FRANKLIN

Services were today for John Christopher Franklin, 66, Linn Creek, who died Dec. 9, 2002, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach.

He was born Dec. 13, 1935, near Linn Creek, a son of Clarence and Ruby Fudge Franklin. He was married March 13, 1980, to Patty Malaniey, who survives at the home.

He graduated from Camdenton High School. He owned Circle Z Excavating Heavy Equipment for 30 years. He served on the Camden County Republican committee. He was an Army veteran.

Other survivors include: one son, Chris Franklin, Camdenton; three daughters, Deanna McArthur, St. Louis, Dawn Jeffries, Brumley, and Terri Heintz, Springfield; and eight grandchildren.

Services were at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Rick Ginnings officiated. Burial will be at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

HAMMOND

Casandra Hammond, 23,  Jefferson City, died Dec. 10, 2002, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Arrangements are at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.

KRONK

Barbara Ann Graham Kronk, 69,  Jefferson City, died Dec. 9, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born July 26, 1933, in Benton, Ill., a daughter of Preston F. and Stella Gilliam Graham.

She graduated from DuQuoin (Ill.) High School, received a bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and a master's degree in education from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. She taught school in Granite City for a number of years before moving to  Jefferson City, where she taught remedial reading at South, Southwest, East, Gordon and West schools for more than 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Missouri State Teachers Association, Cole County Retired Teachers Association, Missouri State Retired Teachers Association and the American Early Childhood Association. She was a member of Cole County Historical Society, where she served as a docent. She was a member of the Adult 7 and the Koinoina classes of the First Baptist Church and was a member of the Friendship Singers and Adult Senior Council. She was a representative to the Concord Association for the First Baptist Church, was a member of the mission development committee and the Missouri Baptist Historical Commission. She worked with ministry teams of the church including Homebound, Sunday Visitation, Caring Hands and Baptism ministries. She was a Mission Kids teacher, member of the Missions committee and a member of the Women's Mission Union. She was a missionary in China and Alaska and served with the Meals on Wheels program. She was a second-grade Sunday school teacher

Survivors include: two sisters, Maribel McMillan, Murphysboro, Ill., and Linda Sue Rolando, Alamo, Texas .

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Doyle Sager and the Rev. David Phelps will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in IOOF Cemetery, DuQuoin, Ill.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Buescher Memorial Home.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church.

ROBINETTE

Clarine E. Robinette, 86,  Jefferson City, died Dec. 9, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 10, 1916, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Herman and Kathryn Hilgert Hartman. She was married Nov. 3, 1932, in  Jefferson City, to Lester Robinette Sr., who died Jan. 27, 1993.

A lifelong  Jefferson City area resident, she attended St. Peters School. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peters Church. She was a member of St. Peters Altar Society and the Capitol Squares Square Dancing Club.

Survivors include: one son, Lester "Sonny" Robinette,  Jefferson City; one daughter, Jan Schaefer,  Jefferson City; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Cathedral. The Rev. James M. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Mortuary, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of  Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.

WEEKS

Richard Lewis Weeks Jr., 41, Williamsburg, died Dec. 6, 2002.

He was born Feb. 26, 1961, in Fulton, a son of Richard L. Sr. and Margaret Lee Newsom Weeks, who survive in Calwood.

He was a self-employed construction builder.

Other survivors include: three sons, Richard Weeks III, Williamsburg, and Justin Weeks and Danny Weeks, both of Fulton; six sisters, Patricia Stevens, Vickie Anderson, Dawn Wilson and Jane Thompson, all of Fulton, Nancy Beatty, Columbia, and Rhonda Simmons, Fayetteville, N.C.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in New Hope Cemetery, Calwood. Bruce Williamson will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the Richard Weeks Jr. Memorial Fund, in care of Callaway Bank, Fulton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home.

LUECKENHOFF

Mildred Lueckenhoff, 66, St. Elizabeth, died Dec. 11, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born June 19, 1936, in St. Elizabeth, a daughter of Chris and Mathilda Loethen Borgmeyer. She was married Nov. 9, 1957, in St. Elizabeth, to Robert J. Lueckenhoff, who survives at the home.

She was a receptionist for St. Elizabeth Clinic and a member of St. Lawrence Church, St. Elizabeth. She was a member of St. Ann's Sodality.

Other survivors include: one son, Curtis Lueckenhoff,  Jefferson City; three daughters, Carol Plank, Mary's Home, Sandy Lueckenhoff,  Jefferson City, and Ann Wieberg, St. Elizabeth; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Lawrence Church. The Rev. M. Christopher Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the church, with a rosary at 7 p.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, St. Elizabeth.

DYE

Larry Gale Dye, 55, New Bloomfield, died Dec. 11, 2002, at his home.

He was born Jan. 12, 1947, in Fulton, a son of Marvin and Mildred Howison Dye. His mother, Mildred Nichols, survives in Fulton. He was married in 1968, in Fulton, to Clover Harler, who survives at the home.

He was a farmer and a deputy for the Callaway County Sheriff Department, retiring in 1997. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Tabitha Dye, New Bloomfield; two sisters, Linda Bozeman, Kansas City, and Lori Dye-Soltero, Fulton; and one granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, New Bloomfield. The Rev. Bradley Schmidt will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the Callaway County Sheriff Department educational training fund.

Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit.

MORRISON

Robert L. Morrison, 74,  Jefferson City, died Dec. 11, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 27, 1924, in Carrollton, a son of Harry A. and Grace Long Morrison. He was married Aug. 1, 1945, in Kansas City, Kan., to Faye Lake, who survives at the home.

He graduated from Carrollton High school and attended Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg. He graduated from Lincoln University. He owned and operated Midwest Auto Store in Lee's Summit for several years and was fire chief and civil defense administrator in Lee's Summit for 16 years.

A resident of the  Jefferson City area since 1973, he served as the first fire marshal for the state of Missouri from 1973-1977. He was employed as the arson investigator for the Missouri Farm Bureau from 1977-1988. He was a member of Russellville United Methodist Church. He was a member and past president of the Lee's Summit Methodist Men's Club, was a member of the  Jefferson City Breakfast Lions, was a member and past president of the Arson Investigators Association and was a member and past president of the Firefighters Association. He was a past president of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, a member of the International Fire Chiefs Association, a member of the International Fire Marshals Association and an honorary member of the Lee's Summit Fire Department. He was a past Boy Scout scoutmaster in Lee's Summit and a life member of the Lions International. He received the first Harry Hansen Award for outstanding service to fire service.

Other survivors include: two sons, Larry A. Morrison, Corsicana, Texas , and Stan Morrison, Wildwood; one daughter, Linda Jackson, St. Louis; one brother, Royce A. Morrison, Carrollton; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Barry Hoskins and the Rev. Mike Keith will officiate. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to Russellville United Methodist Church or the Missouri Lions Eye Tissue Bank.
