HAGLER
Robert "Bob" Eugene Hagler, 62, Linn Creek, died July 23, 1999, at his home.
He was born
March 26, 1937, in East St. Louis, Ill., a son of Eugene G. and Ethel Ann Outlan Hagler. He was married
March 13, 1982, in East Carondelet, Ill., to Donna Downing, who survives at the home.
He was a medical technician for Lake of Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach. He was an Army veteran.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Ann Wilson, Vienna; one stepson, Lonnie Buatte, Columbia, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Patti Harrelson, New Athens, Ill.; one sister, Imogene Erlinger; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. Saturday.
OPEL
Anna Marie "Anne" Opel, 89, Jefferson City, died July 27, 1999, at her home.
She was born
June 10, 1910, in Taos, a daughter of Bernard and Adelheide Kerperin Bernskoetter. She was married
July 23, 1944, in Jefferson City, to Harold Edward Opel, who died July 13, 1970.
She attended the Taos rural school. She was employed at East End Shoe Factory and Kaullen Store, and was a cashier assistant at Farmers Bank, Lohman.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and St. Ann's Sodality.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Gregory L. Higley will officiate. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
PRICE
Clifford Dean Price, 70, Climax Springs, died July 24, 1999, at his home.
He was born
July 31, 1928, in Cowgill, a son of Clarence C. and Ollie Zelpha Smith Price. His mother survives in Versailles. He was married
Sept. 21, 1987, in Eureka Springs, Ark., to Diana Kathleen McCallen, who survives at the home.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed as a steel mill worker at Armco Wire Rope until his retirement. A resident of the Climax Springs area for the past 16 years, he was a member and deacon at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Camdenton.
Other survivors include: three sons, Ronald Price, Versailles, Steve Pangborn, Kansas City, and Sam Ford, Independence; two daughters, Barbara Dillee, Versailles, and Paula Cline, Edwards; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Two children preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2:15 p.m. Sunday at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Camdenton. Jack George, Bob Potter and Bob Wirth will officiate. Burial will be in Mose Clark Cemetery, Climax Springs.

SIDEBOTTOM
Erma Sidebottom, 90, Stover, died July 28, 1999, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Cole Camp.
She was born
Dec. 21, 1908, in Purvis, a daughter of Newton and Sarah Brown Davidson. She was married
in 1923, in Linn Creek, to Dewey W. "Bert" Sidebottom, who died Nov. 9, 1975.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: two sons, Carl Sidebottom and James Sidebottom, both of Stover; three daughters, Elpha Gillispie, Excelsior Springs, Opal Meeks, Cole Camp, and Mary Ellen James, Gravois Mills; one brother, John Davidson, Stover; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Roy Sidebottom, and one daughter, Annie Cicala, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover. Fred Stamps will officiate. Burial will be in Stover Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
WITTHAUS
Services were July 15, 1999, for Edwin Benjamin Witthaus, 84, Clarinda, Iowa, who died July 12, 1999, at Goldenrod Manor, Clarinda, Iowa.
He was born
June 2, 1915, in Jamestown, a son of Benjamin and Elizabeth Koegler Witthaus. He was married
July 15, 1960, to Ardyth Willis, who survives in Clarinda.
He graduated from Jamestown High School and was an Army veteran. He was a farmer and had worked at Lisle Corporation for 14 years until his retirement. He had been a member of the Evangelical Church, Jamestown.
Other survivors include: one son, Kenneth Witthaus, Omaha, Neb.; three stepsons, Gary Lewis, Sioux City, Iowa, Merlin Lewis, St. Louis, and Richard Lewis, San Diego; one stepdaughter, Sheryl Lunn, Germany; one sister, Katherine Robertson, Jefferson City; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services were at Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel, Clarinda. Graveside services, with military honors, were in Clarinda Cemetery.
DAKE
Wayne Dake, 84, Dixon, died July 29, 1999, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla.
He was born
Oct. 11, 1914, in Miller County, a son of Willard and Ona McKnolly Dake.
He worked at Fort Leonard Wood and was a lifelong farmer.
Survivors include: four sisters, Addie Lawson, Katie Howser, Charlcie Howser and Rozine Nichols, all of Dixon.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. Harold Withers will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, near Dixon.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday.
Memorials are suggested to Fairview Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, Dixon.
THESSEN
Helen M. Thessen, 70, Columbia, died July 28, 1999, in Columbia.
She was born
Jan. 17, 1929, in St. Elizabeth, a daughter of Francis X. and Ann Marie Luebbert Luetkemeyer. She was married
Feb. 16, 1953, in Jefferson City, to Harold Thessen, who survives in Columbia.
She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Other survivors include: one son, Dennis Thessen, Columbia; four daughters, Betty Thessen, San Antonio, Texas, Patty Thessen, Houston, Texas, Judey Thessen, Decatur, Ga., and Laurie Farris, Nashville, Tenn.; two brothers, Ralph Luetkemeyer, St. Louis, and Urban Luetkemeyer, Jefferson City; three sisters, Pauline Luetkemeyer, Ruth Kolb, Mary Lou Luebbert, all of Jefferson City; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. The Rev. Bill Debo will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Columbia.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

