RAYMO
Doris Marie Raymo, 74, Iberia, died March 14, 2003, at the Osage Beach Health Care Center.
She was born Aug. 7, 1928, a daughter of Louis E. and Maude Schatte Bersin. She was married March 22, 1947, to Phillip Raymo, who died June 16, 1998.
She worked as a medical technician for the St. Louis State School/Hospital.
She was a member of Mt. Gilead Church, near Iberia and was a volunteer at the Pulaski County Sheltered Workshop, Crocker.
Survivors include: two sons, Phillip L. Raymo, St. Peters, and Martin Raymo, Sr., Crocker; two daughters, Phyllis Whittle, Brumley, and Marion Raymo, Iberia; one brother, Richard Bersin, Cahokia, Ill.; two sisters, Marion Bailey, Collinsville, Ill., and Carol Ruelas, St. Louis; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Brian Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in the Iberia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday.
Memorial are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or the Osage Beach Dialysis Clinic.
ROBERTSON
Alta Jane McMillen White Robertson, 88, Roach, died March 13, 2003, in Osage Beach Health Care.
She was born Oct. 12, 1914, near Old Linn Creek, a daughter of Frederick and Lilly Silvey McMillen. She was married in 1929, to William L. White , who died in 1957. She was married in 1960, to Clarence M. Robertson, who died in 1982.
She was a bookkeeper and part owner of Robertson's Lake Estates.
She was a member of the Nondenominational Cross Roads Church, Sunrise Beach, Order of the Eastern Star, the White Shrine and the Fire Station 4 Fire Flies.
Survivors include: one daughter, Phyllis J. Moisson, Roach; one brother, Robert McMillen, Knob Lick; one sister, Marie Mud, Depo, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Herman White , Raymond White and William White .
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Dick Sanders will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery, St. Louis.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the Lake Regional Cancer Treatment Building Fund.
RYAN
Charles Dwayne Ryan, 42, Jefferson City, died March 14, 2003, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 16, 1961, in Jefferson City, a son of Charles and Rosela F. Todd Ryan. His mother survives in Jefferson City.
He was a 1980 graduate of Jefferson City High School.
He was a custodian at Memorial Community Hospital.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: six sisters, Deborah Whitehead, St. Louis, Sandra D. Kirschner, Patricia A. Blackwell, Brenda K. Ryan, Barbara J. Hile and Thresia M. Ryan, all of Jefferson City; and two brothers, Darrell G. Bond, Jefferson City and Rex A. Ryan, Eugene.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors Jefferson City Chapel. Fr. Donald Lammers will officiate. Burial will be in the Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from noon until the funeral.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
SEBEST
Arthur "Art" Sebest, 79, died March 14, 2003, in Jefferson City.
He was born March 5, 1924, in Redding, Penn. He was married in June of 1962, to Pearl Paulson, who died Oct. 16, 1984. He was married July 16, 1994, to Vernice Eads, who died May 8, 1996.
He was a custodian for the Eldon School Systems.
He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
He was also an active lifetime member of the Eldon V.F.W. Post 2442, the American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans and a 32 Degree member of the Masonic Lodge.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Eleanor Jarrett, Jefferson City; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Matt Harenza will officiate. Burial will be at the Eldon City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until the funeral.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
SIMMONS
Joan H. Simmons, 54, Holts Summit, died March 14, 2003, at St. Marys Health Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Valley Center United Church of Christ, Deepwater. Burial will be in the Valley Center Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. at Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home, Osceola.
BAX
Charles Bernard Bax, 59, Koeltztown, died March 16, 2003, at his home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1943, in Jefferson City, a son of August and Hilda Bax. He was married May 21, 1966, in Argyle, to Dorothy Mae Steinman, who survives at the home.
He worked for Howerton Electric Company, Inc., in Jefferson City for 34 years and operated the family farm. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Koeltztown, and served in the Army Reserve for 22 years, retiring in 1985.
Other survivors include: two sons, Christopher Bax and Michael Bax, both of Koeltztown; three daughters, Myra Rackers, Bonnots Mill, Melissa Becker, Argyle, and Nicole Bax, Koeltztown; two brothers, Julian Bax, Koeltztown and Daniel Bax, Wardsville; two sisters, Norma Jean Bax, Koeltztown and Carol Fisher, Argyle; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Koeltztown. The Rev. John Schmitz will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., in the church and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday in the church.
Memorials are suggested to Masses, the American Cancer Society or Missouri River Hospice.
JONES
Audry Lee Jones, 48, Holts Summit, died March 16, 2003, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Nov. 17, 1954, in Memphis, Tenn., a son of Audry S. and Annie Sue Rowland Jones.
He graduated from Bartlett High School in Tennessee and attended Union College in Tennessee. He worked for Great Western Dining from 1996-2002 and owned Bourbon Street Café from 1994-1995.
Survivors include: two brothers, Gary Jones, Holts Summit, and Dale Jones, Duncan, Okla.
Services will be at noon Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, Holts Summit. The Rev. Frank Whitney will officiate. Private graveside services will be held.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday.
