BARNHOUSE
Johnny Ivan Barnhouse, 41, Portland, died Jan. 26, 2003, at his home.
He was born Feb. 24, 1961, in St. Charles, a son of Edward Sr., and Mary Thompson Barnhouse.
Survivors include: two brothers, Edward Barnhouse and Michael Barnhouse, both of Portland; two sisters, Vernita Ballard, Portland, and Christina Ballard, Williamsburg.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at First Assembly of God Church, Fulton. The Rev. Mike Haldeman will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to First Assembly of God Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home, Fulton.
CLARK
Clifford "Otis" Clark, 60, Iberia, died Jan. 28, 2003, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born May 25, 1942, in Iberia, a son of Paul C. and Pearl Helton Clark. He was married June 6, 1959, in Miami, Okla., to Kay Francis Law, who survives at the home.
He was a member of Iberia Church of Christ.
Other survivors include: one son, Tracy Lynn Clark, Excelsior Springs; one brother, Don Clark, Cabool; one sister, Norma Lou Silven, Raymondville; and four grandchildren.
One son, Kerry Clark, died Sept. 21, 2002.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. Jack Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Alder Springs Cemetery, near Iberia.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the Clifford Otis Clark Memorial Fund.
DOOLEY
Dorothy May Dooley, 88, Jefferson City, died Jan. 27, 2003, at Jefferson City Manor Care Center.
She was born June 23, 1914, in New Bloomfield, a daughter of Abner and Mina Buelah Morris Neeley, She was married Dec. 16, 1939, in Jefferson City, to Johnny G. Dooley, who died Jan. 19, 1976.
She was a graduate of Jefferson City Senior High School. She was a homemaker and worked at Tweedies Shoe Factory for a number of years.
Survivors include nephews and nieces.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Riverview Cemetery. The Rev. Bernice "Berni" Willis will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to Christian's Children Fund or the African Children Choir.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.
HARRIS
Mary J. Duzan Harris, 81, Lamar, died Jan. 28, 2003, at Barton County Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 19, 1921, in Stockton, a daughter of William and Myrtle Anderson.
She had lived in Lamar since 1952 and was a clerk and homemaker.
Survivors include: three daughters, Donna Zaring, Russellville, Linda Burris, Gladstone, and Cathy Tummons, Lamar; one brother, Charles Anderson, state of California; two sisters, Henrietta Stansbury, Stockton, and Marcia Ragan, Lee's Summit; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
One son, LeRoy Ellwood, preceded her in death.
Graveside services will at 1 p.m. Saturday in Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Friday at Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, in care of the Daniel Funeral Home.
BELLAMY
Geraldine Marie Bellamy, 87, Maryland Heights, died Jan. 28, 2003, at the Brookview Nursing Home, Maryland Heights.
Arrangements are at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
HORD
J.W. Hord, 81, Redondo Beach, California, died Jan. 17, 2003, in Torrance, California.
He was born March 11, 1921, in Tebbetts, a son of Herbert and Stella Mayfield Hord. He was married to Naomi Shockley Hord, who survives at the home.
He was a 1939 graduate of Jefferson City High School and a 1943 graduate of Central Methodist College. He spent most of his life in the education field, retiring after 21 years as the personnel director of the Hazelwood School District, St. Louis. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Other survivors include: one son, John Hord, Houston, Texas ; two daughters, Patricia Felz, Manhattan Beach, Calif., and Mary Wetzel, Danville, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
The body was cremated under the direction of White & Day Mortuary, Hermosa, Calif.
Memorials are suggested to the Central Methodist College Endowment Fund.
KEMNA
Hilda H. Kemna, 86, Jefferson City, died Jan. 28, 2003, at Green Meadows Health Care Center, Linn.
She was born Sept. 24, 1916, in Apple Creek, a daughter of Henry N. and Josephine Wibbenmeyer Buchheit. She was married Nov. 9, 1940, in Apple Creek, to Herman A. Kemna, who died April 21, 2002.
She was a cook at the LaSallet Seminary and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church since 1953.
Survivors include: four sons, Charles Kemna, Jefferson City, Leroy Kemna, Preston, Ray Kemna, Kansas City, and Richard Kemna, Owensville; two daughters, Mary Jo Fischer and Margie Hardway, both of Belton; two sisters, Cornelia Winkler and Betty Farrar, both of Perryville; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. The Rev. Brendan Doyle will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m..
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
PEARSON
Donald H. Pearson, 77, Barnett, died Jan. 28, 2003, in Jefferson City.
He was born Dec. 7, 1925, in Vandalia, a son of Glenn I. and Julia Mae Hanley Pearson. He was married Feb. 3, 1948, in Kansas City, to Dolores "Dee" Mayes Pearson, who survives at the home.
He lived in Wentzville for 34 years and was owner/operator of Pearson's Flower Shop. He also was a school bus driver for Wentzville R-4 schools for 15 years. He retired to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1997. He was a member of Wentzville First Baptist Church and was a member of Toastmaster's Club International in St. Louis. He was an Army veteran of World War II, receiving the Purple Heart.
Other survivors include: three sons, Donald A. Pearson, Warrenton, Glenn I. Pearson, Eldon, and David A. Pearson, Moscow Mills; two daughters, Cynthia DuFour, St. Peter's, and MarthaDee Branson, Barnett; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Eldon. The Rev. Randall Bunch will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
