ROBINETT
Edgar Dewane Robinett, 53, Jefferson City, died Dec. 23, 2002, at his home.
He was born Feb. 27, 1949, in Yakima, Wash., a son of Edgar H. and Ruah Lucille Malmberg Robinett. His father survives in Tebbetts. He was married Feb. 13, 1969, in Kansas City, to Sharon L. Gulley, who preceded him in death. He was married Oct. 17, 1987, in Jefferson City, to Betty Gardner Hoelscher, who survives at the home.
He was a 1967 graduate of Jefferson City High School. He worked at ABB and was in route sales for the Butternut Bread Company. He worked in the maintenance department of the Jefferson City Public Schools. He was a member of the Shawnee Church of the Nazarene, Shawnee Mission, Kan., and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 2693.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Yvonne Brooks, Leewood, Kan., and Dawn Forrester, Edgerton, Kan.; five step-sons, James Bimini, David Hoelscher, Thomas Hoelscher, Michael Hoelscher and Gary Hoelscher, all of Jefferson City; two brothers, Everett "Bud" Robinett, Kansas City, Kan., and Edward O. "Eddie" Robinett, Tebbetts; two sisters, Deloris Moss and Susan Klick, both of Jefferson City; seven grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. John Hobratschk will officiate. Burial will be in Millersburg Baptist Church, Millersburg.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are to Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.
STUBITS
Frank Joseph Stubits, 73, Jefferson City, died Dec. 21, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born March 13, 1929, in St. Louis, a son of Frank M. Jr. and Teresa Mettl Stubits.
He attended McBride High School in St. Louis. He worked for Krey Packing Company from 1960-1978. He was an automotive service technician for the Missouri Highway Patrol from 1980 until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He was a member of the American Legion Roscoe Enloe Post 5 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include: one son, Terrance Lee Stubits, Fenton; one daughter, Michele Strope, Linn; one brother, John L. Stubits. St. Louis; one sister, Arlene Perkins, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three granddaughters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, Jefferson City. Burial with military honors will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
WINNINGHAM
Frona J. Winningham, 102, Dixon, Dec. 21, 2002, in Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla.
She was born Dec. 20, 1900, in Iberia, a daughter of Wesley and Della Smith Jones. She was married Feb. 23, 1921, in Rolla, to Arthur Franklin Ames, who died July 1, 1955. She was married Sept. 23, 1961, in Marshfield, to Guy Winningham, who died in 1979.
She was a member of Assembly of God Church, Dixon, for 59 years. She was a teacher from 1919-1921 at Santee, Salem and Excelsior Country Schools in Maries County. She worked at Frank X. Hauck Bakery, was a sales clerk for Grempezynski Brothers Store from 1943-1957 and was a child care giver.
Survivors include: one daughter, Donna Elkins, Dixon, seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Howard Ames and Russell Ames, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. The Rev. Carrell Day will officiate. Burial will be in Seaton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to the Bible Holiness Church.
YORK
Ward A. York, 79, Dixon, died Dec. 21, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Sept. 29, 1923, in Bloodland, a son of James Newt and Nora Belle Gan York. He was married June 17, 1946, in Leavenworth, Kan., to Mary Ellen Evans, who died Aug. 4, 1993.
He was self-employed as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 513.
Survivors include: five sons, Terry York, Eddie York, Eugene York, and Kenneth York, all of Dixon, and Donnie York, Niangua; one brother, Melford York, St. Louis; two sisters, Irene Booker, Devils Elbow, and Julie Veach, Dixon; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Three infant sons, Dennis York, William Newton York and Samuel Richard York, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Long-Gilbert Funeral Home, Dixon. The Rev. John Parker and the Rev. Patrick Singleton will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:30-3:30 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the VFW of Dixon.
BALDWIN
Kyle Xavier Baldwin, infant son of Cynthia A. Baldwin, Barnett, died Dec. 21, 2002.
He was born June 19, 2002, in Osage Beach.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Jonathan Baldwin and Ethan Baldwin, both of the home; grandparents, David and Melissa Baldwin, both of the home; and great-grandmother, Louise Myers, Richland.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Greenmore Memorial Gardens. Minister William H. "Dub" Scott-Inlow will officiate.
Memorials are suggested in care of the family.
CARRINGTON
Virginia Carrington, 93, Fulton, died Dec. 23, 2002, at the Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Oct. 9, 1909, in Mokane, a daughter of Chalmer and Anna Lynes Wise. She was married May 4, 1935, in Mexico, to Alfred B. Young, who died in 1938. She married June 7, 1980, to Roy Carrington, who survives at the home.
She was a member of the Christian Church, Fulton, and owned and operated a beauty supply store.
Other survivors include: one son, A. Carlton Young, Hermann; one daughter, Betty Salmons, Fulton; one stepson, Lynn Carrington, Carrington; three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Debo Funeral Home Chapel, Fulton. The Rev. Raymond Dunlap will officiate. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Fulton.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and from 1 p.m. until the service Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the Christian Church, Fulton or the American Heart Association.
DAAKE
Linda L. Daake, 67, Camdenton, died Dec. 23, 2002, at Lake Regional Health Center, Osage Beach.
She was born April 7, 1935, in Dodge City, Kan., a daughter of Fred and Irma Clause Townson. Her mother survives in Melrose, N.M. She was married Dec. 29, 1957, in Clovis, N.M., to Fred Daake, who survives at the home.
She was a graduate of Clovis High School, Concordia College, Seward, N.M., and Eastern New Mexico University, Portales, N.M. She worked as a school teacher in Texas , New Mexico, Wyoming and Nebraska. She later became a case worker and master foster parent trainer with the Division of Family Services, Camdenton.
She is a member and past officer of Hope Lutheran Church, Osage Beach.
Other survivors include: four sons, Jeffrey Daake, Springfield, Robert Daake, St. Louis, James Daake, Battle Creek, Neb., and Randall Daake, Boulder; two brothers, Freddie Townson, San Francisco, and James Townson, Melrose, N.M.; three sisters, Carolyn Leinberger, Clovis, N.M., Gail Hampton, Lubbock, Texas , and Jane Smith, Sturtevant, Wis.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Hope Lutheran Church, Osage Beach. Pastors John Dautenhahn and Stewart Pepper will officiate. Burial will be in the Laughlin Cemetery, Camdenton.
Visitation will be from noon until the services Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the Hope Lutheran Church Choir.
