BRATTON

Louis A. Bratton, 88, Fulton, died Nov. 12, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.

He was born July 20, 1914, in Bluffton, a son of Lonnie E. and Pauline Verdot Bratton. He was married June 16, 1943, in Linn, to Jewell M. Pasley, who survives in Fulton.

He worked as a maintenance supervisor for the Fulton State Hospital. He was a deacon of Southside Baptist Church and volunteered for the Gideons. He was an Army veteran.

Other survivors include one daughter, Connie Adams, Columbia, and two grandchildren.

One grandson preceded him in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Southside Baptist Church, Fulton. The Rev. Ron Baker and the Rev. Gary Garrett will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton.

Memorials are suggested to The Gideons International and the Missouri Baptist Children's Home, Bridgeton.

HARRIS

Larry Lee Harris, 52,  Jefferson City, died Nov. 13, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born May 11, 1950, in Ft. Dodge, Iowa, a son of Duane Q. and Doris Helene Florea Harris. His mother survives in Ft. Dodge. He was married Feb. 7, 1981, in Ft. Dodge, to Michelle Marie Larsen, who survives at the home.

He was a 1968 graduate of Ft. Dodge Senior High School and a 1973 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls. He worked for Norwest Bank, Ft. Dodge, as chief financial officer, First State Savings Bank, Sedalia, and at the former Memorial Hospital,  Jefferson City. He currently was serving as financial director of the Family Health Center, Columbia. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, where he was treasurer and a member of the choir. He was past president of the Heart of Missouri Humane Society, a former member of the Sedalia Rotary Club and past treasurer of the Girl Scouts of America in Iowa.

Other survivors include: two brothers, Jeff Harris, Mesa, Ariz., and Roger Harris, Ft. Dodge, Iowa.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Scott B. Musselman will officiate.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.

LAKE

Services were Nov. 2 for Leon B. "LB" Lake, 77, Kansas City, formerly of  Jefferson City, who died Oct. 31, 2002, at St. Luke's Hospital.

He was born Feb. 10, 1925, in  Jefferson City, a son of Leon B. and Jessie May Ewing Lake. He was married to Jo Ann Lake, who died in 2001.

He was a graduate of  Jefferson City High School and attended college in Kirksville, receiving a degree in business. From 1951-1977, he was a special agent for the FBI, working in New York, Chicago, and Kansas City. He was active in the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include one son, Michael Lake, Blue Springs, one brother, Dr. E.E. Lake, Columbia, and two granddaughters.

Services were at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel. Burial was in Brooking Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Society of Former Agents of the FBI or the American Cancer Society.

LOVICK

Lewis W. Lovick Jr., 67, Sandy Hook, died Nov. 12, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born March 7, 1935, in Malta Bend, a son of Lewis W. Sr. and Helena Eaton Lovick. His mother and father survive in Sheridan, Wyo. He was married Nov. 8, 1980, in Independence, to Janice Fortner, who survives at the home.

He graduated in 1954 from Jamestown High School. He worked for MoDOT as a structural steel painting supervisor for 38 years, retiring in 1997.

Other survivors include: one son, Rick Farmer, Charlotte, N.C.; five daughters, Amy Drake, Stockton, Jackie Sue Pedro, DeSoto, Bobetta Jeffries, Lamar, Diana Steele, El Dorado Springs, and Janet Coffelt, California; one brother, Daniel Lovick, Sheridan; two sisters, Darleen Comfort and Sharleen Livingston, both of Sheridan; 22 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

One son, Frankie Farmer, preceded him in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Chester Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, c/o Judy Allee, P.O. Box 333, Latham, Mo. 65050.

BURKHALTER

V. M. "Mike" Burkhalter, 63, New Bloomfield, died Nov. 13, 2002, in Callaway County, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born Aug. 13, 1939, in Joplin, a son of Vernon O. and Edna Koch Burkhalter. He was married July 8, 1960, in Madison, to Joyce G. Garnett, who survives.

A 1957 graduate of  Jefferson City High School, he lived in Lee's Summit for 27 years, moving back to Central Missouri in 1989. He worked as a driver at the Callaway Nuclear Plant, Reform. He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW and the American Quarterhorse Association. He was a Navy veteran.

Other survivors include: one son, Michael K. Burkhalter, Kansas City; one daughter, Judie Burkhalter, Kansas City; and one sister, Linda McCray, Olathe, Kan.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Stephen Buchholz will officiate. Entombment will be in the mausoleum of Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to Central United Church of Christ.

DUDLEY

Andrew Scott "Andy" Dudley Sr., 80, Lady's Island, S.C., formerly of Linn, died Nov. 13, 2002, at his home.

He was born Sept. 10, 1922, in Shreveport, La. He was married to Reta Evelyn Dudley, who preceded him in death.

He retired from the Air Force as a lieutenant colonel. He was a veteran of World War II. He also served in Korea and Vietnam.

Survivors include one son Andrew Scott Dudley Jr., Lady's Island, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Burial will be private.

Memorials are suggested to Friends of Caroline Hospice, 1110 13th St., Port Royal, S.C. 29935.

Arrangements are under the direction of Copeland Funeral Home, Beaufort, S.C.

FIDLER

Steven Fidler, 22, Rocky Mount, died Nov. 13, 2002, in Columbia.

He was born Sept. 10, 1980, in Joplin, a son of Kevin Fidler and Deborah Shumaker Scofield. His father survives in Waco, Texas . His stepfather, Bill Scofield, survives in Rocky Mount.

He worked with Stith Construction Company, Lake Ozark

Other survivors include: one daughter, Macee Fidler, Moberly; one sister, Jamie Fidler, Eldon; one brother, Jake Fidler, Waco; and grandparents Robert and Nancy Hancock, Waco.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Parker's Mortuary, Joplin. Burial will be in Carl Junction Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Visitation also will be from 6-7 p.m. Saturday at Parker's Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to M.A.D.D.

LANSFORD

Jessica Mary Lansford, 19, Linn, died Nov. 10, 2002, in Osage County, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born Aug. 26, 1983, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of David F. and Betty J. Orscheln Lansford. Her mother and father survive in Linn.

A 2002 graduate of Linn R-2 High School, she was studying drafting at Linn State Technical College. She worked at Thriftway Supermarket and the Osage Country Club, both in Linn. She was a member of St. George Church in Linn, and volunteered on several charitable projects in Linn.

Other survivors include: one brother, Nathan David Lansford, of the home; paternal grandmother, Mary Ruth Lansford, Linn; and maternal grandfather, Joseph Lee Orscheln, Linn.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. George Church. The Rev. Daniel I.J. Lueckenotte will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the church, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Arthritis Foundation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Morton Funeral Home, Linn.
