ADAMS

Robert Thomas Adams, 81, Shelbyville, Ill., formerly of Fulton, died Dec. 31, 2002, at his home.

He was born Oct. 27, 1921, in Fulton, a son of Oscar L. and Myrle Craighead Adams. He was married June 16, 1947, in Fulton, to Wanda Dean Morts, who survives in Shelbyville.

He owned and operated Adams Construction Company in Fulton for 25 years. He worked for LaCrosse Lumber in Fulton for 20 years as an estimator. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Fulton. He was a member of the VFW in Fulton and Shelbyville. He was an Army veteran of World War II, receiving the Purple Heart.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Devona Jo Eversole, Tower Hill, Ill.; three brothers, Richard Adams, Fulton, Kenneth Adams, Hartsburg and Odie Adams, Independence; and two grandsons.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Stephen Sowder will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.

BROWNFIELD

Duane Brownfield, 58, Versailles, died Jan. 1, 2003, at Bothwell Regional Hospital, Sedalia.

He was born June 17, 1944, in Sedalia, a son of Gordon F. and Elaine Ray Brownfield. His mother survives in Versailles.

He graduated from Green Ridge High School in 1962. He owned and operated Mini Mart in Gravois Mills and Brownfield Amusement Company for several years. He owned and operated Brownfield Mini-storage in Versailles.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Jeff Cochran will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to the Show-Me Christian Youth Home near LaMonte.

HAZLETT

Justin "Eric" Hazlett, 41, Williamsburg, died Dec. 31, 2002, at his home.

He was born May 4, 1961, a son of Joe W. and Martha Sue Patterson Hazlett. His father survives in Williamsburg and his mother survives in Auxvasse.

He worked as a laborer in construction.

Other survivors include: three brothers, Bruce Hazlett, Springfield, Joseph Hazlett, Williamsburg, and Jason Hazlett, Auxvasse; and one half-sister, Kim Saxton, Festus.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Mike Haldeman will officiate. Burial will be in Williamsburg Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

McKENZIE

Paul Ray McKenzie, 75, Osage Beach, died Jan. 2, 2003, at his home.

He was born Aug. 12, 1927, in Hebron, Neb., a son of Fred and Agnus McKenzie. He was married in October1949 to Carol Pierce McKenzie, who survives at the home.

He graduated from Hebron High School. He was a farmer and worked for Farm Bureau Insurance as district supervisor for an area of Nebraska and Iowa. In 1972, he purchased Belle Villa Best Western Motel, Belleville, Kan., and later purchased Lake Chateau Best Western, Osage Beach. He was a Navy veteran.

Other survivors include: two sons, Mike McKenzie, Lebanon, and Mark McKenzie, Osage Beach; two daughters, Ellen Shank, Omaha, Neb., and Karen Lehr, Osage Beach; one sister, Mary Marr; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hebron. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach, with a rosary at 3 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Tri-County YMCA, Capital Campaign Fund for the future YMCA building, Box 541, Osage Beach, MO 65065.

KUTTENKULER

George Herman Kuttenkuler, 82, Tipton, died Jan. 2, 2003, at Tipton Manor.

He was born Feb. 1, 1920, in Tipton, a son of Herman and Lorene Claas Kuttenkuler. He was married July 5, 1945, in Tipton, to Helen Miller, who survives.

A lifelong resident of the Tipton area, he was a farmer. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of Tipton Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the American Legion for 53 years and was a member of Farmer's Sportmen's Club. He was a veteran of World War II.

Other survivors include: three sons, Ken Kuttenkuler, Muskogee, Okla., Kevin Kuttenkuler, Tipton, and Keith Kuttenkuler, Lee's Summit; two daughters, Linda Wiese, Osage Beach, and Michele Higgins, Tipton; one brother, Charles Kuttenkuler, Tipton; 12 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. The Rev. David Veit will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Knights of Columbus service.

Memorials are suggested to St. Andrew's Church.

GRAHAM

Clara A. Graham, 82, California, died Jan. 2, 2003, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Jan. 27, 1920, in Cotton, a daughter George W. and Ola Cox Draffen. She was married March 27, 1939, in Versailles, to Wayne Graham, who died in 1943.

She worked at Biltwell Pants Factory for about 30 years and was a checker at Gerbes for five years.

She moved from  Jefferson City to Fortuna, where she lived most of her life. She was a member of Fortuna Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one son, Rickie Graham, California; two daughters, Joan Newkirk, Versailles, and Judy Hoff, Tipton; six grandchildren; and eight grandchildren.

One son, Bill Graham, and one grandson preceded her in death.

The remains will be cremated. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Jan. 27 in Bunceton Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Fortuna Baptist Church.

BUSH

Louise Bernell Bush, 66, Eldon, died Dec. 31, 2002, in Eldon.

She was born Jan. 31, 1936, in Greene County, Arkansas, a daughter of Gilbert and Goldie Melton Bush.

She worked as a seamstress at a coat factory in Versailles. She was a block mother for kids in Eldon at the Sunrise Mobile Home Park. She was involved with the Royal Rangers and the Sunday school at Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Louise Ann Kirkpatrick, Kirksville, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Three sons, Edwin Wilhelmsen Jr., Billy Wilhelmsen and Carl Bush, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 5:45 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Walter Simpson will officiate.

Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

HARTMANN

Chloris L. Hartmann, 89, Liberty, died Jan. 1, 2003, at Laurie Care Center.

Arrangements are at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
