DUFFER

Nina Marie Duffer, 78, Stover, died Jan. 10, 2003, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Aug. 1, 1924, in Morgan County, a daughter of Charley and Della Shewmaker Webb. She was married April 2, 1941, to Harvey John Duffer, who died May 5, 1999.

She was a homemaker and worked at Amex, Versailles. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one son, Dennia Duffer, Stover; two brothers, Calvin Gene Webb, Slater, and Jimmy Webb, Springfield; one sister, Elva Cable, Kansas City; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Dinzel Webb will officiate. Burial will be in the Stover Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.

KELSAY

Services were Dec. 27 for Warren A. Kelsay, 85, Ocala, Fla., who died Dec. 23, 2002.

He was born June 29, 1917, in Moline, Ill., a son of Adolphus and Myra Nichol Kelsay. He was married Dec. 2, 1946, in Eldon, to Marion Henri Kelsay, who died Sept. 7, 1997.

He attended Eldon High School and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a combat journalist and worked for the Stars and Stripes Army newspaper, retiring after 30 years of service as a master sergeant. He worked for Walt Disney World for eight years. He retired as owner/operator of a tree farm in Ocala. He was a member of Episcopal Church, Ocala, and was an Army veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

Survivors include: one daughter, Patricia Ward, Ocala, Fla.; one sister, Rosanne Sewell, Eldon; and one grandson.

One adopted son, Charles Kelsay, preceded him in death.

Services were in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. The body was cremated under the direction of Veterans Crematory and Burial Service, Clearwater, Fla.

GAYLORD

Lorene Gaylord, 93, Dixon, died Jan. 10, 2003, in the Christian Health Care Center, Dixon.

She was born March 13, 1909, in  Oklahoma, a daughter of James and Alma Bailey Shelton. She was married to Justin Gaylord, who preceded her in death.

She was an Avon representative for 38 years.

Survivors include: one sister, Caroline Alexander, Dixon; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Drue Gaylord.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. The Rev. Jim Morris will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Dixon.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 10-11 a.m. Monday in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.

Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society.

CASE

Robert E. Case, 84,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 10, 2003, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born April 6, 1918, in Boonville, a son of James R. and Emma Jane Cartner Case. He was married Oct. 13, 1940, in Bunceton, to Dorothy O. Betteridge, who survives at the home.

He attended Otterville High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II and received the Purple Heart. He owned and operated the Case Trucking Company.

He was a member of the Bunceton Baptist Church; the Masonic Lodge; Wallace Lodge 456; the Shrine Club, Kansas City; the Scottish Rite, Columbia; the York Rite, Boonville; the Prince of Peace Commandery; and the American Legion, Boonville.

Other survivors include: two sons, James E. Case and John E. Case, both of  Jefferson City; one daughter, Jane Odneal,  Jefferson City; one brother, James T. Case, Boonville.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bunceton Baptist Church. The Rev. Monte Shinkle will officiate. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery, Bunceton.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Freeman Mortuary,  Jefferson City.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association of the American Diabetes Association.

BONNOT

Robert John Bonnot, 71,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 11, 2003, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born March 9, 1931, in  Jefferson City, a son of William A. and Rose C. Hettinger Bonnot. He was married Aug. 20, 1978, to Jean Willmeno McKinney, who survives at the home.

He served in the Air Force as a firefighter for 13 years and for 12 years in the Missouri Army National Guard, until his retirement. He worked for the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department in the sign shop until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Therse Bonnot, Spanaway, Wash.; four stepsons, William McKinney, High Point, Dennis McKinney and Mark McKinney, both of  Jefferson City and Fred McKinney, Elston; one sister, Rosetta Roberson, Birmingham, Ala.; 13 step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Baptist Church. The Rev. Shane Crum will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, with a Fraternal Order of Eagles service at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

GALLOWAY

Glenn D. Galloway, 78, Kaiser, died Jan. 10, 2003, at Osage Beach Health Care Center.

He was born Feb. 19, 1924, in Pleasant Hill, Ill., a son of Mayo and Tessaie Hoover Galloway. He was married March 7, 1945, in Bowling Green, to Billie Chandler, who survives at the home.

He was a self-employed electrician and a member of the United Methodist faith.

Other survivors include: two sons, Dan Galloway, Bethany, Okla., and Dave Galloway, Lenexa, Kan.; and two grandsons.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Crescent Height Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Ill.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.

CASE

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bunceton Baptist Church. The Rev. Monte Shinkle will officiate. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery, Bunceton.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Freeman Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

DUNCAN

Helen L. Duncan, 88,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 13, 2003, at Capital Region Medical Center.

Arrangements are at Freeman Mortuary.
