SULLIVAN

Thomas  Jefferson Sullivan, 88, Wickes, Ark., died Dec. 10, 2002, at De Queen Regional Medical Center, De Queen, Ark.

He was born Sept. 4, 1914, in Wickes, a son of Robert and Maude Lee Brantley Sullivan. He was married July 23, 1938, in Mena, Ark., to Violet Ruth Wagoner, who died Sept. 3, 1987.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Wickes Nazarene Church.

Survivors include: three sons, Thomas J. Sullivan,  Jefferson City, James Sullivan, Wickes, Ark., and David Sullivan, Gore, Okla.; four daughters, Reba Jenkins, Wickes, Ark., Betty Miller, Mena, Ark., Bonnie McDowell, Texarkana, Ark., and Neta Meyer,  Jefferson City; two sisters, Ruby McJunkin, Benton, Ark., and Henrietta Monroe, De Queen; 18 grandchildren: and 29 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Wickes Nazarene Church. The Rev. David Baker, the Rev. Leon McCleskey and the Rev. Scott Ray will officiate. Burial will be in Crystal Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. today at Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, Ark.

RILEY-HAMMOND

Casandra Diane "Sandy" Riley-Hammond, 23,  Jefferson City, died Dec. 10, 2002, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born Nov. 4, 1979, in Fredericksburg, Va., a daughter of Leo B. Riley and Deloris Faye Hayden. Her father and stepmother, Leo B. and Karen Riley, and her mother and stepfather, Deloris Faye and William D. Niemet, all survive in  Jefferson City.

She was a 1998 graduate of  Jefferson City High School. She was a Kirby Vacuum representative for Rancy Incorporated and had worked for Bones Restaurant & Bar, Dudley's Restaurant, Larry's Honda and Westview Mini Mart.

Other survivors include: one sister, Susan Michelle Perkins,  Jefferson City; three stepbrothers, William Christopher Niemet,  Jefferson City, Jonathan Curtis Swetnam, Springfield, and Raymond Ralph Swetnam Jr., Clinton; one stepsister, Stephanie Alaine Wolfmeier,  Jefferson City; maternal grandparents, Headley Garner and Dallas Amelia Hayden, Montross, Va.; paternal grandmother, Helen R. Riley, Burkburnett, Texas ; paternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, Cecil R. and JoAnna L. Riley, Centertown; and fiancé, Phillip C. Ponder,  Jefferson City.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors,  Jefferson City. Burial will be in Centertown Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

THEISS

Elnora Theiss, 83, Clarksburg, died Dec. 10, 2002, at California Care Center.

She was born July 14, 1919, in Statton, Colo., a daughter of Edward B. and Minnie Hanna Alice Ricketts Clark. She was married Oct. 19, 1938, in Boonville, to Earl A. Theiss, who survives at the home.

She was a housekeeper and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, California.

Other survivors include: one son, Harold E. Theiss, Clarksburg; one daughter, Nancy B. Less,  Jefferson City; one sister, Margaret Hinkel, California; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

One son, Gary Lee Theiss, died May 12, 1972.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. David Driscoll will offiicate. Burial will be in Hickman Cemetery, Clarksburg.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today.

VAUGHN

Services were today for Agnes Marguerite Vaughn, 87, Raytown, formerly of  Jefferson City, who died Dec, 9, 2002, at Park Place Care Center, Raytown.

She was born Sept. 29, 1915, in Odessa, a daughter of Wesley and Laura Hollins. She was married to Venning Van Vaughn, who preceded her in death.

She graduated from Lincoln Laboratory High School. She attended Lincoln University.

She owned and operated the Blue Tiger Cafe for 27 years.

She also co-operated the Tops Restaurant for several years.

She was a member of Dunavant Chapel AME Zion Church,  Jefferson City.

Survivors include: three daughters, Agnes L. Gant, Janice K. Vaughn, and Edith L. Vaughn, all of Kansas City; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Sharon M. Vaughn, preceded her in death.

Services were at Cleveland Avenue Baptist Church, Kansas City. Burial was in Floral Hills Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapels, Kansas City.

CLARK

Ricky David "Rick" Clark, 49, Versailles, died Dec. 10, 2002, at North Kansas City Hospital.

He was born Sept. 11, 1953, in Downey, Calif., a son of Jerald and Yolanda Lynn Pettit Clark. His father survives in Rock Hill, S.C. He was married Aug. 28, 1976, to Rita Pifer, who survives at the home.

He was a 1974 graduate of Versailles High School. He co-owned and co-operated Affordable Video since 1983. He was active in youth sports programs in the Versailles area. He started the youth soccer program in 1988 and was instrumental in the micro soccer, flag football and girl's softball programs.

Other survivors include: one son, Alan Clark, St. Joseph; one daughter, Kristi Clark, of the home; three brothers, James Clark, Kings Mountain, N.C., Craig Clark, Rock Hill, S.C., and Joe Nicolini, LaMirada, Calif.; and one sister, Jerilyn Robertson, Fort Mill, S.C.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Versailles High School Leroy Viebrock Memorial Gymnasium. The Rev. William Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. Saturday at the high school.

Memorials are suggested to the Rick Clark Memorial Fund for youth sports programs, in care of Versailles Park Board.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.

MOSIER

Nancy Jean Mosier, 65, Russellville, died Dec. 11, 2002, at her home.

She was born Oct. 14, 1937, in St. Louis, a daughter of Lester and Julia Roth Mosier.

She worked with Blue Cross and Blue Shield in St. Louis and retired from the company's  Jefferson City office. She had worked for Memorial Hospital,  Jefferson City, and formerly wrote the Enon news for the Eldon Advertiser.

She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Russellville.

Survivors include: two brothers, Richard Mosier, Decatur, Ill., and Larry Mosier, Florissant; four sisters, Carol Mosier, Ste. Genevieve, Kathleen Bice, Westminster, Colo., Virgene Doyle, Maywood, Neb., and Joan Epping, Hersey, Neb.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville. Sister Donna Eggering will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Russellville.

REEDY

Services were Monday for Michael Patrick Reedy, 55, Upper Marlboro, Md., formerly of  Jefferson City, who died Dec. 5, 2002, at Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, Md.

He was born Aug. 28, 1947, in  Jefferson City, a son of Sidney J. and Hilda Lawson Reedy. He was married to Eileen Thomas Reedy, who survives in Upper Marlboro.

He graduated in 1965 from  Jefferson City High School and received a bachelor's of arts degree in music in 1969 from Howard University, Washington , D.C. He worked for 32 years with the United States Postal Service, retiring in June. He was a member of the choir at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Washington for 25 years. He was a member of Alpha Phi Omega and Phi Mu Alpha Sinphonia fraternities. He was selected several times to be a student guest soloist with the Washington National Symphony Orchestra.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Michelle L. Bradley, Annandale, Va.; two brothers, Sidney J. Reedy, University City, and Dennis L. Reedy, Des Moines, Iowa.

Services were at J.B. Jenkins Funeral Home, Landover, Md. The Rev. N. A. Tate officiated. Burial was in Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Hyattsville, Md.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
