ISENBERG
Samuel Lee Isenberg, 77, Jefferson City, died Feb. 23, 2003, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born March 28, 1925, a son of Henry G. and Rosa Belle Barnhart Isenberg. He was married April 10, 1948, in Jefferson City, to Nadine M. Oidtman, who died May 1, 1996.
He worked with Gold Cup Bakery, Von Hoffman Press and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693.
Survivors include: six sons, Henry L. Isenberg, Auburn, Wash., Samuel James Isenberg and Larry B. Isenberg, both of Jefferson City, Chip M. Isenberg, Henley, Craig J. Isenberg, Ashland, and Jerry S. Isenberg, Wardsville; five daughters, Rose Ann Wellington, Columbia, Mary Bloomer and Kim Schenewerk, both of Holts Summit, Joanie Talbott, Pratt, Kan., and Angel Eakins, Spokane; one sister, Ann Verhoff, Jefferson City; 30 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
One infant daughter, Laurie Annette Isenberg, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Thomas L. Alber will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a rosary at 8 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Helias Foundation or Candlelighters.
LATO
Carole Ann Lato, 67, Sunrise Beach, died Feb. 20, 1935, at Lake Regional Health Systems, Osage Beach.
She was born Oct. 4, 1935, in St. Louis, a daughter of John J. and Roberta A. Owsley Harvath. Her mother survives in Sunrise Beach. She was married Jan. 22, 1955, to Alfonzo Lato, who survives at the home.
She attended Central High School, St. Louis. A homemaker, she was a volunteer at LAMB House and worked with community toy drives. She attended Central High School. She moved to Sunrise Beach in the early 1990s.
She was a member of St. George Episcopal Church, Camdenton.
Other survivors include: two sons, John Lato, St. Louis, and Tom Lato, Bonne Terre; three daughters, Bobbie Dimmett, Warrenton, Tina Schaffer, Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Benita Valenta, Sunrise Beach; two brothers, John Harvath, St. Peters, and Richard Harvath, St. Louis; one sister, Mary Mende, Mountain View, Calif.; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Keith Blansett will officiate.
Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. Tuesday.
McGUIRE
Johnny Star McGuire, 50, Camdenton, died Feb. 21, 2003, in Camdenton.
He was born July 10, 1952, in Camdenton, a son of John B. and Grace Looney McGuire.
He was married Feb. 12, 1994, to Sheryl J. Rooffener, who survives at the home.
He worked at the Ben Turner Construction Company for the past 12 years. He was a member of Mount Horeb Missionary Baptist Church, near Decaturville.
Other survivors include: three sons, Logan McGuire, of the home, and Jonathan McGuire and Jason McGuire, both of Camdenton; seven brothers, Lester McGuire, Gene McGuire, James McGuire, Larry McGuire, Glen McGuire and David McGuire, all of Camdenton, and Gary McGuire, Lebanon; five sisters, Linda Leffert, Crystal Burns, Wanda McGuire and Marjorie Boyle, all of Camdenton, and Francis Stamper, Montreal; and two grandsons.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Horeb Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Dean Rooffener will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.
TATE
Peggy Sue Tate, 41, Centertown, died Feb. 23, 2003, at her home.
She was born Feb. 25, 1961, in Mexico, a daughter of Jack Doyle and Myla Scott. She was married July 14, 1979, in Holts Summit, to Bruce Tate, who survives at the home.
She was a homemaker.
Other survivors include two daughters, Shelby Tate, Columbia, and Sarah Tate, Centertown.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Larry Paris will officiate. Burial will be in Richland Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
ARNOLD
Earl M. Arnold, 88, Sedalia, formerly of California, died Feb. 23, 2003, at Four Seasons Living Center, Sedalia.
He was born July 18, 1914, in Cooper County, a son of Jim and Bess Harris Arnold. He was married Feb. 6, 1933, to Velma Luster, who survives in Sedalia.
A farmer, he trained, showed and sold show horses. He was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church, north of California.
Other survivors include: two brothers, J.P. Arnold, state of Florida, and Bill Arnold, Gray Summit; one granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Shirley Jean Buffington Reid, died Dec. 22, 2000.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Walter Wood will officiate. Burial will be in the California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
LEUTHEN
Gertrude Leuthen, 88, Eldon, died Feb. 23, 2003, in Jefferson City.
She was born May 31, 1914, in Etterville, a daughter of Ed and Annie Thomas Frank. She was married Oct. 12, 1943, in Eldon, to Walter Leuthen, who survives at the home.
She worked as a cook at Olean School before retiring from Eldon Public Schools. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Eldon. She was a homemaker.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Sharon Wood and Cerita Wyrick, both of Eldon, and Angela Brown, Garden City; three sisters, Lillian Miller, Wichita, Kan., Cleo Peace, Tulsa, Okla., and Myrtle Curty, Jefferson City; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Clarence Wiederholt will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon, with a rosary at 7 p.m.
LOYD
Bonnie S. Loyd, 71, Jefferson City, died Feb. 23, 2003, at Oak Tree Villa Nursing Center.
She was born Dec. 15, 1931, in Clarksburg, a daughter of Clyde C. and Sadie Donley Van Stratten. She was married March 3, 1951, in Jefferson City, to James R. Loyd, who survives at the home.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, she was a 1949 graduate of Jefferson City High School. She worked as a telephone coordinator with Sears for 20 years, retiring in 1991.
She was a charter member of Memorial Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Jefferson City Art Club, the Jefferson City Country Club, Meadowlake Acres Country Club and a lifetime member of Jefferson City High School Alumni Club.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Karen S. Davis, St. Louis, and Shari L. Allen, Jefferson City; one son, Stephen J. Loyd, Wichita, Kan.; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Baptist Church. The Rev. Mike Rapp and the Rev. Ken Lumley will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Freeman Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to the Memorial Baptist Church Music Program, the Campus Crusade for Christ or the Turkey Hill Bible Camp.
PATTERSON
Evelyn Patterson, 87, Belle, died Feb. 23, 2003, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 17, 1915, in Bagnell, a daughter of Tommy and Walksie Dixon Lupardus Richardson. She was married May 15, 1936, in Lebanon, to Earl H. Patterson, who preceded her in death.
She retired from Central Missouri Turkey Hatchery, Eldon. She was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ.
Survivors include: one daughter, Connie J. Carr, Belle; one brother, Norman Richardson, Eldon; one sister, Joanne Johnson, Barnett; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Kaiser.
