PETERSHAGEN
Leroy William "Slap" Petershagen, 75, Jefferson City, died Nov. 20, 2002, at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital.
He was born Dec. 20, 1926, in Jefferson City, a son of Martin H. and Bernice Bernatta Crevelt Petershagen. He was married Dec. 4, 1945, in East St. Louis, Ill., to Evelyn Fay Noble, who survives at the home.
He attended St. Peters Catholic school and the Cedar City schools. He worked for Mid-Mo Tires from 1947-1960, when he became co-owner. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Other survivors include: two sons, Robert L. Petershagen and Jerry W. Petershagen, both of Jefferson City; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One grandson preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Michael Quinn will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
ALBERTIN
Sue Ellen Albertin, 55, Lake Ozark, died Nov. 20, 2002, at St. Louis University Hospital.
She was born June 10, 1947, in Boonville, a daughter of Kenneth and Eunice Luebbering Lappat, who survive in Lake Ozark.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Lake Ozark. A 1965 graduate of Tipton High School, she attended cosmetology school in Jefferson City for one year. She worked at Bent Oaks Resort, Lake Ozark, and most recently at Elhonna Resort. She was president of the fine arts boosters at School of the Osage.
Other survivors include two daughters, Karen Albertin, Lawrence, Kan., and Kristin Albertin, California.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Tipton. Msgr. Michael Wilbers will officiate. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:30 p.m. today at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
BUTLER
Pete Butler, 69, Jefferson City, died Nov. 19, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Oct. 18, 1933, in Jefferson City, a son of Walter E. Sr. and Opal Edith Matthews Butler. He was married, Aug. 24, 1961, in St. Louis, to Barbara Butler, who survives at the home.
He was a 1951 graduate of Jefferson City High School and a 1956 graduate of the University of Arkansas, receiving a master of science degree in education in 1959. He served as superintendent of schools for the Cole R-5 and R-3 districts and owned and operated Butler Water Conditioning Company in Jefferson City for 30 years. He was a member of the Jefferson City Noon Lions Club for 41 years, was coordinator for the annual Missouri Lions East-West Football games and was a referee for the Missouri State Athletic Association.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Lisa L. Allen, San Marcos, Calif., and Julie L. Butler, Seattle, Wash.; one sister, Jean Beller, St. Louis; and two grandsons.
Private family services will be held at a later date in San Diego, Calif.

GUNN
Jesse "Jack" Gunn, 82, Lake Ozark, died Nov. 21, 2002, in Osage Beach.
He was born Sept. 29, 1920, in Alton, Ill., a son of Jesse Sr., and Marie Donner Gunn. He was married June 7, 1947, in St. Louis, to Helen "Bee" Bright Gunn, who survives at the home.
He worked for the Ford Motor Company as a lift operator. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Lake Ozark and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 9273, including 3rd and 4th Degrees. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 15026 and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Other survivors include: two sisters, Marcella Carter, Tucson, Ariz., and Dolores Romer, St. Louis.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Msgr. Michael Wilbers will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon, with a prayer service at 4 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
WESTERMAN
Sue Dean Westerman, 91, Rison, Ark., died Nov. 20, 2002, at her home.
She was born Sept. 3, 1911, in Kingsland, Ark., a daughter of Lee P. and Emma Barnett Hamilton. She was married Sept. 23, 1937, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to John J. Westerman, who died Nov. 12, 1994.
A 1928 graduate of Rison High School, she lived in the Jefferson City area for 50 years, moving to Rison in 1995. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, Wardsville, and the St. Anns Sodality. She volunteered with the Red Cross during World War II.
She is survived by one sister, Burnell Wilson, Rison.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Stanislaus Church. The Rev. Louis Dorn will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to St. Stanislaus School, Wardsville.
Arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
OBERKROM
Oscar Oberkrom, 97, Linn, died Nov. 21, 2002, at his home.
He was born March 26, 1905, in Osage County, a son of Henry and Nellie Vuilcott Oberkrom. He was married June 30, 1935, in Freedom, to Ruth Emelia Marie Heidbrink, who survives at the home.
He was a life-long resident of the area and worked with the Federal Corps of Engineers for 19 years. He was a farmer and a member of Ryors Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Osage County.
Other survivors include: one son, Ronald E. Oberkrom, Chesterfield; one daughter, Mary R. Duemler, St. Albans; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Ryors Ebenezer United Church of Christ. The Rev. Robert A. Baur and the Rev. Bart Larson will officiate. Burial will be in Ryors Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Saturday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.
Memorials are suggested to Missouri River Hospice.
COOTS
Jerry Wayne Coots, 60, New Bloomfield, died Nov. 21, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born July 20, 1942, in Jefferson City, a son of Edgar J. and Alma A. Reinhart Coots.
He was an Army veteran and worked for the Missouri Highway Department and was a groundskeeper at Meadow Lake Golf Course.
He was a member of Providence Baptist Church, New Bloomfield, and a member of the Howard County Horseshoe Club.
Survivors include: two sons, Bradley Coots and Derick Coots, both of New Bloomfield; one brother, Jim Coots, Holts Summit; one sister, Debbie Coots, New Bloomfield; and one grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday at Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit. The Rev. Jim Shaver will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hartsburg.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Monday and from 1 p.m. until the service on Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to Community Hospice of Columbia or Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
