joseph Bott, who died Dec. 22, 1968.

Survivors include: one son, Richard Palmer "Dick" Bott, Laurie; two daughters, Carol Joyce Brodersen, Wayzata, Minn., and Marilyn Lois Smith, Omaha, Neb.; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.

One great-granddaughter preceded her in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie. Graveside services will be at the Glen Haven Cemetery, Crystal, Minn.

Visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. today.

CAMERON

Helen Jo Cameron, 69, Fulton, died Nov. 9, 2002, at her home.

She was born Nov. 3, 1933, in Mansfield, Texas , a daughter of Owen and Thelma Hunter Smith. She was married April 3, 1959, in Denison, Texas , to Robert "Bob" Cameron, who survives at the home.

She was a member of the Central Christian Church and belonged to the Central Co-Workers. She graduated from high school in Mexia, Texas , and attended nursing school at Scott and White in Temple, Texas . She practiced nursing for 33 years.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Sandra Spitzer, Mansfield, Texas , Glenda Cameron, Norman, Okla., and Sarah Caddell, Arlington, Texas ; one son, David Cameron,  Oklahoma City; two sisters, Sarah Novasatty, Valdosta, Ga., and Cilla McDonald, Tucson, Ariz.; one brother, Wayne Smith, Miama, Okla.; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Debo Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill Nigus will officiate. Burial will be in the White Cloud Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday.

Memorials are suggested to Central Christian Church.

HARTMAN

Minnie Kathryn Hartman, 97, Tipton, died Nov. 9, 2002, at Tipton Manor.

She was born Oct. 4, 1905, in Clarksburg, a daughter of Joseph and Louise Dick Doerner. She was married Oct. 14, 1930, in Tipton, to Joe J. Hartman, who died July 5, 1992.

She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Tipton, and the Altar Society.

Survivors include: one son, Joe Ed Hartman, Tipton; three daughters, Dorothy Imhoff and Dolores Distler, both of  Jefferson City, and Anita Lang, Blackwater; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Bernadette Hartman, and one granddaughter preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Fr. Henry Reichert will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. today at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton, with an Altar Society rosary at 3 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.

MCGUIRE

Kurt M. McGuire, 38, Linn, died Nov. 7, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Aug. 5, 1964, in Hermann, a son of Melvin R. and Sandra McGuire. His father survives in Hope. His mother, Sandra Elkins, survives in Lake Havasu, Ariz. He was married Feb. 22, 2002, in Linn, to Sharolyn R. Groveunder, who survives at the home.

He was an honor student at Hermann public schools. He served in the Marine Corps from 1982-86. He was a member of the Rifleman's Association. A resident of central Missouri for most of his life, he was employed at the Harcourt Distribution Center in Linn for the past three years.

Other survivors include: two half-brothers, Koye McGuire, Sacramento, Calif., and Kody McGuire, Bourbon; and one half-sister, Kelly McGuire.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Morton Funeral Home, Linn. The Rev. Glenn Holem will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be in Bailey's Creek Cemetery, Morrison.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

WELCH

Agnes M. Welch, 87, Camdenton, died Nov. 7, 2002, at her home.

She was born Feb. 9, 1915, in Nemaha, Iowa, a daughter of Alexander and Edith Dodd Patterson. She was married June 9, 1938, to John Welch, who died Sept. 16, 1999.

She was a member of the Harper Chapel United Methodist Church in Osage Beach. She was a former school teacher and cashier for Marriott Tan-Tar-A Resort.

Survivors include: one daughter, Joan Faulkner Mason, Camdenton; one sister, Doris Erickson, Atlanta; and one grandson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach. The Rev. Bob Hickman will officiate. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Garden, Osage Beach.

SCHINDLER

Jacqueline D. "Jackie" Schindler, 71, Ivy Bend, died Nov. 9, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.

She was born July 29, 1931, in Kansas City, Kan., a daughter of Roy and Lavetta Keen Blanton. She was married, in Kansas City, to Sam Schindler, who survives at the home.

She worked at Ivy Bend Land Office and was a real estate broker and owner of Pride Realty, Ivy Bend. She was one of the original Ivy Bend First Responders and was active in the Ivy Bend Fire Department, serving on the board of directors. She twice ran the fire department bingo and belonged to the Ivy Bend Fire Department Auxiliary. She was instrumental in organizing the Ivy Bend Youth Association and was active at the Youth Center. She served as secretary-treasurer of the Ivy Bend Water Association and was a member of the Ivy Bend Fest committee.

Other survivors include: four sons, Sam Schindler Jr., Parkville, Christopher R. Schindler, Raymore, Joseph D. Schindler, state of Indiana, and Joseph D. Jata, state of Pennsylvania ; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover. The remains will be cremated.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to the Ivy Bend Youth Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
