KELLEY
Carol Ann Kelley, 42, Jefferson City, died July 16, 1999, at Capital Healthcare Center.
She was born
April 10, 1957, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Glover and Bertha Webb Brown. She was married
Sept. 3, 1978, in Jefferson City, to Eric Kelley, who survives at the home.
She was a 1975 graduate of Jefferson City High School and a 1977 graduate of Lincoln University, where she received a bachelor's degree.
She worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation from 1976 until her illness in 1996. She attended Second Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Erica Denise Kelley, Jefferson City; one sister, Sandra Norman, Jefferson City; and five brothers, Arthur Brown, Glover Brown and Don Webb, all of Jefferson City, Charlie Brown, St. Louis, and Eugene Webb, Valejo, Calif.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Second Christian Church. The Rev. David P. Ballenger will officiate. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.
CONVERY
Earl J. Convery, 86, Jefferson City, died July 16, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born
July 6, 1913, in Jefferson City, a son of James C. and Lillie Propst Convery. He was married
March 16, 1940, in Jefferson City, to Mildred Owens, who died June 28, 1988.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, he graduated from Jefferson City High School and Jefferson City Junior College. He was employed by the Missouri Highway Department for 42 years, retiring as the supervisor of the highway sign shop in 1978.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Missouri Highway and Transportation Employees Association. He was a past member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 2693.
Survivors include: one son, James L. Convery, Jefferson City; one brother, Roy E. Convery, Centertown; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Freeman Chapel. The Rev. Chris Cordes will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Monday.

BLUE
Ret. Col. James M. Blue, 82, Peoria, Ariz., died July 11, 1999, at Sun Health Hospice, Sun City, Ariz.
He was born
Aug. 16, 1916, in Sedalia, a son of John M. and Elsie Amborn Blue. He was married
July 17, 1964, in Jefferson City, to Christine Schultz Gage, who survives at the home.
He enlisted in the Missouri Army National Guard in 1938 and retired at the grade of colonel in 1976. He received a state appointment to the grade of brigadier general on Aug. 16, 1976.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Linda Kocsis, Sedalia; two stepsons, Mike Gage, McKinney, Texas, and Glenn Gage, Quincy, Ill.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated.
Memorials are suggested to the Children's Therapy Center, Sedalia, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
HOOVER
Carl Stephen "Steve" Hoover, 49, Independence, formerly of Fulton, died July 15, 1999.
He was born
May 9, 1951, in Fulton, a son of Carl and Betty Hoover. His mother and stepfather, Roy and Betty Graver, survive in Fulton.
Other survivors include: his wife, Sandy, of the home; one sister, Linda Case, Fulton; two stepdaughters, Tracy and Lisa; and one stepgranddaughter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Michael Crowson will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
LOVGREN
Noble C. Lovgren, 92, Camdenton, died July 16, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born
Jan. 15, 1907, in Randolph, Kan., a son of Charles A. and Christine Peterson Lovgren. He was married
March 31, 1928, in Ottawa, Kan., to Clara Moenning, who survives at the home.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a sales representative with a number of companies, including Alexander Baking Co. of Topeka, Kan., and Stauffer Publications and Purzone Chemical Co., both in Lawrence, Kan.
He was a member of the Scottish Rite, Arab Shrine and Eagles Lodge in Topeka. For more than 20 years, he enjoyed singing with barbershop quartets and choruses in Topeka.
A 16-year resident of the Lake area, he was a member of Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church and Elks Lodge 2705 in Laurie. He also was a member of the Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M., the Order of the Eastern Star and the North Shore Shrine Club, all in Versailles; the Golden Age Senior Center, Osage Beach; and the Moose Lodge 2322, Camdenton.
Other survivors include: one son, Noble O. Lovgren, Camdenton; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
No services are planned. Private burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park, Topeka.

ANTHONY
Gilbert "Tony" Anthony, 55, Meta, died July 18, 1999, at his home.
He was born
Oct. 1, 1943, in Mobile, Ala., a son of William and Ninon Anderson Anthony. His mother, Ninon Shea, survives in St. Louis. He was married
July 1, 1972, in Clayton, to Sharon Ann Owens, who survives at the home.
A veteran of the Marine Corps, he was an over-the-road truck driver for Rogers-Cartage Co., Sauget, Ill. He was a 24-year member of Teamsters Local 50, Sauget.
Other survivors include: two sons, Lonnie Fowler and Kevin Fowler, both of Meta; three daughters, Shelly Gregorich, Cuba, Connie Brown, Wardsville, and Rhonda Anthony, Meta; two brothers, Robert Anthony, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Michael Anthony, Wichita, Kan.; one sister, Vella Muhs, Barnhart; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fey Funeral Home, Mehlville. The Rev. Bruce McCoy will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Rekus Funeral Home, Meta, and from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday at Fey Funeral Home.
LIENEKE
Edna E. Lieneke, 88, Chamois, died July 18, 1999, at Green Meadows Health Care Center.
She was born
April 21, 1911, in Chamois, a daughter of Louis and Olinda Ahmann Lieneke.
She attended the Busse School. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Chamois, where she was active in the Ladies Guild. She also served as organist and taught Sunday school.
She is survived by one brother, Chester Lieneke, Belleville, Ill.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's United Church of Christ. The Rev. Don Deeker will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Meyer-Hilke-Millard Funeral Home, Chamois.
Memorials are suggested to St. John's United Church of Christ.
OBRIEN
Doris W. Wood Obrien, 72, Camdenton, died July 16, 1999, at St. John's Regional Hospital, Springfield.
She was born
April 23, 1927, in Jackson County, a daughter of Sylvester and Catherne Cole Larabee. She was married
Jan. 1, 1951, in Osceola, to Leonard W. Wood, who died Oct. 24, 1991.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. George Episcopal Church, Camdenton.
Survivors include one nephew, Paul Warman, Strafford.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
Private inurnment will be in Decaturville Cemetery.
VAN NESS
Helen Margaret Van Ness, 93, Camdenton, died July 16, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach.
She was born
May 1, 1906, in Winchester, Kan., a daughter of John A. and Helen Leoba Noll Haas. She was married
May 28, 1936, to Richard Henry Van Ness Jr., who died March 8, 1972.
She attended Winchester High School and received a nursing degree from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing, Kansas City, in 1930. She was a nurse in Kansas City for 36 years and a volunteer for the Red Cross during World War II.
In 1953, she became co-owner of Log Haven Resort, eventually settling in Camdenton. She was a member and sacristan at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Camdenton, and was active at the Camdenton Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include: four sisters, Dorothy Ubelaker, Ottawa, Kan., Geraldine Hanny, Atchison, Kan., Mary Smith, Overland Park, Kan., and Clara Mann, Leawood, Kan.; and one brother, Eugene Haas, Raytown.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. The Rev. James Fuemmeler will officiate. Burial will be in Dale Blair Cemetery, Camdenton.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
