STARK

Rebecca Jean "Beckie" Stark, 81, Kaiser, died Dec. 24, 2002, at Lake Regional Health System.

She was born March 10, 1921, in Hardin County, Ky., a daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Dupin Aubrey. She was married June 5, 1943, in Tuscumbia, to Otto M. Stark, who died Feb. 16, 1992.

She was a homemaker and a member of Bible Way Church, Ulman.

Survivors include: two sons, Melvin Stark, Tuscumbia and Donald Stark, Ulman; three daughters, Wilma Edwards, Ulman, Carolyn Fisher, St. Clair, and Brenda Walker, Kaiser; two brothers, Alvin Aubrey, Hardensburg, Ky., and Huie Aubrey, Hardin, Ky.; one sister, Shelly Elliott, Hardensburg, Ky.; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bible Way Church of Ulman. The Rev. Tim Anna and the Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Stark Family Cemetery near Tuscumbia.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon.

STIEFERMANN

Alice A. Stiefermann, 85, Loose Creek, died Dec. 25, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born April 27, 1917, in Loose Creek, a daughter of Henry and Josephine Lock Stiefermann.

She was a graduate of Linn R-II High School. She worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue for 18 years and worked in the treasurer's office as a receipts bookkeeper clerk until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Loose Creek, where she was active in St. Ann's Sodality. She was a member of Osage County Historical Society and the American Legion Auxiliary Roscoe Enloe Unit 5.

Survivors include: one brother, William T. Stiefermann,  Jefferson City; two sisters, Lavonia Stephens, Loose Creek, and Evelyn Schwartze, Westphalia.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Greg Meystrik will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception School or the charity of the donor's choice.

WIMBERLEY

Christopher John Wimberley, 35, Osage Beach, died Dec. 25, 2002, at Lake Regional Health System.

Arrangements are at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia.

ZUMWALT

Spencer Earl Zumwalt, 80, Ashland, died Dec. 24, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center.

He was born March 22, 1922, in Boone County, a son of Brooks and Eula Blythe Zumwalt. He was married in 1950 to Betty Jean Summers, who died in 1991.

He attended school in Ashland. He was an optician for over 40 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and a life member of VFW Roy Sone Post 1003. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge AF and AM 156 in Ashland and a life member of Al Bedoo Temple AAONMS in Billings, Mont. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include: one son, Terry Zumwalt, Ashland; one stepdaughter, Carol Sapp, Boonville; one sister, Doris D. Schmocker, Ashland; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. The Rev. Jim Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hartsburg.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, with Masonic services at 6:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia Foundation.

COX

Clell Laverne Cox, 87, Blue Springs, formerly of Milan, died Dec. 24, 2002, at Oak Grove Nursing Home, Oak Grove.

He was born Oct. 23, 1915, in Milan, a son of William and Myrtle Weston Cox. He was married Dec. 10, 1938, in Pollock, to Virginia Campbell, who survives.

He worked as a funeral director for Schoene's Funeral Home and Furniture Store in Milan, where he lived until 1962. After moving to Blue Springs, he worked as a manufacturer's representative for Ney's Furniture Company until his retirement in 1987.

He was a past member of the Milan Lions Club, and a member and past president of the Blue Springs Country Club. He was a founder of Sullivan County Country Club, Milan.

He officiated football and basketball, while living in Milan. He was a past member of First United Methodist Church, Milan, and a member of St. Peter's Methodist Church, Blue Springs, where he was a member of the Methodist Men's club.

Other survivors include: two sons, Louis Cox, Bakersfield, Calif., and Creighton Cox,  Jefferson City; one sister, Clio LaFaver, Blue Springs; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Peter's Methodist Church, Blue Springs, and at 11 a.m. Saturday at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home, Milan. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Milan.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. today at the church, and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Foundation, c/o Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home, 120 W. 4th St., Milan, Mo. 63556.

HOOD

Robert J. Hood, 32, Slater, formerly of  Jefferson City, died Dec. 26, 2002, near Boonville, after being injured in an accident.

He was born April 8, 1970, in Topeka, Kan., a son of Robert J. Hood and Darlene Morland Patterson. His father survives. His mother survives in Independence. He was married Sept. 21, 2000, in  Jefferson City, to Shawnna Kelly, who survives at the home.

He was employed at Glen Martin Engineering, Boonville, and had lived in Slater since February, after moving from  Jefferson City.

Other survivors include: two sons, Robert James Hood II, and Ryder Williams, both of Slater; two daughters, Robyn Hood,  Jefferson City, and Reyanna Hood, Slater; one brother, Gary Patterson, Independence; one sister, Jenny Lynn Moots, Edmond, Okla.; one grandfather, J.B. Morland,  Jefferson City; and one grandmother, Virginia Bowden, Slater.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Welker Funeral Home, Slater. The Rev. Robert Sisney will officiate. The body will be cremated.

KELLER

Kraig William Keller, 38, St. Peters, died Dec. 26, 2002, at his home.

He was born Oct. 15, 1964, in Canton, Ohio, a son of William E. and Vivian Elek Keller, who survive in Bella Vista, Ark. He was married to Diane Lynn Keller, who survives in St. Peters.

He worked a salesman for Specified Technologies, Inc. in Somerville, N.J., for three and one-half years. He was a member of Mid-Rivers Christian Church, St. Peters.

Other survivors include: two sons, Korbin W. Keller and Braden J. Keller, both of the home; one daughter, Ashlyn G. Keller, of the home; four sisters, Valaine Schenkel and Julene Stout, both of Bella Vista, Maureen Rucker,  Jefferson City, and Lorine Janes, Nasauli, Philippines Islands.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mid-Rivers Christian Church, St. Peters. The body was cremated.

Memorials are suggested to Mid-Rivers Christian Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Alternative Funeral Services, Inc., St. Charles.

TOEBBEN

Helen M. Toebben, 84,  Jefferson City, died Dec. 27, 2002, at her home.

Arrangements are at Freeman Mortuary.

GILCREST

Marcella C. Gilcrest, 93,  Jefferson City, died Dec. 29, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

Arrangements are at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
