PETET
Grace Crawford Petet, 90, Eldon, died Dec. 28, 2002, in Eldon.
She was born June 16, 1912, near Grove Springs, a daughter of Elmore and Elsie Moore Crawford. She was married Oct. 29, 1932, in Hartville, to Cleveland "Bud" Petet, who died March 5, 1971.
She attended school in Summit. She lived in the Eldon area for 50 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Rocky Mount Baptist Church for more than 45 years. She was a Sunday school teacher. She was active in GA'S and the Miller County Rebecca Lodge.
Survivors include: three sons, William Petet, Etterville, Donald Petet, Las Vegas, and Tom Petet, Des Moines, Iowa; five daughters, Jean Sisul, Las Vegas, Joyce Curtis, Oquawka, Ill., Mary Kay Beard, Birmingham, Ala., Connie Humphrey, Etterville, and Ilene Clark, Lake Ozark; 29 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Ronald Petet, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Dan Duckworth, the Rev. Lowell Perkins and Minister Borys Boyuk will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.

POPEJOY
Adam Thomas Popejoy, 16, Columbia, died Dec., 27, 2002, in Columbia.
He was born Oct. 21, 1986, in Columbia, a son of Sidney R. and Lori Lea Wiegand Popejoy. His parents survive in Columbia.
He was a sophomore at Hickman High School, where he was an honor student and a member of the Hickman soccer team. He was a member of Columbia Pride soccer team and Boy Scout Troop 4. He was a member of Missouri United Methodist Church, where he served as an acolyte.
Other survivors include: one sister, Katherine Anna Popejoy, Columbia; paternal grandmother, Geraldine J. Popejoy, Eldon; and maternal grandparents, Leonard and Virginia Wiegand, Kearney, Neb.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Missouri United Methodist Church, Columbia. The Rev. Jim Bryan will officiate.
A reception will follow services in the Missouri United Methodist Fellowship Hall.
Memorials are suggested to the Adam Popejoy Scholarship Fund at the College of Arts and Sciences, University of Missouri-Columbia. SCHNEIDER
Gilbert Lloyd "Bud" Schneider, 90, Louisiana, died Dec. 28, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born July 7, 1912, in Hamburg, a son of Henry and Elsie Riske Schneider. He was married Oct. 7, 1939, in Fulton, to Opal Mildred Vandelicht, who died Aug. 6, 2002.
He worked for LaCrosse Lumber Company in Louisiana for 40 years. He was manager of the Centralia lumber yard and the Jacksonville, Ill., lumber yard. He served as credit manager for the company until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church, Louisiana, where he served on various committees. He was a former member of the Centralia Kiwanis Club.
Survivors include: two sisters, Dolores Dobson, New Franklin, and Jeanetta Palmer, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Collier Funeral Home, Louisiana. The Rev. Jay Frost will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fulton.
Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
SCHMIDT
Arthur Andrew Schmidt, 82, Taos, died Dec. 29, 2002, at Westphalia Retirement Center.
He was born Feb. 3, 1920, in Cole County, a son of Herman B. and Catherine Schaefer Schmidt.
He attended Liberty School in rural Cole County. He was a carpenter for many years in the Jefferson City area. He was a security guard for Memorial Hospital until his retirement. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos.
Survivors include: two brothers, Herbert Schmidt and Alfred Schmidt, both of Taos; three sisters, Junice Sheriff, Affton, Frances Groves, Jefferson City and Morina Boehm, Taos.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. J. David Maher will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Masses or St. Francis Xavier School.
THOENEN
Josephine H. Thoenen, 96, Frankenstein, died Dec. 29, 2002, at Green Meadows Skilled Care Facility.
She was born Nov. 29, 1906, in Osage County, a daughter of Lorenz and Agnes Nilges Samson. She was married July 29, 1930, in Frankenstein, to Peter J. Thoenen, who died Feb. 27, 1977.
She was a lifelong resident of Osage County and attended school in Frankenstein. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of Help Catholic Church and the St. Ann's Sodality.
