WHITE
Bonnie Velva Cyrus White, 86, Pleasant Valley, formerly of Camden Country, died July 4, 1999, at North Kansas City Memorial Hospital, North Kansas City.
She was born
Feb. 21, 1913, in Camden County, a daughter of Oscar and Margaret Mosier Cyrus. She was married
in March 1929 in Camden County to Walter C. White, who died July 31, 1970.
She was employed with Swift and Company for 21 years and was a certified nurse's aide. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Joyce Sue King, Pleasant Valley; two sons, Lester Joe White, Springfield, and Jesse Dale White, Fulton; one sister, Ottie Meads, Camdenton; one brother, Jessie Cyrus, Marshfield; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Charles Lee White, and one daughter, Bonnie Vivian White.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Camdenton.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton.
Memorials are suggested to Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
JONES
Julie Ann Jones, 51, Lebanon, formerly of Jefferson City, died July 2, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born
Jan. 8, 1948, in Geneseo, Ill., a daughter of Virgil and Peggy Wilson Pobanz.
A graduate of Geneseo High School, she was a homemaker. She also worked as an office clerk.
Private family services are planned.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.
PURKETT
Kathleen S. Purkett, 72, Jefferson City, died July 3, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.

SAUNDERS
James Leroy Saunders, 70, Clearview City, Kan., formerly of Jefferson City, died July 5, 1999, at his home.
He was born
Dec. 29, 1928, in Home City, Kan., a son of Claude L. and Mayme Ellen Coon Saunders. He was married
Nov. 1, 1957, in Jefferson City, to Rosetta Bernice Finn, who survives at the home.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, he attended Jefferson City public schools. He was employed at Jefferson City Taxicab Services and as a corrections officer at Algoa Correctional Center.
After moving to Clearview City, he worked as head of maintenance for the city. He was a member of the Village Church, Clearview City.
Other survivors include: two sons, James Allen McDowell, Eudora, Kan., and Claude Leroy Saunders, Clearview City; two daughters, Dorothy Jo Grizzle, Clearview City, and Sharon Kay Borton, Topeka, Kan.; three stepsons, Bill Brown, Bob Brown and DeWayne Brown, all of Jefferson City; one stepdaughter, Mary Robinette, Jefferson City; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Mayme Ellen Saunders, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Fred Marty will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Longview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the James Leroy Saunders Memorial Fund.
TIETMEYER
Walter L. Tietmeyer, 84, Lake Ozark, died July 4, 1999, at his home.

WIENEMAN
Lois Jerene Wieneman, 80, Jefferson City, died July 6, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.

BEHRENS
Services were today for Robert Lee Behrens, 70, Searcy, Ark., who died July 3, 1999.
He was born
April 15, 1929. He was married
to Phyllis Behrens, who survives in Searcy.
He was a member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in mechanical engineering.
A Navy veteran, he was a mechanical engineer with Vickers until his retirement.
Other survivors include: two sons, Mark Behrens, Falls Church, Va., and Jon Behrens, of Kobe, Japan; two sisters, Betty Robinson, Jefferson City, and LaVona Boozer, Clearwater, Fla.; and two grandsons.
Services were at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. Entombment will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum, Jefferson City.
Arrangements are under the direction of Searcy Funeral Home, Searcy, Ark.
HEMMEL
Charles "Bud" Hemmel, 78, Jefferson City, died July 7, 1999, at St. Joseph's Home for the Aged.
He was born
April 6, 1921, in Jefferson City, a son of Charles and Mary Ann Koecher Hemmel. He was married
May 24, 1941, in Carryville, to Mary Virginia Briggs, who survives at the home.
A lifelong resident of Central Missouri, he graduated from St. Peter's School and attended the University of Missouri. An Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he owned and operated Weatherby Outdoor Advertising until his retirement in 1985.
He was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693, the Jefferson City Host Lions Club, American Legion Roscoe Enloe Post 5 and VFW Post 1003.
He was a charter member and past president of Meadow Lake Country Club. He was a member of the Jefferson City Chapter of Duck's Unlimited, the Quarterback Club at the University of Missouri, the University of Missouri Tiger Scholarship Fund Association, the Helias Association and the Missouri Conservation Federation.
Other survivors include: one son, Chuck Hemmel, Centertown; one daughter, Ruthie Hortsman, Mokane; three grandchildren, three step grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Cathedral. The Rev. Christopher Cordes will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:15 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association of Mid-Missouri or to St. Joseph's Home for the Aged.
SMITH
Delpha Deliah Smith, 93, Columbia, died July 5, 1999, at her home.
She was born
Feb. 25, 1906, in Bexar, Ark., a daughter of David and Alice Scott Dillenger. She was married
July 6, 1924, in Bexar, to Ewing Ramsey Smith, who died Oct. 18, 1992.
A homemaker, she was a member of Bagnell Baptist Church, Lake Ozark.
Survivors include: one daughter, Peggy I. Rosen, Columbia; three sisters, Naomi Hill, Bexar, Hazel Cochran, Salem, Ark., and Verna Jones, Kansas City; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Dean Catlett will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimers Foundation, Columbia.
FRUIT
Merty Faye Fruit, 98, Macks Creek, died July 6, 1999, at Windsor Estate Nursing Home, Camdenton.
She was born
Sept. 5, 1900, in Macks Creek, a daughter of Jim and Zoie Jackson Whitworth. She was married
to Leo Fruit, who preceded her in death.
She attended the Baptist Church.
She is survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
One son, Jack Johnston, preceded her in death.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Hedges Funeral Home, Macks Creek. Burial will be in Parrack Grove Cemetery, Macks Creek.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-noon Saturday.
