COOPER
Calvin R. Cooper, 83, Camdenton, died March 23, 2003, at his home.
He was born June 30, 1919, in Alta Vista, Kan., a son of Calvin B. and Pearl Wakefield Cooper. He was married Dec. 31, 1942, to Marian Irene Sumner, who survives at the home.
He graduated from high school in Chanute, Kan. He moved to Kansas City and then to Independence, where he worked as a pipe fitter for the Standard Oil Company for 10 years. He worked for the United States Post Office in Kansas City for 20 years, retiring in 1980. He the moved to Lake of the Ozarks, where he lived for the several years. He was a member of the United Methodist faith. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Other survivors include: one son, Daniel Cooper, Neosho; one daughter, Linda Rice, Lakewood, Colo.; one brother, Robert Cooper, Goddard, Kan.; one sister, Bonnie Weir, Wichita, Kan.; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Bob Aubuchon will officiate. Graveside services with full military honors will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City.
Memorials are suggested to the Lake Area Hospice.
COLLINS
Jo Ann Collins, 67, Laurie, died March 25, 2003, at her home.
She was born Feb. 2, 1936, near Camdenton, a daughter of Thomas W. and Thelma June Avery Hill. She was married to Dale Williams, who preceded her in death. She was married to James Collins, who preceded her in death.
A homemaker, she was a member of Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurie.
Survivors include: two sons, Rick Williams, Rocky Mount, and Bob Williams, Gladstone; two daughters, Chris Pryor, Salem, and Carol Ann Boeck, Slater; two sisters, Della Anderson, Laurie, and Barbara Wilkens, Sedalia; and 12 grandchildren.
One son, Gregory T. Williams, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. James Lawley will officiate. Burial will be in Garber Memorial Estates Cemetery, Laurie.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
Memorials are suggested to the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church Youth Fund.
DOERHOFF
Lambert Steve Doerhoff, 81, St. Anthony, died March 24, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Care Center.
He was born Aug. 17, 1921, in St. Anthony, a son of John and Elizabeth Steinman Doerhoff. He was married April 12, 1947, in St. Louis, to Gladys Marie Hickey, who survives at the home.
He worked for Ford Motor Company in Hazelwood until his retirement. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, St. Anthony, where he served as eucharistic minister. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 325, Hazelwood, Iberia VFW Post 6167 and St. Anthony Senior Citizens. He was a third degree of the St. Anthony Knights of Columbus Council 12243. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Other survivors include: three sons, Gary P. Doerhoff, Norfolk, Va., Darrell Doerhoff, Tompkinsville, Ky., and Randy Doerhoff, St. Louis; two daughters, Carla Atchison, Liberty, and Lesa Herx, Iberia; one brother, D.B. "Tim" Doerhoff, St. Peters; two sisters, Rose Love, Marys Home, and Betty McCubbin, Eugene; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
One grandson preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Church. The Rev. M. Christopher Smith will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Parish Hall, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia.
MANNISI
Anthony Mannisi, 64, Linn Creek, died March 23, 2003, at his home.
He was born April 14, 1938, in St. Louis, a son of Peter and Mary Mannisi. He was married to Lee McGraw, who survives at the home.
He was a self-employed business owner and an Army veteran.
Other survivors include: two sons, Dean Mannisi, Osage Beach, and Michael Mannisi, Arnold; three daughters, Kim Houska, Brandy Melton, and Michelle Hall, all of Arnold; one sister, Francis Tierney, Florissant; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.
SEEVERS
Eileen R. Seevers, 80, Camdenton, died March 23, 2003, at Windsor Estates Care Center, Camdenton.
She was born Jan. 15, 1923, in De Soto, a daughter of Jesse and Josephine Vellmar Blackford. She was married May 15, 1942, to Robert J. Seevers, who died Nov. 2, 1993.
She graduated from high school in St. Louis. A homemaker, she lived in Belle for 15 years and moved to Camdenton in 1990.
Survivors include: one son, William T. Seevers, Oglesby, Ill.; two daughters, Judy Arnsberg, Camdenton, and Julie Stumpe, O'Fallon; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Decaturville Missionary Baptist Church. Phil Burns and the Rev. Dean Rooffener will officiate. Burial will be in Allee Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.
Memorials are suggested to Windsor Estates Care Center.
EPPENAUER
Services were March 6, 2003, for James Joseph Eppenauer, 64, Callao, who died March 3, 2003, at his home.
He was born June 28, 1938, in Jefferson City, a son of Paul C. and Nellie M. Gathright Eppenauer. He was married to Margaret "Peggy" Williams Eppenauer, who preceded him in death. He was married Aug. 15, 1985, to Patricia Ann Erman, who survives.
He was a professor of agri-business and economics at University of Missouri-Rolla, Missouri Valley College and Missouri Western State College. He was a production lead at ConAgra in Macon and was a Marine veteran.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Jaimie Eppenauer, Jefferson City; one brother, David Eppenauer, Las Vegas; and two granddaughters.
Arrangements were under the direction of Carney-Armstrong Funeral Chapel, Macon.
WATKINS
Norman C. Watkins, 68, Camdenton, died March 23, 2003, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach.
He was born Nov. 6, 1934, in Kansas City, a son of Steven and Edris Pedersen Watkins. He was married Dec. 29, 1973, to Martha M. Mulleneaux, who survives at the home.
He was raised in Iowa and Nebraska and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska. He lived in Lincoln, Neb., where he worked in construction sales. He later moved to Newton, Iowa, and in 1973 moved to Camdenton. He worked as sales manager for Imperial Foam, Camdenton.
He was a Presbyterian and a member of Zack Wheat American Legion Post 624, Sunrise Beach. He was a member of Elks Lodge 2517, Lake of the Ozarks, and the University of Nebraska Alumni Association. He was an Air Force veteran.
Other survivors include: one son, Steven Watkins, Des Moines, Iowa; two daughters, Elizabeth McCabe, Lincoln, and Mary Nelson, Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Michael Watkins, Rittman, Ohio; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 7 p.m. today at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Keith Blansett will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
CRARY
John M. Crary, 86, Columbia, died March 26, 2003, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born July 28, 1916, in Kansas City, Kan., a son of Lester M. and Mable Cummings Crary. He was married to Jeannette Darrow, who died in 1960. He was married Aug. 17, 1963, in Columbia, to Karleen Forbis, who survives in Columbia.
He retired as an industrial engineer from Corning Fiberglass in Kansas City in 1982.
He was a member of New Liberty Primitive Baptist Church, where he served as deacon for more than 20 years.
He was a member of American Legion Post 1000, Kansas City, Kan.
He was an Army veteran.
Other survivors include: one son, Daniel R. Crary, Fullerton, Calif.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at New Liberty Primitive Baptist Church, Ashland. John Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