ORDOYNE
Richard Luke Ordoyne, 49, Eldon, died July 30, 1999, at his home.
He was born
Jan. 3, 1950, in San Francisco, a son of Nelsen J. and Helen Stonich Ordoyne. He was married
Dec. 12, 1988, in Waggaman, La., to Katherene Lorraine Appelhans, who survives at the home.
He was a member of the Lions Club and worked in the shipyards as a welder. He was a Navy veteran.
Other survivors include: one son, Mark A. Ordoyne, Marrero, La.; three daughters, Kristi Ordoyne, Carolyn Ordoyne and Lori Ordoyne, all of the home; two stepsons, Earl Ray Moore, Waggaman, La., and Christopher W. English, Fort Still, Okla.; three brothers, Johnny Ordoyne, Michael Ordoyne and Wally Ordoyne; one sister, Rosemary Naquila; and one grandson.
Services will be Wednesday at Westside Funeral Home, Marrero, La. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories, Metairie, La.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.
PITTMAN
John William Pittman, 91, Edwards, died July 29, 1999, at Osage Beach Healthcare Center, Osage Beach.
He was born
April 11, 1908, in Durant, Okla., a son of John W. and Cumy A. Enoch Pittman. He was married
Nov. 30, 1933, in Kansas City, to Nell I. Gilhaus, who died Dec. 5, 1983.
He was a long-time resident of the Kansas City area and was employed as an engineer with the Santa Fe Railroad prior to retirement. He lived in the Climax Springs and Edwards communities for the past 27 years. He was a member of Ozark Bethel Chapel Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Shirlene Gulley, Edwards; one sister, Ruby Cima, Hollister; and seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Avaron Hawks, and one grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ozark Bethel Chapel Assembly of God Church. The Rev. John Park will officiate. Burial will be in Climax Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home, Camdenton.

MILLER
Christopher Lewis Miller, 20, Eldon, died July 29, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospitals and Clinics.
He was born
April 16, 1979, in Pauls Valley, Okla., a son of Lewis Miller and Rebecca Lynn Gernhart Mackavage. His father and step-mother, Lewis and Mesia Miller, survive in Blanchard, Okla. His mother and step-father, Rebecca and William Mackavage, survive in Lake Ozark.
He was a construction worker.
Other survivors include: one son, Joshua Miller, Lindsey, Okla., one daughter, Raven Miller, Lindsey, Okla.; two brothers, Jackie Miller, Eldon, and James Miller, Blanchard, Okla.; three sisters, Amber Miller and Jennifer Clark, both of Eldon, and Kayla Miller, Blanchard; and maternal grandmother, Carol Gernhart, Chickasha, Okla.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Blue Springs Baptist Church, near Eldon. The Rev. John Shifflet will officiate. Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon.
Memorials are suggested to his children's trust fund.
SCHUSTER
Sylvester L. Schuster, 86, Tipton, died July 29, 1999, at Tipton Manor.
He was born
Dec. 16, 1912, in Cedron, a son of Leo A. and Anna Katherine Imhoff Schuster. He was married
April 15, 1939, in Tipton, to Virginia M. Bestgen, who died March 21, 1991.
He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Tipton, and was a fourth degree with the Knights of Columbus.
He worked in the excavating business for 30 years and in the upholstery business for 30 years.
Survivors include: five sons, Louis Schuster and John Schuster, both of Tipton, Michael Schuster, Jefferson City, Keith Schuster, Camdenton, and Roy Schuster, Centertown; two daughters, Carol Garrett, Independence, and Judy Newkirk, Lee's Summit; one brother, Harold Schuster, La Mesa, Calif.; one sister, Clara Dubbert, Cameron; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Glen Joseph Schuster and the Rev. Gerald Anthony Schuster.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Tipton. The Rev. Ron Verhaeghe and the Rev. Henry Reichert will officiate. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Tipton.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton. A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Knights of Columbus service.

STROUD
Everette Stroud, 62, Swedeborg, died July 29, 1999, at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
He was born
Aug. 20, 1936, in Mohawk, Tenn., a son of Glenn and Eunivee Petitt Stroud. He was married
July 24, 1959, in Velvidere, Ill., to Marlene Bergeron, who survives at the home.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He served 22 years of active duty, retiring in 1981. He was then employed by the St. Robert Police Department and the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department.
He also worked at the Fort Leonard Wood motor pool for five years and at ITT as a motor vehicle operator for five years. He retired in September 1998 from five years of civil service.
Other survivors include: two sons, Randy Stroud, Crocker, and Robert Stroud, Kirksville; two daughters, Sherry Richardson, Hallsville, and Lori Rousch, Petosi; four brothers, Jim Stroud and Marvin Stroud, both of Rockford, Ill., Glenn Stroud Jr., Genoa, Ill., and Allan Stroud, Davis Junction, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Crocker. Burial will be in Crocker Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday.