Survivors include: nine daughters, Helen Campbell, Linn, Sr. Therese Thoenen, OSF, Milwaukee, Agnes Meyers, Lee's Summit, Dolores Wolf, Tipton, Florence Kever, Frankenstein, Wilma Laughlin, Chamois, Mary Alice Wilde, California, Paula Boehm, Columbia and Fran Draper, Holts Summit; one brother, Joe Samson, Linn; 33 grandchildren; and 65 great-grandchildren.
One grandchild and one great-grandchild preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Help Catholic Church. The Rev. Daniel I. J. Lueckenotte will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Gethsemane, Frankenstein.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the church, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's School.
Arrangements are under the direction of Morton Funeral Home, Linn.
WILSON
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Grace Episcopal Church for Chloe Ailor Wilson, 91, Dalton, Ga., who died Dec. 7, 2002.
The Rev. Harvel R. Sanders will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mt. Vernon.
DWYER
James "Mickey" Dwyer Sr., 50, Eldon, died Dec. 28, 2002, in Columbia.
He was born April 22, 1952, in Pensacola, Fla., a son of Michael and Kathleen Powers Dwyer. His mother survives in Kansas City. He was married Jan. 26, 1973, in Independence, to Betty Fleming Dwyer, who survives at the home.
He owned and operated Mickey's Heating and Air Conditioning Company.
Other survivors include: one son, James M. Dwyer Jr., Eldon; two daughters, Lucinda "Cindy" Gore and Becky Staum, both of Eldon; three brothers and five sisters, all of the Kansas City area; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Barbara Curtis will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
EHLERS
Dorathea Anna Mathilda "Dora" Ehlers, 87, Stover, died Dec. 30, 2002, at Golden Age Living Center, Stover.
She was born July 7, 1915, in Pyrmont, near Stover, a daughter of Chris A. and Lena Dierking Witte. She was married Dec. 22, 1935, in Pyrmont, to Edwill Ehlers, who died Jan. 27, 1990.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Senior Ladies Aid and the LWML for more than 50 years.
Survivors include: one daughter, Elsie Schlueter, Jefferson City; one brother, Raymond Witte, Stover; three grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
One son, Norman Ehlers, died March 15, 1947.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Rev. Cecil Murdock will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church or St. Paul Lutheran School.

GLOVER
Helen Glover, 82, Fulton, died Dec. 29, 2002, at Callaway Community Hospitalm, Fulton.
She was born Nov. 15, 1920, in Millersburg, a daughter of Kelly and Verna Baker Jackson. She was married Dec. 27, 1943, in Fulton, to Russell Glover, who survives at the home.
She worked an a nanny and housekeeper for several families. She was a member of the Paris Fork United Methodist Church, Boydsville.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Bonnie Smith, Fulton; one sister, Ollie Mae Glover, Fulton; one grandson; and three great-granddaughters.
One daughter, Dorothy Triplett, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. John Marshall and the Rev. William Givens will officiate. Burial will be in Paris Fork Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
SHERMAN
Darrell R. Sherman, 85, Ashland, died Dec. 31, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born Jan. 19, 1917, in Valentine, Neb., a son of Auther M. and Cora Boyer Sherman. He was married March 29, 1942, in Sutherland, Neb., to Cora Gilkeson, who survives at the home.
He attended school in Sutherland and North Platte, Neb., and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He owned and operated a cattle ranch in Colorado. He sold it in 1952 and joined the Federal Aviation Agency, where he was chief of flight service in Chadron and Grand Island, Neb., and in Columbia at the Regional Airport. He lived in the Ashland area since 1968. He was a member of the Peace United Church of Christ, Hartsburg and the American Legion Post 424. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ronald D. Sherman and Roger G. Sherman, both of Ashland; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
One son, Ray Sherman, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Peace United Church of Christ. The Rev. Bryan Crousore will officiate. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery, Hartsburg.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland.
