ROSS

Cheryl Diane Ross, 54, Eldon, died Nov. 23, 2002, in Columbia.

She was born Aug. 5, 1948, in New Virginia, Iowa, a daughter of Benjamin and Fern Fitzgerald Schaffer. She was married Nov. 2, 1963, in Indianola, Iowa, to Dean Ross, who survives at the home.

She worked as a dispatcher for Freightways Trucking in Eldon. She was a member of Model Chapter 89 Order of the Eastern Star and Lake Ozark Motorcycle Association.

Survivors include: two sons, Merrill Ross and Michael Ross, both of Lake Ozark; two brothers, Marc Schaffer, Lake Ozark, and Rex Schaffer, Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Terri Fults, Osage Beach; and one granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Lex Smith will officiate. The body will be cremated.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested in care of the family.

ALEXANDER

Anna Belle Alexander, 84, Dixon, died Nov. 25, 2002, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla.

She was born Sept. 12, 1918, near Dixon, a daughter of James and Anna Peterson West. She was married May 21, 1953, in Dixon, to William Sherman "Willie" Alexander, who died July 5, 1986.

She was a member of High Point Church of God, Dixon.

Survivors include: one son, Willie Alexander, Dixon; one daughter, Hazel Botts, Springfield; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. The Rev. James Bailey will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery, Dixon.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.

FLOWERS

Ronald Eugene Flowers, 56, Mokane, died Nov. 23, 2002, at his home.

He was born Sept. 15, 1946, in Kirksville, a son of Paul and Helen Biswell Flowers, who survive in Mokane. He was married in August 1982, in Elgin, Ill., to Franzenia Prejean, who survives at the home.

A carpenter, he was a member of Carpenter's Union 1889 and Chicago District Counsel of Carpenters. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam.

Other survivors include: one son, Craig Neale Flowers, Mokane; one stepson, John Brooks, St. Charles, Ill; one brother, Roger Flowers, Mokane; one sister, Karen Johns, Columbia; one granddaughter; and four step grandchildren.

One son preceded him in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Gary Garrett will officiate. A reception will follow the service at Heartland Church of the Nazarene, Fulton.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Friday.

KELSEY

Ada Catherine Kelsey, 94,  Jefferson City, died Nov. 25, 2002, at  Jefferson City Manor Care Center.

She was born April 11, 1908, in Kaiser, a daughter of William W. and Parmelia Jane Ledford Huddleston. She was married June 29, 1929, in  Jefferson City, to Owen David Kelsey, who died Sept. 5, 1932.

She worked for Tweedie Shoe Factory until the factory closed. She was a past member of New Hope Church in Miller County.

Survivors include nephews and nieces.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. The Rev. Murl Nash will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

LEFFERT

Delmar Lee "Tuck" Leffert, 78, Eldon, died Nov. 24, 2002, in Versailles.

He was born Jan. 8, 1924, in Decaturville, a son of Frank and Anna Campbell Leffert. He was married Sept. 4, 1948, in Decaturville, to Anita LaVerne Blankenship Leffert, who survives at the home.

He was a carpenter with Curtiss-Manes Construction, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Olean Christian Church and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Other survivors include: one son, Steven Leffert, Eldon; four daughters, Susan Rehagen, Holts Summit, and Pamela Virgin, Katherine Seek and Jennifer Beard, all of Eldon; two brothers, Jim Leffert, Montreal, and Kenneth Leffert, Springfield; three sisters, Mabel Perkins, Richland, Dolly Coleman, Kansas City, Kan., and Betty Cochran, Iberia; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

One son, Howard Lee Leffert, and one great-granddaughter preceded him in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Jim Kruse will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery, Linn Creek.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to Show-Me Christian Youth Home, 24302 Mahn Rd. P.O. Box 6, Lamonte, Mo. 65337.

MILLS

Thelma Louise Mills, 84, Moscow Mills, formerly of Fulton, died Nov. 24, 2002, at Callaway Community Hospital, Fulton.

She was born Feb. 9, 1918, in Cherryvale, Kan., a daughter of Herman E. and Evalena Hitchcock Esch. She was married June 14, 1936, in Ottawa, Kan., to Arthur Robert Mills, who died Sept. 13, 1977.

She was a member of Moscow Mills Methodist Church. She was involved in the Moscow Mills OATES program and was volunteer of the year in 1998. She was a committeewoman of OATES and a member of the Olive Owen Goers Club.

Survivors include: one son, Robert Mills, Pacatella, Idaho; two daughters, Evelyn Gay Richards, Fulton, and Marsha Mills, Moscow Mills; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Ed Powlishta will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

SPENCER

Norma Spencer, 73, Columbia, died Nov. 24, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.

She was born March 6, 1929, in Fulton, a daughter of James and Stella Agnus Perry Sneed. She was married in 1944 to Loren Wayne Spencer, who died May 12, 1987.

She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Fulton. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: four sons, John Spencer, Odessa, Texas , Harold Spencer, Portland, George Spencer, Columbia, and Robert Spencer, Lancaster, S.C.; two daughters, Linda Dietzel and Kathy Hamilton, both of Columbia; five brothers; two sisters; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. Bruce Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Fulton.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today.

ASH

Dwight Raymond Ash, 76, Brumley, died Nov. 25, 2002, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach.

He was born Dec. 27, 1925, in Miller County, a son of Otto and Cretia Bertha Robinett Ash. He was married Nov. 6, 1971, in Vancouver, Wash., to Ida Ann Ellison Sanders, who survives.

He was a member of Rodden Church of Christ, near Brumley.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Karen Edwards, Yakima, Wash.; three stepsons, Jimmie Dale Wiser, Korea, Ronnie Sanders, state of Oregon, and Donald Sanders, West Plains; two stepdaughters, Wanda Johnson and Linda Gossell, both of Everett, Wash.; two brothers, Herbert Lee Ash, Brumley, and Leman Ash, Iberia; two sisters, Lona Loudean Brown, Brumley, and Offie DeClue, Tuscumbia; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. Roy Westbrook will officiate. Burial will be in Robinett Cemetery near Brumley.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Friday.
